It’s a little premature for some and a little overdue for others (SEE WHAT I DID THERE) but what are you doing to help avoid being eleventy weeks pregnant or get labor started before needing an induction? And when did you start that. I have a bottle of evening primrose oil somewhere but can’t remmwber how much to take and when to start taking it. I did eat a pineapple this week, but I just really like pineapples.

I'm not doing much. I have been drinking the red raspberry leaf tea though. I'm honestly just so anxious about going in to labour when I'm hime alone with DS that I don't want to try anything until SO has a day off.
I'm only 39 weeks though so not in any rush.

I’ve been drinking RRL since 30 weeks. I’ll start taking EPO orally at 36w and then vaginally at 37w.
We have an eviction set for 4/16...

I ate almost a whole pineapple. And like 4 of the labor inducing lemon cupcakes. A lot of eggplant parmesan. Sex every night.
I'm honestly at the point where I don't really think anything helps and I'm tired of pineapple and lemon so I'm over it.
I was using my yoga ball to try and get her down but I just gave myself SPD. And my midwife says usually second babies don't drop ahead of time so I'm over that too.
Basically I'm just giving in to being pregnant forever.

I’m only 34 weeks so I’ve done basically nothing, but last time I walked my ass 3 miles about 2 days before I went into labor. I had also been drinking the tea, though this time I have not remembered to do it. I also tried spicy food. I think the walk did it.

I had a membrane sweep last week that just helped me lose more of my mucus plug and caused cramping that didn't lead to anything. Other than that just sex and lots of walking. And I'm using my exercise ball to help. She's already low so I'm trying to see if she can drop more to get things going.
I'm also getting a pedicure today and a prenatal massage this weekend and hoping they hit some pressure points.

My tactic so far has been to plan a bunch of fun things that Iggy can ruin by being born.
...This is how science works, right?

Wicked (the musical) is currently in town and I really want to see it. Unfortunately, Murphy stalks me and I know as soon as I buy tickets, I'd go into labor. So I'm going to save the money and use it to buy better tickets to Hamilton when it comes in July.

Our renovation STILL IS NOT DONE and I’m trying to not have a stroke every time MH or FIL says something to the effect of “well we still have 6 weeks.”
I’m just sure they don’t. DD1 was a week early. Nobody ever adds that to their calculations. So I’m guessing I’ll have an early baby and a half done renovation.

DH is like that too: “we have plenty of time!” “Don’t stress” Uhhhhh I’m 36w and could literally have a baby at any time. Just get your shit done, bro. Can you tell them it needs to be live-able in a minimum of 4 weeks?

Oh man, but Wicked is amazing! I totally cried during it the first time I saw and it. My BFF and I actually bought tickets earlier this week for when they're local in June. We're also considering a quick weekend trip to NYC to see Pretty Woman in August for her birthday.

Hamilton will be here this summer as well... but the ticket prices would likely require selling a kidney. I’ve heard that we may have some success with getting tickets at the door, day of. I might brave this if I feel comfortable leaving the baby for that long then.

I’ve told them 100 time if we are not done and settled before baby the renovation is dead and I will literally bite anyone who lifts a hammer.

That doesn't make you sound terrible. Think of it as a bonding experience for your H and the kids. I literally don't understand the mentality that just because you have kids, you can't do anything without them. My mom and sister are horrible about that.

But, I am also really bad about doing things for myself or without either kid so far, so that's where his GO HAVE FUN comes from.

I’m being induced on Tuesday. I’m planning on walking this weekend since it’s supposed to be a tad warmer. Also might go get a yoga ball to bounce on. I figure the more prepared I can get my cervix before I go in the better off I’ll be.

@tonyjoys I think it's awesome that your h is being supportive of you having fun with a friend. I think I was mostly venting because DH and I went on vacation last May for our 10th anniversary and we were gone for two weeks. My mom and sister were both giving me a hard time about it. "Oh I don't know HOW you could possibly leave DD for two weeks. I never could do that/ I never did that when you were little."

Oh goodness I’m sorry! Literally zero judgement from me. I would have to get there at the crack of dawn for day off tickets and be willing to spend all day pumping until the actual show at night plus 1-2 hour of travel each way. It would likely just be too much work/trouble even without worrying about a NB at home. Leaving my kids is a big anxiety trigger for me but I 100% realize it’s irrational and don’t project those feelings into anyone else. I apologize if it sounded like I was saying otherwise.

I didn't realize it would be an ALL day affair for you to be able to go. I would skip as well, but no, I 100% understand your feelings and also respect them. We'll leave around 4:30/5, have dinner somewhere around the theater, then the play starts at 7:30. I'll probably get home sometime around 11. My plan is to pump/feed right before I leave and then feed right when I get home and hopefully not fire hose all over the place when I become blubbery mess during Defying Gravity.
