Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 36+2
Baby is the size of a: not sure
Appointments: NST and OB check up this past Monday. Same thing next Monday.
Symptoms: Just so very tired! It is torture getting myself up each morning and coming to work. I'm sitting at my computer right now trying not to fall asleep. Other than the fatigue, heartburn always, feeling like there's no more room for baby in there, lots of kicks.
Milestones: Nothing really
Rants/Raves/Vents: DH and I got a new king sized bed (upgraded from our queen) this past weekend and it's fabulous. So much space! I have been nesting like crazy and am feeling better about what we have accomplished. Now I just need to pack my hospital bag bc it is stressing me out a bit that it's not yet ready.
GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Both. I grew up only with cats, but we have a cat and a golden retriever now and I love having a dog. She's my shadow and just the sweetest dog ever.

Symptoms: SPD, sore back, heartburn Milestones: getting so close to term! Rants/Raves/Vents: my GD has been acting up this week and my after meal numbers have been steadily rising even though I’m eating the same foods. My doc adjusted my night insulin so hopefully that reigns in these next few days. So ready to be done with this guessing game! GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Definitely a dog person! Bonus- a pics from DD’s spring mini session when I was 33w. The bump looks so much smaller laying down😂

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 39w1d Baby is the size of a: Pumpkin Appointments: Next Wednesday Symptoms: Hip pain, not wanting to interact with anyone, exhaustion, nausea Milestones: Lost some of my MP. I really thought that would be it. Rants/Raves/Vents: Still pregnant. It's close enough that I'm getting super anxious but still seems impossibly far. GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Dog but honestly I'm so over having pets at this point. Taking care of little people is about all I can handle. Once our current dogs pass away I don't see us getting a new one for a loooooooooong time.

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 2 days old
Baby is the size of a: she was 6 lbs 4 oz at discharge tomorrow and will be weighed at her appt this morning
Appointments: pediatrician appt this morning
Symptoms: overall I'm feeling really good recovery wise. Baby is having a hard time with some mucus/fluid that didn't fully come out at delivery. She chokes and gags on it and is uncomfortable laying on her back so we are keeping her on her tummy as much as possible and suctioning as needed.
Milestones: Baby is here!
Rants/Raves/Vents: only two days in but things are going really well. Dd1 is being good about wanting to help and listening about what she can't do and giving the baby some space. She does cry when the baby cries so we are working on that.
GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Neither. I didn't grow up with animals and dogs seem like a lot of work to me. Mh wants to get a dog eventually so we'll see.
Baby girl at 2 days old this morning. And DD1 singing to her yesterday.

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 33+4
Baby is the size of a: a ferret according to Ovia; estimated at about 5.5 pounds via the MFM this morning (insert Ron Burgundy I don’t believe you gif here). Neither of my older two were 6lbs at full term. I’m guessing this one will be right at or slightly over if anything. If she comes out anywhere larger than that, I will be the most surprised.
Appointments: I saw the MFM this morning. He’s comfortable releasing me from his care, but I’m sure I’ll end up seeing him at least once more. My OB can be kind of extra (& I’m okay with that). Otherwise, I have in office NSTs tomorrow & Monday, then an OB appointment & NST next Thursday.
Symptoms: nausea/vomiting; general tiredness/exhaustion come mid afternoon to bedtime, but I’m sleeping a million times better at night since we started using our new mattress over the weekend; sore hips/belly; occasional contractions, but nothing to be overly concerned about.
Milestones: I had something that I thought of, but I’ve forgotten at this point.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I spent about 3 hours in L&D on Monday for additional monitoring and a biophysical (again, extra OB), because baby wasn’t giving heart rate variability in office, even after juice and being buzzed in both the office & L&D.
GTKY: We have both, two dogs & two cats, and I like them for different reasons. However, H & I are fairly well in agreement that we probably won’t own another cat, so I guess that puts me into a dog person?

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 37+1
Baby is the size of a: baby...they said around 5.5 lbs at my u/s last week
Appointments: I had one on Monday and I have one on Monday.
Symptoms: General discomfort and aches and pains. Nothing really specific.
Milestones: I think 37 weeks is considered term? Early term?
Rants/Raves/Vents: My belly is stil measuring behind (35 at 37w) and the MW mentioned doing another growth scan at my next appt. I had one last Tuesday and everything looked ok so I’m not sure what they’re looking for? They didn’t actually make me an u/s appt though so 🤷♀️. I never had any “extra” monitoring with DS so this all makes me anxious.
GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Dog. I have one and I’m allergic to cats.

