Ok, TTMA hemorrhoids. I know there are things you can use to help them feel better, but is there anything you can do to make them go away? Other than not straining and upping fiber and such? Please tell me there is something magic I can buy at the drug store. Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels so there’s nothing really to make them go away, they’re always there but they only bother you when swollen. When I worked at the surgeon’s office they recommended anusol, but I don’t know if that’s OTC. Preparation H is otc and may help. Witch hazel pads will help soothe the area.

Once again I would like to state how much I hate this stupid tapa update. I’m currently sitting outside H’s school for a few minutes before I have to go in to help.

I have the new Roseanne on PVR and have been avoiding watching it because all I hear/read is that it's politics talk. If it's true I'm gonne be bummed out, I dont want my nightly TV to sound like a news segment.

Oh another though on sandals! Teva sandals, incredible sturdy, can get wet, adjustable straps and great for outdoorsy stuff. When we where kids we used to walk riverbeds with them. I don't like the way they look.

The producers said to give the show 3-4 episodes before making a judgment call.

IDK but my heartburn was OOC so I'm not surprised! @winealthetime if they get really bad, you can get surgery. But like vino said, for the common ones, I think it's just treating the symptoms. I hear sitting in a sitz bath is nice but haven't tried it. I keep Tuck's pads and Dermoplast on hand, JIC. wedding had a couple recommendations for products, maybe it was in Friday's thread?

inthekitty no meeting planned with the boys yet but I'll ask the NICU nurses about it soon. They want me there in about 30 minutes to try a little skin to skin. I can't wait!

I would love there to be 15 minutes in a day where I could sit in a bath, even if it's for my rear end.

wineallthetime I would ask your OB for hydrocortisone suppositories. Preparation H makes some too but they have never worked for me. For a soothing ointment I recommend Calmoseptine ointment. Found at the drug store. It’s used for burns too so it may not be in with butt stuff. Also the witch hazel and doing some sitz baths can help (basically submerge your butt in warm water a few times a day but definitely after a BM) I can’t believe I am the resident ass expert😬

tgrimes C can’t wear Natives, Crocs or any other plasticky ones. His skin is too sensitive and the sweat with the rubber/plastic really irritates. I figured I’d mention that since the fair skinned are often more sensitive.

I guess this is an unpopular opinion, but I do not like taking a bath. I generally dont either, but I know that relief that comes if I do, for hemis and birth recovery. The sitz baths that I took before my showers everyday after delivering were an absolute life saver in managing my vag pain. Other than that, I find they waste a lot of water, my fingers and toes get crinkly, cold too quickly, I am either falling down in my too big of tub or feel ridiculous in a smaller tub, it's all very awkward for me and not at all relaxing.

I was just lurking in the GD UO and the no shoes discussion came up; I find it absolutely fascinating that people wear shoes in their house, it is so weird to me and I would never do it and feel comfortable, in my house or someone elses.

Please send your thoughts and prayers. Remember I mentioned we plan to redo our flooring this summer? My husband just called from Costco and found laminate floors he thinks I'll like and is going to buy a ton and attempt installation himself.

Oh.my.goodness. She is PERFECT, cagoldi! Gorgeous! And that hair! wineallthetime, my OB gave me a prescription steroid cream. It was magic. Pure magic. I couldn't sit without crying at the end of my last pregnancy, and that stuff gave me a new lease on life.

I love baths and take at least one a week. I either let DH take care of bedtime or do it after the kids are in bed. It helps me to relax and was very helpful from mid pregnancy till the end for back pain.

I didn’t have a bath during both pregnancies, I’m so looking forward to being able to take a bath if we ever decide on a third!

No to shoes in the house and to baths. I can think of eleventy things I'd rather do with a bit of free time than sit in a tub while the water gets cold. Besides, doors don't keep the boys away!!
