O started telling me at night while we are laying In his bed that he can see "pretty lights" in his room. They come and go apparently. His room is always dark when he is pointing them out to me. !!! This happened with Madison a few months ago. We were having a lot more activity than usual. We went down to my parents' house and I was putting her to bed when she got excited about the "lights" shooting around the room. I was like "what are you talking about?" And she insisted that there were lights floating down from the ceiling and over to the wall. She tried to grab them. She was completely serious and I saw nothing.

M was freaking me out the other night when I was putting her to bed. She kept saying, "MOmmy, look behind you. Look behind you!" and was smiling while she was saying it. WTF kid?

My mom said I had an imaginary friend when I was little. I have no recollection of it though.

N talks about ghosts all the time. Much less recently but it was a weekly occurrence for a long time. I know I had multiple imaginary friends growing up so I sometimes wonder since he's growing up in the same house if they're the same friends plus others.

Jeeeez on the one day I have back to back meetings you guys are active during work hours 😉! Re: men that age well: mark ruffalo, watch begin again on Netflix... Re: prosecco i usually buy an okay one for around 5 or a very good one for 9. I'm lucky, I know. Re: our house is 131 years old, never had ghosts bother us, but that might has to do with the fact that I don't really believe in them, although all your creepy stories are making me wonder 🤔. snoopmommymom I'm sorry for your sleepless nights, ds was also around 18-20 months when he started sleeping through the night, it sucks big time! wedding sorry you're not feeling well. Could your nausea be a result of the anaesthesia? My sister stayed nauseous for weeks after her knee surgery... Sorry if I missed anyone/thing! ETA saw you're love tit; peachsmama sorry you're still dealing with family drama, ugh!

I do have a creepy story my parents told me, about when I was a kid. My parents like to visit historic buildings on vacation, including churches. When I was 3, we visited one of those old churches with a graveyard in front of it in France. Supposedly I stood still in front of one of the graves, called my mom and said 'oh mommy, 7 kids, that is so sad'. It was a family grave of seven children that died in a fire....

Along the same lines of imaginary friends: I remember feeling like I could talk to animals. I would tell my dad repeatedly that I could and he of course would tell me I was making it up. I remember a very deep sadness when a fish we had died. Like I had lost a friend. I don't know. I still think of it time to time.

Cadence tells me the cats can't talk. I'll say "oh, the cat says he's hungry" when he is crying and she'll tell me, "Mom, cats can't talk. We THINK he is hungry."

snoopmommymom , N only started sleeping through the night around 2? Before that we maybe had a max of 10 nights or so that he slept more then 6 hours straight. Is it just that she wants you near her? Is it an option to have her crib in your room or a toddler bed? That's what we resorted to. Whatever gets you sleep is the best option in my experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oh god I really don't want to wait until age two. I tried to put her in bed with me but she didn't want to be there and continued to cry. MH is out of town but when he gets back I'll try sleeping on an air mattress in her room to see if that helps. I was watching her on the monitor and she was just sitting there looking out of her crib crying. Occasionally standing as well. I heard her say "no" a couple of times. I think I'm going to try everything tonight. Motrin, lighting, noise, temperature, and maybe even try out the lavender essential oil.

N has an extensive vocabulary so as far as swearing and inappropriate language goes he has dropped his far share. klong11 's story reminded me of one with N - my FIL was holding up his fingers and saying an incorrect number to N (3 fingers is 7 etc.) after three or four times of N correcting him he turned, looked him straight in the face and said "Poppy, you're an idiot." MIL uses that word a lot so it didn't surprise me but couldn't help but laugh when they told me the story. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

snoopmommymom my only other thing I can think of from N is to make sure her light isn't casting any shadows that might scare her or create any sort of illusion of someone being there. I had to move Ns around his room for awhile to find the right spot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry to sound like a skeptic but could it be like when you stare at a light and then see spots? I thought of that too, but the overhead light wasn't even on. There was only a low-lit lamp on in the room. Also the "trails" didn't appear where she was looking. She turned her head to follow them and described them as suddenly leaving. She was trying to grab at them on the wall. She basically described to me the scene from Poltergeist with the orbs on the staircase.

Just so everyone is in the loop, the poll to vote for HBIC and admins (of whatever board will be the final one - that has not been decided yet) will open at noon eastern today. It's a third-party voting site, so if you aren't registered on the politics forum, there's no need to do so. My understanding is that the vote will be open for at least 24 hours. The link will be pinned on this site as well as on politics. Thanks, boo. I just landed and was coming here to make sure everyone knew.
