Hi. Still off from work and still watching Star Wars. Spring needs to get here fast, or I might join the dark side.

Checking in from the pedicure chair. Have to skip the massage, it took way too long at the drivers license place. We had finished the process and she gave me my temporary to check and she hadn't removed that I require corrective lenses, so we had to do it again, which caused software issues, multiple phone calls to IT, finally left an hour and half later. Poor A wineallthetime. Whatever happened with that terrible nurse?

tgrimes I’d leave it. When I was reading it, it sounds like it was his idea, reached out to you, you said yes, and now your niece is in an awkward spot. Also, I dont think it’s late for an August wedding, if it were June it’d be a different story, but leave it to her to contact.

A had to get a new IV. It took them 2 tries and he screamed so hard. The worst! Poor A! IV’s are the worst! Sierra was a hard stick, and all the nurses wanted to be the “hero” who was successful on the hard stick. Well S got to where she’d blow through a vein every 36 - 48 hours and need a new IV. (Which was a whole other battle, they thought she was just being fussy when we knew something was wrong. We finally figured out her cry’s and could tell if it was more than fussy and have them check the line by flushing it). They would bring IV therapy in with an ultrasound machine and still miss several times. MH had to tell them enough was enough one day after they had stuck her 8 times. Then when she blew that line a few days later and the same lady showed up he refused to let her touch her. They brought in 2 NICU nurses who got it on the 1st try. After that we demanded a NICU nurse every time. Thankfully S is a pretty easy stick now. But babies are just tough. Especially teeny tiny ones like A!

Happy Birthday mwhip!! @tgrimes1980 I’m a planner and it would drive me nuts to have no info in that case. On the flip side. S is a flower girl in 2 weddings coming up. The first is her babysitter and in May. She has planned every minut detail and there is lots of communication. The other wedding is our nephews in June. We got a “save the date” that was hand written on a post it note and mailed (lol). They called to ask if S would be flower girl. And then said she can just wear whatever she wears in the wedding in May. And that’s it. They are soooo different. But the bride for the June wedding is seriously laid back and low key. So I think she truly is just going with the flow and letting things happen. But the lack of communication and planning is sending my OCD into overdrive. Lol.

lfig I'm just remembering my wedding and I had to order all the dresses in January for a June wedding, to make sure they'd arrive by April for alterations, etc. But I don't know her at all, so she could be very low key about everything.

My sister just broke my heart with a story involving my 10year old nephew. I’m going to share it but could definitely use a TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ proceed with caution.
My sisters FIL is in a rehabilitation facility. He has cancer and he has started having dementia problems as well. He has always been very involved in my sisters kids lives. So it’s been hard with him being sick and the kids not getting to see him much lately. So last night my sister took her 10 year old son C and one of her 8 year old twins K to visit. Her FIL hasn’t been eating much and has lost a lot of weight and while visiting C started crying. And when his gpa asked him what was wrong he said “I think your body is preparing to go to heaven because you haven’t been eating. And Grandma and Leo (their old dog) went to heaven after they quit eating. “. Ugh, the tears. My sister is now sooooo conflicted because she is worried about the kids seeing him like this and the affect it will have on them. But at the same time, she wants them to spend as much time with him as they can because they know the prognosis isn’t good. My heart aches for all of them.

Also, I dont think it’s late for an August wedding, if it were June it’d be a different story, but leave it to her to contact. I doubt it was his idea. Two of his other kids recently got married and there was no mention of it. Besides, the last time I spoke to him was in October after my dad's surgery and that was only because my dad called me by the wrong name and he asked to speak to me. He thought I was one of his other sisters. Before that I talked to him in 2001... I'm not really looking forward to this wedding because it will probably be awkward AF. The only reason my sister and I are attending is because it's so close and it will probably the only time we all see each other. It will surprise no one that my mother is already talking about how this will be the first time all my dad's children will be in the same room and it's always been a dream of hers... {Spoiler} SHE DOESN'T EVEN LIKE THEM AND TALKS SHIT ABOUT THEM ALL THE TIME! SO WHY DOES SHE CARE!

Also, Hi! This is the first I’ve been able to check in today. I went to the office and only lasted an hour. I was in too much pain. So I came home and took a pain pill and passed out for a while. Now I’m working from my bed. Trying to do some hiring but people don’t return phone calls so it’s been difficult!
My parents are watching S today since MH is gone for work. They are not as spry and “on it” as I wish they were but I’m trying to let it go. S got a hold of a diffuser with some lavender in it and dumped it. Do you know what happens to two drops of oil mixed with water in a diffuser when dumped.....a BIG GREASY MESS! Thankfully my cleaning lady comes tomorrow! Because our clean up efforts are not very successful. And the smell!! The lavender is strong!

Anyhow, hi. It's been a slow day and a snow day, though it's decently warm and sunny now. I think we're heading down to my ILs tonight because my BIL is in town and we haven't seen him in ages (he works for the government in security and is MIA for weeks at a time, plus he's based out of DC). I'm not really opposed to going - I've always liked him and he's great with the boys - but DH really prioritizes getting the boys time with his family even when it's inconvenient. More often than not, I end up taking the boys to see my family solo because he's thinks they can wait another xx weeks/a month/etc. My parents drive me nuts, they do, but they're family. Sigh...
I'm also just dreading this because seeing my FIL in his current state is depressing, TBH. He's tired and grumpy, he even snapped at Colin and made him cry yesterday (they were both overreacting). Hopefully having my BIL up will at least cheer up my MIL.

Well according to school reports E is currently that kid in class. He didn't get to go to an egg hunt over the weekend. He lost privileges to go to a party next weekend. 2 more parties to earn. I'm really hoping this is related to being stuck inside for too long and nice spring weather will fix things.

I drove the kids 25 minutes to gymnastics only to find out there is no gymnastics tonight. It is that school district’s spring break which i didn’t realize. I wish they would have sent a reminder email for the families out of district! Now we’re back home. dh is at a meeting and I’m counting down the minutes until bedtime.
