Of course L won’t go to sleep. I just want a minute to relax without one or the other kid needing me. I feel bad for my bff bc I have been moody all day. all I wanted to do today was nap and shower and neither of those things happened. Ohh and H leaves on Tuesday until Friday. Can I catch a break, no bc I am a mom. Totally. Too many humans need me all the time. Cannot imagine what it will be like when work needs me too! I was just thinking yesterday how stressful it will be when adding my full time job into the mix of life right now. When does everyone go back to work?

yellow711 I’ve been back since 3/1 when DD2 was 9 weeks. I eased back in with a week of half days so last week was my first full week.

I go back either 5/14 or 5/29. Not sure yet. We're leaning towards the latter. But we just found out daycare rates for 18-19 went up a hair.
5/14 would be 10 weeks. 5/29 would be 12. With DD I took 16w.

I’ll be back 4/23 after 10 weeks. I work 3 days at the office & 2 at home so that helps.

I go back tomorrow. DS is10 weeks today. Other than dealing with a time crunch in the morning it will be nice to have adult discussions etc. DS1 is still asleep this morning. I should really wake him soon.

I am not going back to work until August 27th. DD will be six months old. I am a teacher and decided not to return for the seven weeks between my maternity leave being over and the summer so am taking a leave without pay for those seven weeks and returning at the beginning of the new school year. I went back when DS was three months, and it didn’t feel like enough time. I am grateful we are able to afford the leave without pay; although we will be taking a big hit in our savings.

Plus whatever to needing a night out. I went to a friend's house last week to watch a documentary and drink wine but brought the baby with me. It was easier to just nurse her than to deal with pumping.
I am not going back to work but I start class April 9. All my kiddos will be in full time daycare and I am hoping to supplement my income by working a little bit part time on the side.

I went back to my WFH teaching when DS2 was 11 days old. I have a lighter teaching load this semester but I still had to be on mentally. It wasn't ideal but we needed the income so I couldn't justify going unpaid for 4 months when they gave me the WFH option.

I'm not going back until February 2019 thanks to the Canadian ei system. I was able to get special leave while DD was in the NICU, which will be followed by 50 weeks of maternity /parental leave.

Baby decided he wanted to go to bed at 8. I’m sure I will pay for it with another early wake up but he was clearly over tired and needed to sleep. Now I’m watching SoA on Netflix, playing a computer game and eating popcorn. How’s my boyfriend Charlie Hunnam doing?

I go back on April 30th which is 13 weeks of leave.
I WFH mostly so the transition isn’t as rough but my job has been way stressful lately. I’ve beeb keeping up here and there on my phone and some logging in. I usually love my job and it’s a large part of identity but I’m feeling a little differently this time. I thinking it may change, I have 6 more weeks to go.

I'm tired. I need coffee. And I need to eat and do school work. Dd1 refuses her nap and I have to deal with my SIL and fam today. Liv is super fussy. 🤷♀️

We had some friends over for brunch this morning which was a lot of fun. They moved 6 hours away last summer so it’s nice to catch up.
I go back to work the first week of April which is about 10 weeks leave. I’m in Canada so everyone is always shocked when I say that’s my plan. I’ve already been in lots since H was born so I think I’m ready. Thankfully I’m able to determine how much I will actually work and can start out slow since I own my own business. But I’ve been losing a ton of money being off, so it’s not really an option to stay out for longer.

I haven’t decided when to go back yet... originally we were planning on me going back at 6weeks and picking up a shift here and there. But MH had a great month work-wise last month so there’s not a huge financial push for me to go back anymore. Also, MIL is our childcare when I work, and I’m scared to leave both kids with her all day. She’s a very capable woman, but she’s in her mid 60’s and taking care of a very busy toddler and an infant is not easy. So I’m just nervous about it. That and the fact that my job is so physically and mentally demanding, I just don’t know if I’m adjusted enough to life with 2 kids to jump into a crazy 8 hour shift.

We had zero on our calendar today so I thought DH would watch the bigs, and I’d catch up on house work and laundry. So naturally today DD4 has decided she doesn’t like being the unicorn baby and is only cat napping and needs constant attention. I know I’ve had it way too good, but man, I’m about ready to set my house on fire. It’s a disaster.

PSA Gymboree is having an awesome sale today... 50% off entire store with code FRIENDSRFAMILY then an additional 20% off with LUCKY... and free shipping. I just got DD1 like 6 shirts for this spring/summer for $25, should have been $65 and that’s even with the sale price, not the original price!!

Hugs to you working mamas. I don’t know how you do it. sparky85 I was so thankful I don’t work (outside of the home that is) especially with L’s 10 week NICU stay. I would have literally went back when he got home.😳 I remember seeing a girl that was coming on her lunch to see her babe (he was around 3 months old) I just can’t imagine. I am glad Canada has their shit together. 😜

I'm dreading what my inbox is going to look like.

Hi! Sooooo busy today. We started with breakfast at ihop, a Target trip, the mall and we picked up Panera to go. Then after nap I took G swimming. My sister is living in a hotel until her house gets running water and heat back. We are going swimming with her at the hotel. After dinner I ran to babies r us and to the grocery store. Now I’m sitting on my couch watching Drag Race.

They dont force it but strongly urge against it because if they are ever audited it’d be hard to say if I was working or not.