Bonus points for bump pics:) EXTRA BONUS POINTS FOR BABY PICTURES!!!! Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 39+6 Baby is the size of a: Fully cooked baby Appointments: Midwife tomorrow Symptoms: Contractions, heartburn, carpal tunnel Milestones: Tomorrow's my due date Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm over it. GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? I'm a dog person. We have 2 and I love them to pieces but they've been so much extra work since having a kid. Cats are generally annoying but I've loved a few. Eta: a picture of my 10 year old American Bulldog who literally opened the bathroom door while I was peeing to sit and stare at me so I would feed him.

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 36w5d
Baby is the size of a: cabbage patch doll
Appointments: weekly
Symptoms: same as usual. I’ve also pretty much totally lost the ability to bend over 😂😂😂
Milestones: soooo close to (early) full term!!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m pissed the NP seemed very amenable to inducing me after my version and then the office was like NOPE JK.
GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Dog. I like the idea of a cat but I’m super allergic to them and they poop in a box IN YOIR HOUSE. I love my dog but I’m too tired right now to give him the attention he deserves. I hope I love AND like him after this baby is here.

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 38w6d Baby is the size of a: Oscar statuette, Pomeranian Appointments: checkup on Friday Symptoms: insane nausea at night, everything hurts and I'm dying Milestones: Had our special family outing this past weekend, celebrating DS1 and being a family of three. And my mom will be here in a couple hours!! Now it's time to get this baby OUT. Rants/Raves/Vents: My mindset has totally shifted to being ready to meet this baby. I'm trying to scale it back and remember that these last days as a family of three are so fleeting, and huge changes are coming. GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Both. Though honestly, I'm shifting away from being a cat person, mostly because DH's cat is an asshole.

Bonus points for bump pics😊 EXTRA BONUS POINTS FOR BABY PICTURES!!!!
Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 2 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: just had an appointment this morning! 7 lbs 12.5 oz. not quite back up to birth weight but soooo close.
Appointments: we had a laundry list of issues to discuss today and surprise surprise - all is normal and we are just being worry warts about everything. But it puts my mind at ease!! I was happy L gained weight because he is such a lazy eater but she said she’d like to see more because he has dropped in percentage. I’m trying I swear but the kid falls asleep at every feeding!! Now we don’t go back until 2 months - that seems so long from now! And I don’t have another OB appointment until 6 weeks PP. It feels weird to not have to go to anything for almost a month from now!
Milestones: for me - I’m completely off pain meds!! Don’t even need ibuprofen! This is a lot sooner than with my first csection so I’m pretty happy! Overall I’m feeling much much better this time around.
For L - he’s smiled a few times and I die!!
Rants/Raves/Vents: so apparently white noise machines are magic. We were having trouble getting L to settle down once we swaddled him and put him in the crib - he’d wake up and get fussy so we’d pick him up until he fell asleep, then set him down, he’d wake up - you get the picture. Cue white noise machine. He passes out instantly once we turn it on. And we’ve been getting longer stretches at night. Soooo...winning!!!
GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Definitely a dog person and a dog family. DH is highly allergic to cats so that’s a no for us.

Baby is the size of a: 6lb baby Appointments: we had a pediatrician appt on Monday and he’s growing well Symptoms: leaky boobs, fucking hemorrhoids, Milestones: back up over birth weight and doing 4 hour stretches at night Rants/Raves/Vents: none of my clothes fit. Maternity clothes are too big and my real clothes are too small. GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Dog. I have 2 but they annoy the fuck out of me. I’m gonna add a pic...I just need to get on tapa my sweet old man baby

snowmoon, That's funny that your dog opened the bathroom door. My cats are worst than toddlers and I can never go to the bathroom in peace. One cat runs in quickly because she wants to drink water out of the bathroom faucet. The other puts his paws under the door trying to open it.

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 35 weeks tomorrow
Baby is the size of a: ?
Appointments: Next Thursday for ultrasound (AMA), regular check and GBS swab
Symptoms: occasional pregsomnia & heartburn at night, which I think was due to taking my prenatal at bedtime. I'm taking it during the day now to see if that solves the problem.
Milestones: So I've peed my pants twice in the past two weeks while sneezing. yaaay.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Feeling really weird about approaching 36 weeks and being just a month away from baby time. I think I am in denial that we will be a family of 5 in such a short time. We are in such a good place with the independence of the boys and it's going to be so wild to go back to that newborn phase (and have to keep up with the routines of the big kids at the same time). Trying not to worry too much about it because it is what it is.
GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person?
I grew up pretty much always having a cat but we got a (cat-sized!) dog a year after we got married because my husband is allergic to cats and I wanted a pet. I love both cats and dogs, but I have to say that my dog seems more like a part of the family! He is nearly as much work as our human kids too!

