I didnt read the thread yet, B doesn’t nap at school according to her teachers. She rarely naps on weekends unless we go on car ride that is more than 45min.

S will still fall asleep on a car ride if he's tired. It's funny cuz the baby doesn't sleep in the car at all unless it's really late or he's excessively tired. But S will always fall asleep. However, it's been over a year since he napped at home. I'm told he still naps about half the time at school but I'm not sure I believe it.

M still naps at school. His teacher said he is one of the first ones to fall asleep. No naps at home. He will fall asleep in the car if it’s late in the afternoon or evening. We usually give him something to do in the car that will keep him from falling asleep if we don’t want him to nap. No nap makes bedtime a little more easy.

N naps the 4 days she is at daycare but now they wake her up after 45 minutes because it was keeping her up at night. At home, she’s about 50/50 on naps. Sometimes she’ll sleep 2 hours, sometimes not at all.

Maggie hasn't napped at school in at least a year. She regularly napped at home for 90 minutes to 2 hours until probably 6 months ago. I've been in denial that she dropped her nap, but we still make her lay down and be quiet for 20 minutes. If she doesn't fall asleep (which she does every once in a while), she's allowed to get up after and watch TV or use her tablet, but she can't play.
Also, hi.

Hello! I've missed you guys, too. I just never seem to have time to be here. Things are ok. I'm working from home 3 days a week and 2 days in the office. It's a nice balance. The kids are great, if challenging. I feel like I'm never a good enough mom to them and that's why they act like assholes at home (but both get glowing reports from school), but I keep plugging along. When they aren't being assholes, they bring me so much joy. They really are so sweet and funny. Benjamin gives the best kisses, and Maggie is so "grown" it cracks me up. She's started saying "ya" for "you" - like, "I told ya!" or "Here, I'll show ya!" Or she'll tease - "Did you just take my spot, you sneaky girl?" Also, kellykinns is back in Virginia, so that is amazing! How are you and your family?

Hi sing2phins! I've missed you. And no worries, most kids save all their asshole behavior for their parents. At least that's what I tell myself...

My mom always told me kids (and adults) will often behave the worst around people who love them unconditionally, because they know that even when they’re are their worst behaviour they’ll love them, they’ll be there for them and they’ll never leave them.

This is what I tell myself. So really, it means I'm a GREAT mom, right? The bigger the asshole kid, the better the mom. That's how it works, right?

I hope he is doing well. I love seeing his face on FB, with your bigs grinning like crazy because they love him so much.

Good to hear that things are well sing2phins, and yes I totally agree with wineallthetime, kids are A+ jerks around parents. They are such a gift

He's the sweetest little thing. He hasn't gotten the asshole behavior just yet. Well, other than his being born at 31 weeks, that was not great behavior.
