I took the kids to CFA tonight & the play place was PACKED. The parents that sat behind us were super helicopter-ish over their DS & were super critical of all the parents for being on their phones or talking with their friends instead of looking directly at the kids the entire time. I was eavesdropping & was really glad that my kids all behaved for the few minutes they stayed I pay less attention to my kids when parents like this are around. I figure if there’s a problem, those guys are on it. Am I doing it wrong? They were definitely on top of it. They jumped up & ran in there several time to rescue kids that seemed to be playing perfectly fine to me

I used to have to helicopter parent DD because of her epilepsy. I have never been so glad we cut out that part of her brain than when we’re at the park and I can just let her go at it.

Fffc: I fall asleep to L&O SVU every night on the iPad and turn it back on if I wake up during the night. It's so soothing and I'm probably a complete psychopath. This is me but with Forensic Files.

The baby has been asleep for a while and H is doing the big girl's bed time. I'm so tapped out and thankful that he took the lead on that one. He told me to drink my wine, lol.

This was me before we got married. DH would try to turn it off when he came to bed and I’d snap at him. “I need you to be SURE you want to marry me, because if you want a divorce, you’ll have to kill me. So you need to watch so you know you WILL leave a pube behind.” I was young and naive and have subsequently changed my feelings about divorce. Not that I want a divorce, but that I fully acknowledge that there are situations where a divorce is the best outcome.

I try not to be critical of people because you never know what may be going on. It was more of a "please let my kids act right so they don't talk shit about me too" moment

My people! I've also watched all of Bones and Criminal Minds in the past year. Now that I think about it I'm not sure I finished Criminal Minds because it gets so terrible. I started midway thru and then started over. Sal (I don’t know his real minds, but the guy plays Sal on Homeland) quit after season 1 because he didn’t realize how depraved the criminals would be. I mean that’s nice and all but.. what did he expect? They really go OTT depraved on that show. I always roll my eyes at the super gimmicky killers too who like, kill people based on the collected works of Jack Frost or someshit.

I really liked the chemistry between Penelope and Morgan.
I know he is crazy IRL, but that man in fiction is pure fantasy.

I, Tonya gave me hope because for a while I felt like I just didn’t like anything. It’s so good. I also liked that Valerian movie, which shocked me

This is why I prefer the British/ UK and Scandinavian crime shows. They're OTT in the opposite direction, making the killer so normal it leaves you spooked out of your mind in public places.

@k3am last night we watched one about a hit and run and how the police contacted local body shops to try to find the perp. H and I looked at each other and immediately began discussing how clearly you’d have to drive 50+ miles out to a non-local body shop to throw them off your trail. We’ve picked up many “how to be a good criminal” tricks over the years.
PS: we are not criminals

Also if you’re going to dispose of a body, you need an isolated field, a metal drum, and at least 6 gallons of gasoline.
Or pigs. Either will do.
I’m not morbid at all.

I’m feeling better than a couple hours ago. I still need sleep like now, but my anxiety has gone down. I would like to NyQuil and sleep but H isn’t home so I’ll just have to regular sleep.