One cat runs in quickly because she wants to drink water out of the bathroom faucet. The other puts his paws under the door trying to open it. He's worse than my toddler too. The door was closed and B opened it before i told him I'd be out in a minute. He said "oh, sorry" and closed it before leaving but it didn't latch. Then the dog butted in. He needs someone to entertain him 90% of the time.

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 2 weeks Baby is the size of a: a chunk...9+ pounds Appointments: we have a weight check and quick appointment with the Pediatrician tomorrow Symptoms: sleepless nights=tired Milestones: L got his first real bath last night. Rants/Raves/Vents: DS1 loves his big brother ...he constantly wants to help. I need warm weather DS1 is going stir crazy and we need outside time. Days when I am home alone with both boys are tough right now. GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? I am allergic to cats, so I am a dog person. Currently, I don’t have any pets but would love to get a dog. Funny story: Since giving birth to L, DS1 convinced himself that I am now pregnant with a puppy because he wants a puppy. A photo I snapped during L’s newborn session: Brotherly love: And 1 more...crazy after bath hair:

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 3 weeks, 6 days. I have an almost 1 month old. How did this happen?
Baby is the size of a: 9 lb, I think. We weighed him on my mom’s old baby scale so not sure if it’s 100% accurate.
Appointments: 8 week checkup, a whole month away!
Milestones: Neck muscles are getting stronger! L is getting so much better holding up his head, but he’s still a bit wobbly. Tummy time lasts for approximately 1 minute before he’s fussy. As parents, we have gotten much better with avoiding pee sprays during diaper changes.
Rants/Raves/Vents: L is full of sneezes lately! He’ll sneeze a couple times in a row and get ready to sneeze one more time, but won’t, and then he lets out this little “ahhh” and it is ADORABLE. I’m still trying to catch it on video.
GTKY: Definitely a dog person. Cats make me sneezy. But I like having no pets in my house.

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 39+6 Baby is the size of a: ready to come out baby argh!!!!!! Appointments: yesterday and this Monday Symptoms: so much cramping but nothing quite seems like contractions? I’m not sure. I feel #new as fuck. Had weird pain in my side last night but constant not at all contraction like. Milestones: due date tomorrow WTF?!??? Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m having some feelings about likely being in hospital over Easter. No cafes for real coffee open in the hospital = silly small negative thing, DS1 missing out on a real egg hunt at home or me missing out on his hunt (he was just so cute and into it last year) = maybe silly too? GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? Kind of both, we have a cat and a dog 😊

Weeks pregnant or How old is your LO: 5 weeks old today! Baby is the size of a: last weigh in she was 8 lbs 14 oz. She was also wearing clothes and a diaper so that may not be totally accurate but at least we know she is still gaining. We were doing a weighted feed at the lactation consultants Appointments: I have my 6 week follow up coming up on the 28th and she has an 8 week follow up the 12th. I will be scheduling something around that time too to get an. IUD placed. Symptoms: Sore boobs all the time and cracked nipples 😢😢 Milestones: I don't even know Rants/Raves/Vents: So we went to the lactation consultant yesterday. She was helpfulish. DD is capable of latching well she just hates me. Why do lactation consultants insist on just shoving baby onto you boob as opposed to letting mom get baby latched? Like, you do know that I have to go home and do this without you right? Why can't you just watch me do it and give me some help? We did a weighted feed and she transferred 3 oz! Which made me super happy because here lately I have been doubting that she is getting enough from me. So that was good at least. She did check out my poor nipples and gave me some nipple cream and told me to start wearing the shells again in my bra to keep them from rubbing. She thinks that if I can just get then healed a lot of the pain will subside because baby does have a decent latch. My right boob does have a huge sore area in it which I am super annoyed about because I thought I got over that last weekend. I don't think I ever mentioned that I am pretty sure I had the beginnings of mastitis or a clogged duct because I was really sick and feverish and waking up sweating last week. I nursed like crazy and upped my pumping and that seemed to help a lot. Then I started getting stringy milk out of my nipple so I know there was definitely a clog in there. This hard soreness makes me think I still have something in there. ::sobs:: GTKY: Are you a cat or dog (or neither) person? We have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I love them both a lot and I am not sure which I prefer? I will say that my love of dogs is limited to about 30 lbs. I am not super fond of dogs much bigger than that. To own or have in my house at least. Baby took a bath with me a few days ago. She LOVED it. It was seriously the cutest thing. DH was having fun with her. She was quite fascinated with the water pouring out.
