I’m sure I could. I’ll probably just give them to our DCP though. The money sucks, but she does so much extra for us that it would be a good “paying it forward” for all the moms that use her, since we all provide our own diapers. It’s more the fact that he has no clue what I buy or how I make those decisions. It’s part my fault and part his for not communicating, but he works 6 days a week and I just handle everything else. I’m just feeling the push to start a spreadsheet with all the brands/things before I potentially start a full time position. I also really hate the smell of baby powder. 🤢 post it's work for MH and phone notes. Truth be told MH doesn't even go to the store but maybe twice a year. Mine did most of the grocery shopping until DS was born. I was writing an MA thesis and needed alone time. He and DD would go to the store and she would get a snack while they meandered around. I still made the list, but let go of a lot of things, because it was a good time for all of us. Now that I’ve been mostly SAH for two years, I’m finding it’s harder to unclench.

So they are only in the playroom, which always has the door closed and there are no drains. So we checked the attic spaces that have doors into the playroom and the only other option is coming in through the windows, but that’s weird, right? Like why would they come in? It is weird No food cast away somewhere? We had a drain issue and they were congregating in the living room. Not sure why but our house is tiny so maybe the drain was close enough I’ve looked everywhere and he really doesn’t eat up there. It gets vacuumed over other week and we only use it a couple times per week. So weird.

@juliagulia Might be attic flies, also called cluster flies. They live outside & come in when it gets cold. They can make their home in walls, drop ceilings, window casings, electric outlets etc. I think it's treated with a dust & spray, but idk how that's work in a playroom. Look for dead flies to determine where they are hiding. Try a fly light to kill them or one of those ultrasonic devices. If that's what it is, you can google methods. FYI I have all the useless pest knowledge since we invest in property. A lot of the commercial buildings we've bought in town also had apartments above so that adds to pest issues. We've had to learn a lot. Thanks for the info. We’ve only seen them alive so far but there are a lot. Like 10 each time. I might just call in our pest people. They spray once a month, but outside. Ugh. Old house problems.

H bought DS some size 5t shorts. Our 6yo outgrew 5t over a year ago. 🤦🏼♀️ I assure you he has no idea what size they wear.

Ugh. Old house problems. I'd definitely call. I'd guess if you can't find dead ones means they just started coming in. Keep killing them until the pest people get there so they can't take up residence.

Are you sure they are flies and not drain moths? My link isn’t copying. But basically put draino down all your drains and let set overnight So they are only in the playroom, which always has the door closed and there are no drains. So we checked the attic spaces that have doors into the playroom and the only other option is coming in through the windows, but that’s weird, right? Like why would they come in? Could you have a dead rat in the attic/ceiling? Maybe they are rat flies.

shan-ah-doo - that’s ducking rad! I’m all up in my feels for you guys. My sister, who was told she would never read past a 3rd grade level is running a grooming business with three vans and four employees. (She’s deaf with some cognitive/social delays). My mom does some of the higher level management and they pay for a very good accountant, but day to day operations are all her. Praise the Internet age. She does everything through e-mail/texting. It has been amazing to see. That’s awesome. Hearing stuff like this gives me so much hope!
