Betweenthelines that’s a meal I’ve never tried and wanted to. My mom is making a turkey though so I’ll just head over for that. I did not sleep last night. TGIT though!! I've never made leg of lamb either. I read it's one of the easier dishes to make, so why not give it a shot.

My mom is going to FL on Saturday, so my parents won't be home for Easter. The only way my mom was going to go to FL was if I promised her that my brother would spend Easter with us so he isn't alone.. Dude said he doesn't know if he's coming. Now what, mom? Tie him up and kidnap him? She's all bent over it.. Also the ILs are going to h's grandmas, but they're doing take out with the whole loud-ass family.. H's surgery got us out of doing that so we were both internally happy we got out of that one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

P is doing her last trial day in her new room at daycare today. I only have the schedule for her current room, so I did not know it was pajama day. Also, I can see that they are having a special class breakfast. I have no idea if I was supposed to contribute something (I didn't), but I see that there are breakfast sausages and bacon involved. I don't think the teachers in the new class know we're veg. (Well, I'm pretty sure they don't because I can see a sausage on her plate in a pic they sent.) Oh well. Mom fail today.

coconutbacon, i chalk that up to daycare fail. As a new student in that classroom, they should have kept you appraised of what was going on. And they should be checking with the other teachers for any dietary notes. You can call daycare and ask them to remove the meat.

And they should be checking with the other teachers for any dietary notes. You can call daycare and ask them to remove the meat. Yeah, you're probably right. An administrator left recently and they still haven't replaced her, and it's been a little disorganized. I feel bad because I know they are leaning on the teachers to do extra admin work until they fill the spot. I thought about calling daycare about the meat, but I am guessing it would have been too late– usually they upload pics to the app after an activity is completed. I could see that P had eaten all of her waffle and it looked like some fruit, and the meat was still on her plate, untouched, so I think she probably wasn't interested in it anyway. Plus, after seeing the reaction here about the Poppy - Penelope name thing, and mentioning it to a couple parents IRL (who also use that daycare), I think I am going to say something about that. Apparently they are sort of misinterpreting a rule they have about not using nicknames for kids– they aren't supposed to just invent a nn for a kid. Like if there's a Matthew, they shouldn't automatically call him Matt, because that might not be what the parents want him to be called. But if it's the parents who use the nickname, there shouldn't be an issue. I just don't want to be "that parent" who is complaining to them about everything.

coconutbacon, i get it. i have no problem being "that parent" lol. although i try to not complain about a lot. I would definitely tell them you prefer her to be called Poppy as that's what she goes by.

I’ve had a busy few days with no time to breathe. I’ve been leaving the house around 7:30 and not getting home until 5 or 6, I’m exhausted- It takes so long to do anything with the kids lately, so even though we’re at all day, nothing seems to be getting done. We’re also in the middle of potty training Worm... she does great when she’s naked, but with underwear or a pull up, not so much.
Today however is a new day- I was showered and both kids were bathed before 9 am! The next week and a half is going to be pretty busy, so I’m hoping to get stuff done today and tomorrow. I need to clean all the things and get ready for my sister’s visit next week! I’m so excited she’s coming. I haven’t seen her since last January when A and I went out to Chicago to visit her and she hadn’t met J yet.

Eggs in ip so we can color later, laundry going, cardio extreme done. I am stinky and dripping sweat. I can't wash my hair either since I just had it colored last night. Massage at 10.
So far, I am enjoying my good Friday.

Struggling so hard today. There is so much going on that I'll get into later when I have more time. I'm just so overwhelmed and trying not to panic about adding a newborn to the mass.

TGIF! I am so tired today— more coffee please! Excited for the weekend to get here. We’re going to dye eggs and go to an egg hunt/ spring party at the park on Saturday. They’ll also have face painting and other activities. On Sunday my parents are coming in and we’ll go out for lunch. I think I’ll make a dessert for us though. Trying to decide on what to make.

RunsforWineandCarbs, I just saw that the Pulse shooter's wife was acquitted. I don't envy the jurors for that case. Thinking of you because I know it's close to home for you, and you were being considered for the jury.

Does anyone here have a tried and true recipe for stuffed cabbage? No one can seem to find the recipe in the family (or traveled for Easter and isn't home to get it). Looking at a million different ones on the interwebs isn't helping.

Looking at a million different ones on the interwebs isn't helping. MH has a recipe he uses that he has made for holidays. (He makes a veg version for me and meat for everyone else.) I'll see if he can find it tonight and I'll post, if that's not too late for you.

So let me update you all on my life.
H has been having some health issues lately. About 6 weeks ago, we thought he had a sinus infection. He was having body aches and with this weather + a toddler in daycare, we all have had colds or sinus issues most of the winter. He was also having some heart palpitations that freaked him out. His doctor wouldn't give him antibiotics because of the heart stuff but did do an EKG and everything was fine. Doc ordered blood work and referred him to a cardiologist. The cardiologist gave him a heart monitor but he hasn't had an episode since and was able to send it back this week. The body aches have not stopped. He's had them for about 6 weeks off and on. Some days worse than others. Well he got a call two days ago that the blood work came back and his ANA was positive. This most likely means an autoimmune disease and he is being referred to a rheumatologist. He goes to his regular doctor today to get the referral and to find out more.
I am so stressed about this. I know that autoimmune diseases can be controlled but MH will not handle this well. He is already depressed because of his brothers dying and his mom having breast cancer last year (she is in remission now). Also, I just hate that he is in pain every day. I also hate what this could mean for us as a family in the future. I am stressed about the extra work that will be put on me when he is having bad days and is really sore (like yesterday, he came right home from work and went to bed). I feel like I am barely able to get anything done and we are going to be adding a newborn in a few weeks.
Any good thoughts or prayers you could send for a positive diagnosis would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the novel <3

I also feel like a petty bitch for making it all about me and my stress. It really does affect you though. Give yourself some leeway, especially being so pregnant. It's hard!! I say this as someone with a few autoimmune dx, there are ways to improve it, but it can be really hard on the partner. I think it's very reasonable for the stress it's causing you to be a factor too. Take care of yourself!

Hugs and all the good thoughts for you Pizzaslut. I think it's very understandable to feel the way you do about everything. I hope they can figure out what's going on with him and get a treatment plan that helps.

I also feel like a petty bitch for making it all about me and my stress. Ggiirrrlllll... Please PM me if you ever need to vent. I have been in this boat for months with hs health, and caring for house and both kids. I know exactly how you feel. It's mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting to do it all and try to save face and look like you're handling it all, and I give you so much credit for keeping it together while eleventy months pregnant. I hope he gets some answers and figures out a plan to manage it, but know that you're more than welcome to bitch and moan to me if you need it.
