45 not happy with the bill. He wants to reform. Rid of filibuster and line item veto. If that’s constitutional Raj is not up on that But we already know it's not constitutional... So, really people. If you say it’s legal loud enough and often enough...that’s how this works, right?

@heartbot , that is all very WTF! It's really concerning. It constitutes a huge rollback of post-2008 recession regulations and puts us at risk of another financial industry crisis. DNW to live through that again. And the Democrat support is totally baffling. Why on earth, when our best messaging going into the mid-terms, is about Republicans' tax giveaway to the wealthy & whittling away at healthcare access, would we sign up for massive bank deregulation? I think the argument in favor is that the bill is good for credit unions and other small community banks. Even if that's true it's not worth it, to me.

I’m going to pretend that shadesofgold named her baby just for me. Since that has always been our boy name and I’ll never get to use it. Somebody should! Totally did. Thanks everyone!

I think the argument in favor is that the bill is good for credit unions and other small community banks. Even if that's true it's not worth it, to me. From what our mortgage originator was telling us this weekend, small hometown banks and credit unions aren’t subjected to all the oversight placed on big banks. There’s some, like PMI required for loans with 10% or less down and not going past the magic 43% debt to income ratio, but not all of the newer regulations apply to them. I wonder if the rollbacks are to encourage the banks to give out more mortgages to counteract less buyers due to the higher interest rates. Let’s face it, they’ve jumped a full percent since 6 months ago, and there’s rumors that’ll be 5.5-6% on mortgages by the end of the year. If it’s not specifically for that, it could be to get them to make more risky credit loans on other items to help keep the economy going because, frankly, if we didn’t need to buy a house (can’t find anything to rent in our size and price range), the climbing interest is enough to deter us (I’m not exactly fiscally conservative..)

Sen warner is super defensive of the banking bill. Or he was last week on psa. Paul Ryan is only gonna resign if forced. IMO Of course 45 wants porter back.

Is that good or bad? All I really know about Scalise is that even getting shot didn't change his opinion on gun reform.

Does anyone know if the MSD students that are the main core were in the same group of friends before the shooting? I was just curious.

At first it was Belvoir and McNair. They had a GPS and a fuse and black powder. Now they are at other bases, including ours.

Also, if Ryan truly resigns I’m assuming he’s planning to run for higher office in the future and wants to wash his hands of the Trump mess.
