I woke up with my first post partum period. Ugh I didn’t even get to 6 weeks. We’ve already done swim lessons and I need to go grocery shopping/ Easter shopping at some point.

DH has his first double shift since the baby was born and my family is all out of town. DS1 might get a little extra screen time today 😬

Me and H had a great qday yesterday. Today I had to go mess it up bc he wanted to go out without the big. Yeah I was a bitch, but this bitch would like to not deal with a crying toddler bc you left and he wanted to go too. Ugh can I get a do over?

Due to the crappy night I had with J last night, DH said he would take tonight and I can sleep in the spare bedroom.
I hope I get some much needed sleep and DH doesn't get me due to another crappy night.

We went candlepin bowling this morning. DS was so excited to get out and do something fun, and the baby cooperated well and was quiet pretty much the whole time. We are going to go out to dinner soon and tomorrow we will dye Easter eggs and then have a low key day. DD is one month old today!  |

Ummmm correction guys belly to back. Sleep deprivation is getting the best of me Faith has done that a few times, including at 4-5 days old, but that one was a fluke. It is usually when she is angry at tummy time and is flailing around, I don't think any of it has been intentional yet. |

We are surviving the slumber party so far, but DH couldn’t get baby to go to bed so I’m trying. I’m also considering eating some dairy in the form of s’mores cake balls. 😬 I’ve been dairy free for over a month and it hasn’t affected the quantity of her spit up. I hate the thought of possibly upsetting her stomach, but... s’mores cake balls!

Guys. O slept!
She fell asleep around 815, I woke her at 915 to get the swaddle sack on and on bed so I nursed her then too. Then she slept until 130!!!!!!! Another wake up around 4,415. Then she was fussy around 530 but didn't want to nurse, eventually she did and now she's STILL sleeping. At 7am. I feel well rested! This is amazing!!

DS has been on a regular 9-3, 3-7 schedule all week which is awesome except I have been woken up the last 3 nights by our dog. I’m worried he may have a UTI or something bc he hasn’t had to pee overnight in 4 years & all of a sudden he is barking all night to be let out. I’m hopikg he doesn’t do it again tonight otherwise I’m making a vet appointment for him.

It’s my 30th birthday today!! (Thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday!  Holy crap i can’t believe I’m 30. Last night MH said to me as we were going to bed “the last time we had sex was the last time I’m ever going to have sex with a 20year old”... thanks H haha. Aaaanyway. MH got me an Apple Watch!! I can’t wait to set it up. But the best gift was from the baby who only had 1 wake up last night between the hours of 8pm-745am 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 She only ate off one side (my right boob) during that wake up like she usually does, and my left boob was in soooo much pain. I pumped 6oz just from that 1 boob 😱 I could have kept going but I didn’t feel like getting up to get another bottle haha |

We had an ok night last night. V slept 9-2:20 but then was restless until 4:30 when I brought her in bed with me to nurse/sleep. DS came in around 6:30 but then V and I went back to sleep until about 8, off and on. Overall, I feel plenty rested. That first stretch is just the best. I usually do a 12 minute guided relaxation at bedtime and almost always fall asleep before it finishes!
Not much going on today. I had a rough day yesterday. I don't think V ever napped longer than 20 min and she was nursing a lot. DH was seeding our lawn so he was unavailable for much of the day. I don't feel like I got any adult interaction and that drains me. The toddler and I did get out to the library in the afternoon so I think he was happy about that. He's been acting out a bit more this weekend, he was kicking V's bouncy seat this morning. I think it might actually be harder on him when DH gives the baby attention now bc he's adjusted to me giving her a ton of attention but usually DH is hanging with him.

Happy birthday amesie!! Everyone in my house is sick except me. At least it’s just a cough/cold, but it made the baby wake up frequently last night. And H’s mancolds are just so fun. 🙄 He suggested we ask one of our parents to come over to “help.” Help with what exactly? You’re coughing, not dying. 😠 |
