When will your H be back Sunny41?? I know you’re sick now but do you have a friend or two you could get together with while he’s gone? That helps me tremendously when I’m feeling lonely. Thanks. He'll be back next Friday. I usually get together on Thurs at cfa with a friend but since I have whatever illness I have to cancel

MRI came back and showed no stroke, which is good news. The doctor basically thinks it's all related to his BP, drinking and smoking. Obviously you can't lie about your BP, I know FIL has cut way back on his smoking since H has quit, and I'm sure SMIL wasn't completely honest with his drinking, because many drinkers are not honest about how much they drink. It just seems weird to me that those things could lead to waking at 5:30 screaming in pain, being completely unable to communicate, sweating enough to soak your bed sheets, when you remember waking at 3am to use the restroom. I hope that's it and FIL quits drinking and smoking, but it just seems weird to me.
I don't know, I have no experience in this, but it just seems like something else is happening. You know, with my business degree and all my medical knowledge!

You know, with my business degree and all my medical knowledge! Sounds more like a heart issue than stroke, IMO. I had a TIA when I was fourteen and there was no pain, no sweating, just confusion and dizziness, loss of coordination, etc. Not the same as a stroke, more like a "mini stroke," but seems pretty different based on what you described.

Drama ahead: Pdq: mh is going to make me crazy. We had dinner, and I just finished cleaning the kitchen and I got this intense tightness in my chest. I got nervous that it was a heart attack. (Im always having a heart attack, btw). I went to the living room to lay down and I took an aspirin (just in case) MH wanted me to consider it being stress related. Now I know we're under stress bc we're moving but i was focused on my physical symptoms bc, to me, having a heart attack is a much bigger issue. So apparently he think that means I'm dismissive of stress bc I won't acknowledge that the pain I was having could be stress-related. I know i will survive this move, but I may not survive if I'm having heart attack so I wanted to zero on that instead in case we needed to call 911 or go to the ER. He's all butt-hurt right now bc his logic is if I am dismissive of my own stress therefore I'm dismissive about his.
We cannot have any more snow days off together for a while. It's too much.

guster I hope you are feeling better and it is totally stress related. It seems a bit of a stretch for him to think you're dismissive about his stress. I would focus on how you're feeling and making sure you're taking care of yourself, then discuss his concerns. If it is stress related, arguing about being dismissive of his feelings isn't going to help matters.

Yes, mwhip, i should have added an eta. I'm fine. I think I tweaked my torso washing the floor. He never made the leap to the conclusion but I I know him well enough that I can assume. He stressed bc he wasted his day home doing nothing and has 11 letters of recommendation due in the next two days at school. That's on him, not me.

dapostrophe I was LOL at over your chat with your H. Glad you got a good breakfast out of the deal! The end tables won’t be in for 7-9 weeks; I ordered them from Ethan Allen in a custom finish so we have to wait. I kind of enjoy the mid-century modern look when it’s well done. Haven’t seen Crate and Barrel lately. Restoration Hardware has some really interesting things now—again, not for me, but I can appreciate it. I’ve about decided that within reason, I’m just not into following decor ‘trends’. I consider myself an updated traditionalist—I don’t want “fussy” but I appreciate more classic pieces. My favorite designers’ work is pretty timeless—you can’t look at it and pinpoint when it was done, and I like that. And yes, a little distressing—esp on things the kids are in contact with frequently—never hurts! They’re going to do it anyway so it might as well show up on my doorstep that way, plus it’s easier to touch up 😜 Who's your favorite designer if you don't mind sharing? Also, I hope you will share pics when the tables get here and the room is all set up 😁 Phoebe Howard is probably my all-time favorite. She’s based out of a beach community in my hometown but works globally. Her stuff is just exquisite. Meg Braff is another good one. A few up-and-comers I like are Ashley Whittaker, Lindsay Coral Harper and Charlotte Lucas.

We have gotten several inches of snow so far. It’s still snowing. trtlcrzy tgrimes When you buy from Disney Store do you pay for shipping? $75 is a high threshold for free shipping. I usually only buy from them if I'm getting a lot of stuff or if they have a free shipping code.

guster So, H is dismissive of your larger concern, presents a possibly valid, but less immediatley serious concern, and then gets offended when you don't prioritize his over your own? Does he not feel this is a bit of a double standard?

I always thought how I would just be so upset if I was on the show and she did my room. Lol. But I enjoyed watching her do crazy things to others.

Trading Spaces was the best. I keep hearing they are remaking it but haven't actually seen evidence this is coming to fruition. I don't need it remade, I just want to watch old episodes with crazy Hildi and Vern. Yep, gluing hay on the walls, the mural of herself. I'll never forget the episode where the couple distinctly said "DO NOT PAINT THE FIREPLACE." She couldn't help herself, it was the first thing she did. I often wondered if these people never watched the show because with the exception of a few designers, most of it was crap with throwing out a decent sofa to make uncomfortable furniture out of dirty pallets that were found in the attic or reupholstering with hideous fabric. And to think these people were all neighbors and had to live next to each other after destroying the other person's house. That's a show in and of itself.

We survived. I haven't listened to the guys VM yet, but of course we saw him in the parking lot smoking(um gross) when we came in from sledding. Mh refused to acknowledge him and I mentioned that we were pooped from out playing and didn't really get a word in and kept walking.
Also why does N ask to nurse for the first time the week I'm seriously about to drop our nighttime nursing session? I'll be out of town in a month, so the clock is ticking to get this weaning done.

Well my brother and his wife just left. I'll update tomorrow when I can type on a computer. But we are in a better place than we were. She said some very hurtful things to me and I let her have it but I think we'll be okay eventually.

No, the few times I’ve ordered have been during free ship events. I’d google and see if there are any codes floating around.
