1. How far along are you? EDD? 35 and some change. 5/8 2. How big is baby? Feels very large 3. Team Pink! 4. Symptoms Waddling, shortness of breath, back/hip pain, ginormous boobs 5. What/when is your next appointment? I go Tuesday for an ultrasound to check on my previa and my 36 week check up 6. Questions / concerns / rants I’m just so tired. We finally replaced our HVAC yesterday, so that’s one thing off my list. I’ve been solo parenting for 8 weeks now, on top of all our house/dog issues and working. I’m ready for a break that will never come. 7. GTKY: where was your favourite travel destination? We went to Jamaica last year! That’s the only vacation I’ve really been on. It was beautiful and relaxing. 8. Show us that bump! I feel like my belly is still huge compared to all of you guys. You are all so adorable.

1. How far along are you? EDD? 34 weeks today. EDD 5/18/18. 2. How big is baby? Box of Cookies, Butternut Squash, Basketball Hoop, Quokka. 3. Team: Blue 4. Symptoms: Sciatica, insomnia, headaches, hip pain, SPD, short temper/annoyed easily (which is driving me crazy). 5. What/when is your next appointment?: 36 week check up on 4/18. They are going to do an ultrasound to check positioning and the Group B swab. 6. Questions / concerns / rants: Just feeling suuuper pregnant and slightly panicking that we don't have that long left. My H and I both had a moment the other night of feeling like the baby is going to come early just because. So we got my hospital bag ready. He still needs to finish the windows and carpet in the nursery. Windows are almost done, carpet should be done this weekend. Then we have to put the crib together and all that stuff. My sprinkle is this Sunday so then I think I'll really be itching to get that nursery done and buy whatever we still need (I don't think it will be much) after that. H better get with the program and be ready to help! 7. GTKY: where was your favourite travel destination? I haven't traveled a lot, unfortunately. I've really only been around my home state (and not even that much), and to my mom's home state (Pennsylvania). I've always really wanted to do a big road trip around the country but 2 kiddos so...I don't know when that will sound fun again. I'd also love to go to Hawaii. I have family there and have never been. My mom's boyfriend owns beach front property in Guatemala and an estate in rural Ireland, I feel like those would both be cool too. Lot's of travel dreams, just no funds to make them happen! 8. Show us that bump! No make up today and a work bathroom selfie...but oh well!

1. How far along are you? EDD? 32weeks...c-section scheduled for May 10 at 37 weeks
2. How big is baby? Scooter board
3. Team: girl
4. Symptoms: BH, feels like baby is in my hip and almost constant heartburn
5. What/when is your next appointment? Had one yesterday, everything looked good.
6. Questions / concerns / rants: I had some spotting Wednesday all day after having (TMI) an orgasm Tuesday night. No penetration either. Luckily my doctor wasn't too concerned. He said just call if it's more than spotting and bright red.
7. GTKY: where was your favourite travel destination? Ireland and London
8. Show us that bump!

related to the GTKY, I'm trying to convince H that we should drive over to Quebec City for a long weekend in the fall. I've never been and would love to go, and I feel like it would be easier to go with a little baby then a toddler. Even if we took our time and had long leisurely stops it would only take us a day to drive there. Obviously this is our first, so I have no experience with how this would go. I do know that we'll have to be driving almost half that length to go visit ILs anyways. Whatcha guys think?

Speedy do it if you feel up to it! At first with DD I was reluctant to travel with her, but now she’s older I realize how much easier it would have been when she was a baby that couldn’t run away from us. Quebec is so beautiful and lots of easy walks and things to stop and enjoy. It sounds like a good option for a first trip with Baby if you are feeling up for it.

I loved traveling when DS was a baby.

We took V on several road trips in his first 3 months while we were both on break for the summer (his first at 5 weeks), and he did okay. This time around, we have plans to attend an outdoor concert a few hours away when I'm about a month PP, and several road trips planned for the summer. Be prepared to stop often if needed, both to feed the baby and take a break from the carseat. I also had to sit in back a few times to keep him calm when he wasn't sleeping. We never drove more than a few hours each day; I don't know how long your trip would be, but I would suggest breaking it up if it's more than several hours.

