Good morning!
Faith woke up last night at 10:00 to eat and threw off our "schedule" of eating around midnight and going to bed. She had, then cried and was asleep around 11:30 and I was sure she would be up between 1-2 to eat again but I was wrong! She didn't wake up until a few minutes before 5:00!!! I was shocked! She went back to sleep after eating and woke up again a little before 8 and I nursed her and DH just finished giving her 2 ounces.
We are going to try to take her to see the Easter bunny today if I can slip away from my desk for a little bit. It shouldn't be an issue since I still don't have that much work to do and certainly nothing so urgent that if it takes an extra hour or so to get to it I would be in trouble.

Baby slept 11 hours again last night which is just freaking fantastic. My other three didn’t sleep that long until at least 10 months, and even then it was only on occasion.
The only downside is now she’s been awake and needing to nurse during the morning rush completely losing my shit. I’m on my own at 7am most days so it’s up to me to do breakfasts, get cold lunches packed, everybody ready and off to school. Add in a 25 minute nursing session and a baby in my arms and it all goes to hell. I need to figure out how to be better prepped in the morning.

That’s so awesome ajetter!! Mine have always been way older before that long as well. I hope she keeps it up! DS has speech this afternoon, and during that exact time there’s an Easter craft happening at the grocery store, so I think I’ll drop him off and take the girls to the store. DD1 doesn’t get to do a lot of things like that on her own so hopefully she enjoys the special time out! And then this is H’s last day before Spring Break! Whoop whoop!! So it feels like Friday here. Have a good one!

I still feel like crap. I feel like it could be the flu but h thinks there’s no way and that it’s juat a crappy cold. Of course DS1 doesn’t have school the next 2 days so I have him too.
On good news, I’ve been able to successfully nurse the baby 4 times since his tongue tie was clipped.

It has been a long and bad flu season and it isn't over yet.

Since I picked it up from him and I’m not exhausted he says it’s just a shitty cold.

And just because he didn't feel bad for more than 24 hours doesn't mean he DIDN'T have the flu... I'm pretty sure it affects everyone differently.

kbw glad you’ve been able to nurse! aprilz81 I purposefully wake my babe to feed her around 9:30/10. I did this with my boys too for the first few months until they refused to nurse then and still slept until a time I deemed reasonable consistently. Sometimes this works wonders (10pm - 5/6/7) and other times she wakes up and his hard to get down but it usually means only 1 wake up.

Last night was bad for us again. I woke up so groggy I basically started crying when my H left for work. Sometimes he can be really great but other times so frustrating and useless as a parent so I'm not really sure why I was upset he was leaving. Last night was another one of those nights where he was more of the latter.
Thankfully DD1 is playing really nicely on her own. I got wash folded and one of my hw assignments done. Working on more hw while O is napping to try to get a little ahead at school.

Good morning! I have been a busy bee today. I slept about 5 straight hours and I have been up since 3:30 which is better than the previous three nights. Since I have been so exhausted, I have been slacking on house work. I am on my third load of laundry, I filled my diaper organizer that’s in the living room, put away some clothes and cleaned up from breakfast. Now I am waiting for G to get home. Then it will be hanging out for a bit, lunch and nap.

Sometimes this works wonders (10pm - 5/6/7) and other times she wakes up and his hard to get down but it usually means only 1 wake up. She had been eating around 8:30-9:30 and mostly waking herself up (sometimes I woke her up) around midnight to eat and then we all go to bed together after that feeding. She would then sleep 3-4 hours before waking up again. The last week or so it has been more like 4-5 hours so I was convinced it would mean a night full of extra wake ups but I was wrong!

ajetter honestly J has been sleeping consistently through the night for a long time now but I actually wake her at 5 or so to nurse (good for my boobs and buys me 3 hours of her sleeping) and then I shower and prep for daycare before my big girls wake up. Then I am able to have them dropped off by 8 and I nurse J immediately after drop off. The waking up part sucks but I actually really treasure those quiet hours all alone (DH leaves for work at 5:30) so as long as I am disciplined about not staying up too late I don't mind. I don't set an alarm or anything either, that's usually just when my boobs wake me up haha.

peachesncream I’ve actually been getting up at 5am to workout. So I’m already up then. I’m just trying to squeeze far too much into my morning. I’ve toyed with waking her, but I’d rather her just sleep rather than screw with a good thing. Mostly because I’ve never had a sleeper and I want to embrace it!

If that's the case then prep the night before is key! When I start classes (and actually have to be somewhere in the mornings) this will be DH's job. He packs the diaper bag and all lunches for me :-)

When my third was born she never slept so he took on breakfast and lunch making before he left because I was trying to squeeze out every possible second of sleep. Since I’m sleeping I guess he doesn’t feel it’s necessary. Just got to get into the habit of night prep though, you’re right!

I never was able to master that, well I never even tried. But i know lots of moms who were able to nurse their kid in their carrier

I just put the baby in his crib to nap for the first time. Usually all naps are in the rnp in the living room. I want him to get used to the crib for naps for when he is down to just two naps a day. He was awake when I laid him down. I may have to peek up there to see if he is sleeping yet. He is quiet.

We also had a fantastic night sleep (8-630, then up for the day at 845)... I’m shocked she slept so well being congested and sick again. We made it out the door to run a couple errands and both girls were very well behaved... except for a few min in the car with H lost her shit because she was tired and couldn’t fall asleep, cue me pulling over to nurse her in the front seat of my car. But other than that she was an angel. I bought DD1 some DT toys when we were at target and now she’s playing happily by herself 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Nap time is approaching and I will fit in a workout and some gossip girl 👍🏻

I actually nursed O in my Lille a couple weeks ago at Whole Foods.. It's just harder now because you need to still support their head

Hi guys! Glad to hear sleep is getting better for a lot of you. LO is only waking up once for me these days which is awesome.
Work is going well but it's a challenge to find time for pumping. I schedule it on my calendar and still it's tough. And pumping is just generally not fun. I have only been pumping for 10 min 3 times a day at work and that gives more than LO needs for the weekdays.
Question. How many ounces of breast milk are your LOs drinking for each feeding if you give them a bottle. Mine wants 3oz every 2 hours.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Fill in nanny called in sick this morning but luckily our old sitter could pick up the girls at school and keep them this afternoon. I actually sent her a text yesterday to as her the chances of her having a spot open so she could keep both girls beginning next fall and she is actually going to reach out to the lady whose daughter only goes to her part time now to ask her plans. She thinks that she may actually not need care starting after school gets out in May so fingers crossed that happens and we can just start going to her again.
Baby was up at midnight and 4 again last night so this seems to be our new routine. Better than every two hours I guess! We were spoiled with DD1 who started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. I can live with twice a night though.

L is going on 3 hour nap in his car seat (I ran a bunch of errands) 😳 I am going to wake him in a few to avoid meltdown when picking up M. Thankfully H is off tomorrow, Fx L will corporate and let me sleep in.

Ugh now I have a fever so I’m leaning towards flu. I’m mad at H because I asked him a)to get tested to see if he had the flu and b) b/c he refused to get flu shot n/chesnever had the flu (I can’t get one due to underlying conditions).
I feel so bad for DS1 because we had the stomach bug for valentines es day and this crud forEaster.
