Ugh I know. My husband says our living room looks like a play room..uh no kidding lol. We donated the bassinet and put away the pack n play and rock n play. J is our one and only but I'm saving some stuff if my brother has a baby. We may use the pnp again as a play pen for when my H has to work in the basement.
He is starting to get bored with the piano and the bouncy chair though th3 bouncy chair is his favorite place to poop. He never got in to the sit me up.
I have another snow day. J and DH are both napping and I'm enjoying the silence. I'm feeling mich better but j has a cold now. I feel bad.
I've made snickerdoodle bars, strawberry bellinis, taco seasoning, and dry rub for steaks so I'm feeling good. I might try and read some of my book while it's quiet.

Thanks for the good luck wishes! Thanks to our awesome friend addymac I may have a couple good leads on a job but my husband's schedule makes things more difficult. I feel like something will work out soon. I'm really excited for this trip though. It will be nice to get away for a bit. We're going with my mom, brother, SIL, and niece too, so lots of helping hands so I can get a break! @starzia, we just packed up a lot of M's stuff too. Gave me all the feels. Not sure if she'll be our last baby or not but it's crazy how time has flown since she arrived! Have you stopped using the changing pad? What do you use instead? It is like wrestling a wild animal when I'm changing Mariah these days and I'm always afraid she's going to fly off the changing pad but I don't know what the alternative is!

cali, good luck. I hope you find something soon! And have fun on your trip. I find traveling with the baby no big deal, just a lot of extra stuff to bring do such a tiny human. @starzia, why aren’t you using the changing pad any longer? My rnp is now my catch all for clothes in my bedroom. I need to put it away too.

You guys, I know I’ve heen complaining. But leap 6 sucks. He cries/whines all day long for the past 4 days. He was no chill baby to begin with, but this is a whole other level. 😣
And we are driving out to my BILs tomorrow for the weekend and it’s a 6 hour drive. I’m really hoping it goes smoothly.

I’m also really struggling using the changing pad, I have been using our bed which she still rolls like crazy but at least more room.
Ugh to leap 6 @easilyunamused. It says we haven’t even started yet but she is acting the same way. Omg it sucks

@easilyunamused oh man I’m sorry. Vent away. Dh has been home these last few days w N and today he’s like this kid is being so fussy it’s absurd. I’m dreading leap 6.
And +whatever to diaper changes being impossible. I read someone say diaper changes become like wrestling an alligator and yep. Cannot keep him still for the life of me! Or stop him from grabbing at his junk lol 🤦🏻♀️

But he always goes straight to grabbing himself as well and it’s usually when he has poop everywhere. 😜 So I try to throw a wipe on that first thing. Lol

The changing table still works for us. J rarely grabs at his junk but it's because his eczema is so bad as soon as he's half naked he scratches everywhere. It sucks.
Today DH asked why j whines and cries so much so I'm right there with you all. He doesn't actually cry much but he does whine a lot.

We’ve been busy getting ready for T’s 4th birthday tomorrow and her party on Sunday.
We used the changing table with T until after she was 3. R gets fussy about diaper changes, but we just push through.
The Pack N Play is handy as a baby container once they’re crawling. Throw a few toys in there and put them in. But, now that we are done, I don’t know what to do with all this shit.

cali and @easilyunamused I can’t make her stay on it ever. So I just change her on the floor. MOTY I change him on the floor a lot too. It’s also easier to change his clothes on the floor as well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I thought leap 6 didn't happen until almost nine months! I'm scared! M been so sick all month I didn’t even know she was in a leap until I checked there app and it says 1 day left 🤷🏻♀️ Are you sure it’s not just the 29-30 week fussiness? Mine says the same thing but it’s the pre-fun apparently before leap 6 starts ::sobs::

My app says M is in leap 5 for four more days. I usually don't even pay attention because I feel like she's forever in a leap.

He's stuffy and keeps rubbing his ears

Yes to changing diapers and clothes on the floor. Our changing pad is basically unused. And I'm not above throwing a leg over her belly for diaper changes to keep her in one spot. Especially the poopy ones... keeps little hands out of the way too.

Some random questions since M has decided we're not sleeping tonight: 1) do you guys still use the baby tub for baths or do you let them sit in the regular tub? If you let them sit in the regular tub how do you keep them from flailing around hitting their heads? I think M is getting too big for the baby tub because she keeps trying to climb out of it and tonight she was almost successful. But she is so wild in the tub I'm afraid she'll hit her head on the deramic in the regular tub. 2) if your kid is taking an extra long nap do you ever wake them up? I never do but the last couple days M has been taking crazy long naps during the day and then sleeping like shit at night. I'm wondering if I should start waking her up at a certain point. How much should they be sleeping at this age?

How much should they be sleeping at this age? J only takes baths with us so I'm no help there. For naps, we wake j if it's been 2 hours . He rarely sleeps that long but we have had to wake him a few times. As for how much they should be sleeping.....ive read so many things and it's all over the place. But anywhere from 9 to 12 hours at night and 3 to 4 hours during the day. This is for 6 months. I'll lol about it though because j is always under sleep recommendations.

DD has been getting up for the day around 5am for a week. And it messes up the whole day of naps/feeding. Yesterday she officially started crawling so maybe she’ll start sleeping til a normal time again. I’d also love for her to nap longer than 20 minutes at a time but I think she’s afraid to miss anything.

We had an awful nigjt. J was up at least 4 or 5 times wailing between 8 and midnight. I had given him tylonal at 7 because he wasn't feeling good. I gave him zyrtec at midnight since he was itchy and stuffy. Thankfully that must have helped because he slept until 4 and is currently still sleeoing. I hope he's ok today.

He was doing better for a few weeks taking one ling one and a few short ones but the last few days it's been between 30 and 35 minutes tops. So frustrating.

cali I just started putting baby h in the big tub bc he was arching out of the little one. I set him on this big Summer Infant bath sponge and it helps anchor him. www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Comfy-Bath-Sponge/dp/B000H953Y2But I have to keep a good grip on his shoulder or he'll get away. I have one of those elephant covers over the faucet so he can't bang his head on it. king26 So sorry j isn't feeling well or sleeping well. We are having crap sleep too. Can't wait till this new fussiness passes.

pennylane, ugh, that is really early. FX she tires herself out with all the crawling and starts sleeping a bit later! P.S. I'm terrified of the crawling starting. king26, I'm sorry for the 💩 sleep. We had a rough night here as well. I hope J is feeling better this morning. Also, thanks for the sleep info!

thinkchocolate05, ohhhh, that's a good idea. I have a faucet cover but I just have a regular thin rubber nonslip pad on the bottom of the tub. I'm going to have to get one of these cushiony things! Thanks!

jt2378 our changing table has the pad face perpendIcular. I don’t know how people change a diaper from the side. So, their legs are kicking you in the stomach/chest. We used it when my niece was here, too. Like, babies try to roll but the older they get, then they realize they could fall and don’t struggle much. cali We use one of those plastic tubs with the infant/toddler sides. T used hers for 2+ years, since she had eczema and baths were supposed to be short.

I am so worn out from going to Chuck E Cheese’s. I can’t believe I have a four year old. R’s naps were all messed up today, so I’m not sure how tonight is going to go.
