I do!! I definitely had too many drinks and too much food over the weekend.
I am 6 weeks post partum today and in my head I was giving myself the first 6 weeks to pretty much eat what I wanted. Now I really need to focus on my food and start eating better meals, and less calories of course! I have a tear that is still not healed from delivery so I can't do too much in the way of working out yet, so I really want to make sure my eating is on track.

I'm in a good groove with workouts. The thing I need to work on is the JELLY BEANS. I made a yummy soup on Saturday: saffron chicken soup with chick peas and spinach. We are working on saving money which means less take out, so of course that is good for more healthy food choices. I ran 2.5 yesterday pushing the toddler in the BOB. A friend drove by me and then texted how great she thought I looked, which made my day. I still have at least 25 lbs to go but my weight is creeping down. I have to remember it took 40 weeks to put on so it is ok if it takes that long to come off...as long as I keep going in the right direction, all is good! And I am up to day 3 of True (Adriene's most recent yoga program). It makes me feel so good! I will either take today off of workouts or do day 4.

Me! I have been working on eating all the bad food in my house so that I'm not tempted (that's how this works, right?).
So as of this morning I have no pancake mix, syrup, ice cream, or chips.
Hoping to get 3-4 workouts in this week.
I'm back to wearing regular jeans most of the time but they are my size 10s. I want to be back in my 8s by memorial day.
H has been doing a workout challenge at the gym and he lost 23 lbs in 8 weeks and he looks great. I want to look better than him when we open the pool!

Sorry to hear about the tear, pinkcat. Did the doc give any idea of how much longer s/he thought you might need for it to heal?

benandjerrys, that is awesome you are only one size off of the jeans you want to be in! I went to an upscale second hand shopping sale on Friday and I was so annoyed b/c there were all these awesome clothes in my "old" size but I just couldn't buy them since I'm still at least 3 sizes away from that still.

Sorry to hear about the tear, pinkcat . Did the doc give any idea of how much longer s/he thought you might need for it to heal? Thank you! I actually have an appointment this morning for her to check on it again. At 4 weeks she thought it would be healed by now, but it's gotten worse unfortunately. I am hoping it's not too much longer- I can't wait to get outside and start running again!

Here's my meal plan for the week: M-"light" shrimp scampi and raw veggies w/ hummus T-lentil soup w/ bread W-leftovers Th-flatbread pizzas...I'm dairy free but I may try goat cheese and see how that goes F-Mongolian chicken, rice and quick pickled cukes and carrots
Still pretty carb heavy, we are really into bread and rice...we do at least choose whole grain breads and brown rice, which helps. I might try cauliflower rice on Friday though!

None of my clothes fit so I tried on some new stuff on the weekend. I couldn’t bring myself to buy the size 12 pants. I’ll just have to live in my leggings for awhile when I go back to work. I’m most comfortable in a size 8 but was a size 10 when I got pregnant. Going to keep working away at it. But, yoga starts tonight and I made the Skinnytaste cauliflower Arancini balls (without the sausage) last night, which were delicious. www.skinnytaste.com/cauliflower-rice-arancini-balls/

Definitely crashed hard off the healthy food wagon this weekend. First there were leftover birthday treats, and then I cleaned out the pantry. And ate random crap the whole time I was doing it. Fail. But I started my morning off with some scrambled eggs, honeydew, and a Core De Force video. And drinking tons of water.

I always struggle with weekends! Not so much food but I like beer and the calories with that are high so 🤷🏼♀️
I’m scared for next weekend. It’s a 4day weekend plus DS1’s bday party Saturday, Easter dinner Sunday, and then His actual bday dinner Monday. Not to mention the copious amounts of chocolate that’s bound to appear
I’ve adjusted my macros this week to see if it will get me out of this plateau. I’m going to lower my fat and up the protein and carbs. FX it’s better. I also want out of my size 10’s!!

I wasn’t good this weekend. Well, mostly just yesterday since it was my birthday. We went out for breakfast AND dinner and I had 2 drinks. I didn’t exercise at all this weekend and unfortunately probably won’t get to today either since H is being suuuuper needy from her shots this morning. I got an Apple Watch for my birthday and was excited to try it for a workout. Oh well.
I need to get going on a meal plan for this week though... I’ll be back to share once I find some inspiration

Yes me!! I just started a new workout program last week & im trying to stay committed. I gained 60 lbs w S and lost 30 the first few weeks but hadn’t lost any since then. After focusing in on my diet & new workouts I lost 4 lbs last week & 8” all over. It’s an 80 day workout program so I’m excited to see what happens! Feeling a lot stronger this week after feeling pathetic last week lol.
I am a great meal planner (like it’s easy for me & I can stick to it) but I’m boring (eat the same thing every day). H hates it lol.
Anyway I am so far away from my pre-preg clothes it’s scary. Still wearing my maternity pants & leggings. Some of my bigger t shirts are starting to fit again but for the most part I’m oretty limited. That’s the part that makes me discouraged even though I’m seeing results from working out & eating. I know t will take time but I’m impatient!

dragonflyinn i totally feel you on the clothing stuff. It is so frustrating feeling better and knowing that it’s coming off but still not fitting in most stuff. Trying on clothes for my birthday dinner date last night was not fun 😑 I went through a lotttt of shirts that I thought would fit but definitely didn’t. Ugh. Soon enough!!

Here amesie! It's an IP recipe. Very easy. I do halve the sugar and the soy sauce. My DH works with a lady from Mongolia and we always joke about asking her about it b/c probably it is a very Americanized version of some dish. Although DH says his mom (who is from Korea) made something very similar when he was younger.

I wasn’t too bad this weekend because MH was/is out of town, but I did drink a lot of wine oops.
I’m down 8 lbs since starting my Diet Bet a month ago! I have about 13 to go. I still can’t fit into my jeans and some dresses. MH is in a wedding April 21 and I really really realllly don’t want to have to go buy a dress in a bigger size.

Yes!! Loving it soooo much!! I thought the timed eating would be tough to stay on top of but it has been so easy & really good for nursing bc I was forgetting to eat anyway. So now I have a white board with exactly when I need to eat & what (within reason).

And I knew I didn’t have all the tools (discs and bands). Can’t wait to hear how you are liking it the further in you get!

What is your go-to “I thought I’d have time to make real food but my kids are insane” meal? Right now it’s always Mac and cheese, so I’d like to have a healthier option for those nights when you are running around between crying kids and the kitchen.

We are trying cauliflower rice with our meal tonight for the first time... What did you think? I roast mine in the oven and just have to think of it as a ‘sauce vehicle’. Not rice. It doesn’t taste like rice. But I do like it with meals!
