This sounds old lady but a pair of nude nylons would help keep your legs warm without changing the overall look. And I’d definitely do a leather jacket over top Yes but don’t be like the women in my office... if you’re wearing nylons, no open toe shoes.

It’s so freaking cold!
I found a navy jumpsuit I completely forgot about and now I think I’m going to wear that with some tights under it.
And definitely a jacket!

You don't need leather or fur with outdoor heaters at 55 degrees. Texans do I’m from New England, and I would too.

Am I the only one that hates it when a larger or formal event doesn't have weather back up plans? 55 is a little too cold for cocktail attire if you're going to be outside the entire time, IMO.

The wedding I went to last night was like this. It was clear they had expected to use the patios for outdoor seating. It was 40 degrees and the wind was blowing. Even with heaters, and lots of wine, I couldn’t stand it and nobody else could either, which means there was nowhere to sit inside and everybody was crammed and crowded standing trying to eat. Then, at one of the few tables sat the college crowd, with no food, lots of booze, playing on their phones. Let the olds sit down!!
