This thread has probably moved on, but my biggest problem is finding a way to eat healthy, feed my family too, and not blow through my food budget which is tiny. I mean the frozen yogurt may be better for you but I can easily get four bags of popcorn for what the frozen yogurt costs. but popcorn is better than frozen yoghurt right? Especially if you are buying plain popcorn I'm not a snack person so i guess the third option here is buy neither

I don't really 'enjoy' working out while I'm doing it. That's why I have to be watching something on tv, to give me something to focus on. But I enjoy the health benefits and I do have more energy and a better mood overall when I do it. I was at 5x/week since last Julyish, but I'm down to 3 usually since getting pregnant. I plan to keep it up as long as I can.

These threads make me miss STP because she and I sat firmly in the "hate exercise" camp.

And it's not just snacks. Proteins are expensive and it gets tiring eating eggs and beans all the time.

This thread is timely. I finally weighed myself this morning and while I'm not far from pre-pregnancy weight I have a bit more I want to lose. I joined a kickstarter and 6 month dietbet and redownloaded MFP. I'm anxious to get cleared to workout but I'm glad it's starting to warm up so I can go on some walks with the baby in the meantime.

I don't love ice cream or sweet things in general but will go HAM over anything salty and crunchy

I do think my body is broke though because I eat a ton of protein and yet I am never full really. I mean I am not starving by any means but I don't necessarily feel full. Is this where I slide in and tell you what Iβm doing? F-factor. High protein, high fiber. You feel full longer. Yes I will take all the help I can get

I couldn't choose a favorite. LMK when we turn this into a thread where I start talking about my butter love. there's this Normandy butter i used to get from a bougie deli in London that was so yellow and had actual salt crystals i it, like it would melt into your warm bread and leave little bits of salt sitting on top. It was my everything

Do you know who the guy in that video is?Β He deadlifts like 4 times his bodyweight. somewhat.Β He's a personal trainer for this Gary Vee guy, a job Mike used to have before passing it on to Jordan.Β Do I need to start following Jordan in my obsession?Β Because I will! You do. Heβs hilarious and really common sense based. I love him.

Is this still the fitness thread? I was in a meeting all day. I think DS (1yo now) totally fucked my abs. I just started working out again. There is something funky going on with the area below my right rib cage. Almost like something is out of place a few times when I've bent wrong or strained that area. I don't know if dislocated ribs are a thing. (DH said no, but he has birthed zero babies.) And I'm 99% sure I can feel diastasis recti. I gave crunches the ol' college try the other day and holy ow. But anyhoo I just started Couch to 5K, which I've done before and love. We just got a treadmill because #endlesswinter, but I can't wait to run outside. And I just ordered a used copy of Tlex's ballet DVD, because I'm a lemming. I was on the fence until Cher said barre gave her visible abs, and LOL to finding a barre class in Bumfuck, so DVD it is. Visible abs this summer unless my innards are FUBAR.

I am stuffing my face with Girl Scout cookies so I'll just see myself out. I just typed a whole thing about my abs and running *while* eating Caramel Delites. Room for all at this table.

Bookshelves definitely get checked for DR by a physiotherapist (ideally one who specializes in women's health) before starting any exercise targeting your abs. Crunches are the literal worst thing you can do if you have it, so until you get the all clear you are banned! The barre/ballet type stuff should be good aside from the crunches because it's about bringing your core in and up and holding that, which is good.

This will sound dumb, but even though I have had the thought on the back burner the past several months, I wasn't sure where to start. I've never had an issue like this before. So I just did some Googling for physiotherapists and found a place in my area -- will call tomorrow! And no crunches in the meantime... if you insist.

Post partum physio changed my lyfe and I almost feel like everyone should go, just to see what's up. Pregnancy and birth are no joke on the body!