I took V everywhere in the first year; road trips, grocery store, shopping, etc. We even took him with us to Italy shortly after his first birthday and he did great, even on the super long flights. We still take him places now, but it requires significantly more mental fortitude, energy and patience than it used to. We can't even do a quick trip to Target without a 20 minute argument and possible meltdown about picking out a toy.

1. 28 + 2
2. Eggplant
3. Pink
4. I have major swelling in my legs and feet. Tired.
5. Thursday for a biophysical profile
6. I had to go to the ER yesterday because of swelling and elevated BP (checked at home) and when I got there my BP was fine. Urine was fine & bloodwork was fine. Since I have a history of pre-e, they sent me home to do a 24 hr urine test. So I turned that in today & it came back with elevated protein. My BP was still ok today. Dr doesn’t want to diagnose me with pre-e yet, but I have to go in Thursday for a biophysical profile to check on baby. I’m supposed to go back to the ER if I have swelling, headaches, vision changes, etc. DS was born at 33 weeks and I was already on hospital bed rest at this point with him. I’m just hoping this one stays put a little longer.
7. I enjoy the beach. So any beach is fine with me.

Laaaate 1. How far along are you? EDD? 34 2. How big is baby? Thursday he was estimated at 4lbs 7oz, which is 14th percentile so he barely made the cut off for letting him stay in a little longer. 3. Team Blue 4. Symptoms: everything hurts. Occasional headaches although they’ve gotten better recently in spite of the gestational hypertension which is good. LOTS of peeing and low belly cramping/pain when my bladder is even the least bit full. 5. What/when is your next appointment? I have twice weekly so Tuesday with OB and labs. I had protein in my urine (but not enough to get a pre-e dx) two weeks ago but nothing since. 6. Questions / concerns / rants Induction is scheduled for 4/27 and we just go day by day, hoping I make it that far. My BP keeps tending up so we just watch and wait. 7. GTKY: where was your favourite travel destination? I loathe traveling. So. Much. We did honeymoon in Hawaii and it’s a 6 hour total flight for us which isn’t awful. So that’s probably something we’d do again or potentially like a cruise somewhere. But I legit hate traveling so much. Like everything about it minus the hotel. I love hotels. 8. Show us that bump If I remember tomorrow I’ll post. I only have one from last week I think. Read more: howeverithappened.proboards.com/thread/14158/hdbd-check-april-4?page=1#ixzz5Bynh3ZoP

*Snip* It would be about 7 hours total driving time We took O to the beach when he was 10 weeks old and it's a 7ish hour trip with traffic. He did pretty well. We stopped twice and one time he had a giant blowout. Aside from that, the road trip was fine. He had an awful sleep regression while we were there but was fine for the travel.

I'd rather deal with stopping for diaper changes and feedings every once in a while than listening to begging for McDonalds and toy stores, etc. Plus when we would go on trips back when DS was a baby, he'd sleep nearly the entire time.

We'll be doing the same trip this year with the kids in August so she'll be 3+ months. O has always been pretty good in the car but becomes restless much faster than he used to. I have a feeling that this year will be a more stressful drive with both of them.

Traveling with my son has been the bane of my existence. I wish we did more when he was a baby but he hated his car seat. He is better now that I can play a movie on the iPad for him but anything more than 2.5-3 hours and he gets restless.
I hope to be able to do more this time around. I’d like to be able to go to my moms a few times, which is 3 hours away.

Late again this week!
1. How far along are you? EDD? 29w5d; 06/20
2. How big is baby? Barbie convertible, Care Bear
3. Team: Blue
4. Symptoms: heartburn, swelling, feeling huge, carpal tunnel
5. What/when is your next appointment? April 17th for a growth ultrasound since I was measuring large at last weeks appt; April 19th for regular OB appt
6. Questions / concerns / rants: I feel like we have nothing ready. DH wants to open the wall and insulate the wall between the hall & baby’s room but has done nothing thus far. In the scheme of things I guess the baby’s room doesn’t need to be done before he arrives since he’ll be in our room but it would be nice to be all done and ready before he arrives.
7. GTKY: where was your favourite travel destination? Maui. I hope we can get back there some day!!
8. Show us that bump!
