Aww poor J tallb! Maybe y'all can do something fun this weekend to make it up to him. B is bummed b/c I am going to my sister's baby shower in FL solo next month (have I mentioned how excited I am about FOUR KID FREE DAYS????!??!?!?!) He doesn't really care about the shower, of course, just wants to see my family. Luckily we are going for Easter, too, so he has that to look forward to.

mwhip Oh we loved Nebraska Furniture Mart, that place was heaven for me It is so overwhelming everytime I go in there...when we went to look at carpet, once I saw how big the selection was, I told H we should leave and go to a bar and drink instead of looking through everything!

Ha, yes this is true. The first time we went I was pregnant and we were looking for a glider for B's room, and also a desk for my H. I had to take rest breaks a couple times, lol.

snoopmommymom I think tgrimes GI person mentioned having the kids dot on the toilet for 5min a day. Maybe you could make it special time when you or yh close the door and read with him. Even if he doesn't poop he gets reading and special time. If he has a positive association with the time maybe it will go better. Don't even say it is time for pooping. Have you cut out or reduced the BRAT foods? Increased fiber foods?

C-section ladies, when can you drive? Just once off the pain meds and feeling good? I was going to ask at my appointment and forgot.

Some people don't have a choice though so I'd say if you're feeling okay and not high, you're probably good.

Cadence and I are going to visit my Mom tomorrow. She wants to take Cadence to a place to paint pottery or something. I invited my brother from Houston and he's actually coming, so that's cool. Plus, it means he can take the stuff my other brother brought back from Dad's and it won't be in my garage.

I was told 2 weeks by my doctor and I didn't' have a c-section. My sister's dr told her 3 weeks. I only know this because that's how long my parents would stay with her afterwards. If you're feeling okay, I'd do it. I'm sure it would make things easier for y'all!

wineallthetime I was told 10 days and off pain meds. I drove the first week because I needed to and was off meds and felt ok. snoopmommymom you can try that baby massage on O I’ve used it on C before. He laughs the whole time but it works. But honestly he’s only ever gone a day or two without. Has O seen a GI?

Ds had a bad dream or something so he ‘slept’ in our bed, dd woke at 5. Long crazy day, since the new job I’ve cut back my hours at my old job, but my workload is the same. So I’m trying to squish 24 hours into 16 and it just ain’t going to happen. My most valuable co-worker is on maternity leave and I miss her, on professional and personal level. Kids where overtired, so I’ve been siting in the floor for over 45 minutes to calm dd down, I’ve transitioned to the door. Let’s just say I’m exhausted and sooooo glad it’s Friday!

mwhip I had an empire experience similar to wedding when we did our basement but previously I did not show up for them because I went into labor with DS1 the first time they were coming. inthekitty the dog is suppose to be driven to NJ a week from tomorrow. She will be spayed this week so as long as all that goes ok, we get her next Saturday. So change of plans again, we are all on the way to the tournament now. The hotel had upgraded our room before we canceled the other day and we called and they are honoring the upgrade and the group rate we had. We watched game 1 on Facebook live then I threw a bunch of stuff in a suitcase, pulled the middle kids from school and left. Thankfully, another mom told me there is a Target by the hotel because I have no idea what I packed.

Hi Ladies! Ran to target this morning and got the last of the easter stuff, some new bedding for my oldest, and some wine and cupcakes for a neighbor thing tonight. I though about making something, but nah.
I love shopping new bedding. Last night, I switched to the spring/summer sheets on the kids' beds and decided to use the top sheet. I never used it before, because I figured it would just end up bunched up at the bottom, but they loved them! Kids get excited about the simplest things, it cracks me up.

Well, Empire still hasn't responded to my email so I responded to my FB post and told them to me, the 'matter' had been handled and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If they randomly show up at my house today I'm going to be angry. But based off wedding and kim22 experience, I'm glad we avoided that inconvenience.

I’m currently halfway to my parents but stopped for a way overdue oil change and to get my tires balanced and rotated. I grabbed some Starbucks for the wait and S got her first ever cake pop which she devoured in 3.4 seconds. I should have gotten something that would occupy her longer. Not w she keeps trying to steal my smoothie but I’m not sharing!
The hospital called this morning to go over payment for my surgery at the end of the month. They said kids under 14 were not allowed and I got super happy. Lol. MH wanted to take S with us that day. No way that would have gone well! The lady laughed and said she’s never had anyone happy when she told them that. Usually people are upset. Lol.

kim22 Glad you guys can make the tournament. Also, I can't wait to see the new puppy! inthekitty I remember the green-yellow-red card thing, I didn't love it. I felt like it just made some kids feel anxious. Agree that your daughter had good intentions and should not have been "punished". Lame.

wineallthetime - I was told 2 weeks. My doctor said it wasn't just about the pain meds, because I never took them. It was about being physically capable of reacting quickly, which can be really tough when your core was recently split open. That said, I don't think I made it a week either time because life got in the way.

I'm chatty today. Sitting on the couch with my grandma's heating pad on my back and it's heaven. cagoldi What are you doing for bras these days? I have way outgrown my normal bras, and am almost exclusively in sports bras. The thought of underwire makes me want to die.

I felt like it just made some kids feel anxious. Agree that your daughter had good intentions and should not have been "punished". Lame. When I was in elementary school we had blue-green-yellow-red card behavior tracker. At least it was simple enough. But this teacher is so extra there's like 7 colors or something. I just know the general "good" and "bad" colors because I have no clue what would constitute pink vs. blue vs. purple vs. green. I don't think the teacher does either and it seems to be more dependent on her mood. Luckily it hasn't been much of an issue because M has good behavior at school, but she's very ashamed the few times she's had a "bad" color. I wish the teacher would just write a quick note if there was an issue.
