Having V in her own room is going great. I think we are all sleeping better! She had 2 wake ups last night and didn't sleep in our bed at all. A few more nights like this and I'll start feeling more rested.

I'm just going to post away over here....we did a 5k as a family yesterday. Super slow, but we did it. I'm counting it as my starting point so I can only get faster from here. V started crying to eat halfway through so she and I had to rush to the restroom so I could feed her after the race and as soon as I sat down my bp dropped and I thought I was going to have to send for help. I don't mind feeding her in that restroom b/c they have the comfiest chair for nursing in the whole town! (local fire dept)

Good morning! I’m exhausted. The baby is sick. He was up half the night coughing and sneezing. The congestion made it sound like he was choking at some points. My poor baby. Now I am so tired from being up with him. I have to prep lunches and clean today. Right now I’m having coffee and contemplating a nap.

Its been a rough week here with DD. She started only eating half her bottles and then screaming at us. Adding in the fact that she was hardly sleeping, with her wake ups every 30-40 minutes even on an incline, we are now medicating her reflux. The drs wanted us to try all of the comfirt measures first, but with the refusing to eat adequate amounts of formula we are now going ahead with medicine. Fingers crossed the prevacid works well, and she can eat enough to continue growing and no more painful screaming. My DS1 had really terrible reflux and was on either Prevacid or Prilosec, I can’t remember. Either way, it was a step above Zantac. It made a huge difference. I’m going to talk to the pedi about making the switch for my DD. Hope you see improvement soon!

A steamy shower and saline drops/nose frida really helped the congestion when my boys were babies and got colds. 🤞he improves quickly.

She actually finished at least 3oz at most feeds, and even a couple 4oz. It wore off before her early morning feed, but once it builds up in her, it should last the full 24 hrs. Hopefully it will also help your DD.

Sleep had been pretty bad over here too. I guess the 3 month growth spurt? He went from 1-2 wake ups per night to every 2 hours.

I bought concert tickets yesterday for DH and I for August! There is a Counting Crows/Live tour show not too far...they were favorites of ours back in the day. We may end up taking the baby but we'll leave the toddler home with g'parents for sure. Oh the reason I got them is because there was a Groupon and I got the tix for $14 each. We wanted to go see Juanes at a different venue but those tix are $100...not in the budget right now! LOVE Counting Crows. August and Everything After is one of my favorite album of all time. I’m old though so I think it came out summer going into 8th grade 👵🏻 Great price!

Guise I need some advice!
One of my girlfriends is getting married in June. I think I'm going to ask my SIL to watch the girls since the wedding isn't far from her house. Her bach is over Memorial Day weekend. The plan is to do a bunch of wine tastings.. 4-6 hours taking a limo, and then a nice dinner.
O will be 3 months old. I am pretty sure I left E at 3 months for that long (coaching colorguard), so I'm OK with leaving her with MH, but how am I going to pump? Do I get a battery pack and freemies and just pump in the limo/while driving and be careful to limit my wine? Any ideas or thoughts? I don't even know how much milk to prep. I feel so #new. I have to start a stash too for the two bridal showers i have in May too.
Should I just go for dinner? Try to do the whole thing? I feel guilty leaving mh.. Yet that's what I do every day.

H took the baby last night so I slept from 11-7:30. I feel bad posting this after some rough sleep posts but I’m always so tired I need to brag. Baby slept from 10:30-4:45 so it was a pretty good night. I wouldn’t have been able to go back to sleep so this is good!
He’s sleeping now and I’m trying to figure out our day.
DS1 has a project at school on Wednesday called “All About Me”. I think we we will get some poster board and markers to work on it today. He’s so excited about his “homework project” I’m like dude... soon enough you will never want to do homework but I can tell he feels like a big kid!

sunfrogger yes to pumping in the limo. Hands free bra, bring a little cooler bag. (I actually bought a pumping size bag that’s a cooler and use it for travel. It looks like an ugly black purse but this way it’s only 1 bag I’m carrying, leave it in limo no one seees it) If the whole day is too much I’d personally priorize the wine tasting. This way you get to be w your friends when the party is ramping up. If you come after dinner people may be drunk and you will be sober and it may be funny but not as fun. I wouldn’t limit my wine but that’s just me. Have fun! ETA - don’t feel guilty about your H, feel bad for yourself that you can’t just walk out of the house for a few hours and instead need to start planning 2 months in advance 😂

I think if he could just cough up whatever is hanging out in his chest, he would feel better.

Happy Sunday! Thankfully we aren't go anywhere today (yesterday was insane with everything we did).
Our house needs a major tidy up, laundry needs to be done and we need to move everything from my old car to the new minivan.

For guard I always had access to a plug somehow (a few times I pumped in a hallway surrounded by students but..). I plan to buy a new pump bag anyway so this would be a great test run since I return to work the following Tuesday. I do think the whole day will be too much though so thank you on the advice for what to prioritize. I definitely prefer the tastings even though that's the more expensive part of the day w the limo What bag do you have?

sunfrogger I went on amazon and searched cooler bags or purse cooler or something. This was years ago. Make sure it’s big enough and zips on top. Have enough freezer cooler packs to make it cold to keep your parts and your milk the right temp.

Should I get a car adapter for my Spectra for the limo or a battery bank? How do I do that?

PM me which zoo is the “big zoo”. I am wondering if it’s the one I want to go to. The one in the city. not EWPZ but same metro. Our membership is up at the end of May but we're not sure we're renewing. With the baby EWPZ is closer and more convenient for this summer.

My friend says it’s awesome. I haven’t been yet. I may have to put that on the list of places to go. MH is off on weekends now so it makes it easier for me to go places with him.

Our membership gives us a free ride on the carousel, swan boats, etc. We like it, but it'll be hard to drive 50 min with the baby.

I personally would go for the whole thing. If pumping in the limo isn't an option, surely a winery will have a plug in a bathroom you could use. That would probably be my plan. (Maybe call a few beforehand and ask...?) I wouldn't limit my wine but would mix the pumped milk with pumped milk from a different day if I was worried I was too tipsy. Sounds super fun!!!

Should I get a car adapter for my Spectra for the limo or a battery bank? How do I do that? I'd probably just get one of those plugs that goes in the cigarette lighter an you can plug your spectra straight in. They are pretty inexpensive on Amazon and then you have it to use for other things if you ever need to.
