sunshinedaisies I meant to check in and see how you were doing! How is DS adjusting to being a big brother?? It’s been mostly good!! He was so excited to be a big brother, when he visited me in the hospital he legit pushed me aside and asked “where is my baby brother?” And then immediately asked to hold him! 😂 But since we’ve come home, I think he is confused because the last baby he was around was 8 months old so much more interactive. And not ours so she didn’t demand OUR attention like L does. Since we’ve been home he’s been a little extra clingy (my mom is here to help but DH and I are the only ones that can play with, feed, bathe, do anything with him). But over the past few days he has been more enthusiastic about helping out and yesterday asked to hold L again. So mostly good, and nothing I didn’t expect!! He’s very sweet and gentle with L though so it’s awfully cute to watch! Is C excited? I bet he’s going to be a great big brother too!!!!

I'm sure it's a huge adjustment for him but I'm glad he's so sweet and gentle with L. We've been trying to transition as much as we can for C before the baby gets here - DH doing bathtime solo, naptime, etc. But I'd imagine it will still look different when the baby is here and preventing him from getting 100% of my attention. I hope that he's as big a helper with the baby as your little guy wants to be! C seems to be "getting" it a little bit and loves kissing my belly and saying "hi, baby brother" which melts my heart. I hope he's as affectionate when his baby brother is on the outside!

I woke up in sheer panic just a little bit ago because sleepy me thought that the baby fell out of the end of the bed. Baby is definitely in the crib. The dogs however were on the end of the bed and one of them had just jumped off. I had been laying there for a little bit listening to her fuss and trying to decide if it was enough fussiness that she was awake and I should get up and feed her or if it was asleep fussiness. Scared the crap out of me, not fun. So now I'm up feeding her, fully awake and she will not be falling out of anything.

Or I've gone to bed and he is supposed to be finishing up with E and then coming to bed and I have woken up an hour later and they're not in the room with me. In my half asleep state this has really freaked me out for some reason.

tinyjoys glad you’re ok mattsgirl2004 i hope you were able to get some rest without the daycare kids being there sunshinedaisies woohoo for tandem nap...seriously the best i also feel like i can barely keep up here i’m basically here as a creepy lurker. dd2 has been so much more chill than dd1 so far, but i’m pretty sure my expectations play into that. dd2s first round of testing all came back normal so we don’t need to meet with the oncologist (it is most likely not neuroblastoma at this point but a hemorrhage). i spoke with the pediatric surgeon about the schedule for testing yesterday and if it continues to be normal we won’t have to follow the initial plan as aggressively. next round is late next week or early the week after. i am hopeful right now. meeting some friends for coffee this morning and bringing the babe so they can all meet her. there are 4 of us and we all had girls in the last year - i am so excited for them to grow up together. hope everyone has a good weekend and i can’t wait for more babies!

I definitely overdid it yesterday cleaning and walking. I was up from 1-4 this morning because everything hurts. I plan to just chill today and I have my massage this afternoon. I need my mind to just let me relax until baby comes. At least there isn't anything really for me to do at home anymore but I'm going crazy just waiting.

I'm making my H take Em to gymnastics today. He wants me to come watch in case she's bad again, but I think if I come she'll want me to go in with her.
But then again, I am craving cheese curds and Dairy Queen is on the way home so maybe I will go.
My ILs invited us over for dinner. They only invite us over for holidays and it's always last minute so we already have plans and have to reschedule our lives to accommodate them. So we're going over Monday instead...I really hope I go into labor before then so I don't have to go.

Ugh, I'm sorry cornpop, I know how frustrating it is to be invited last minute. DH's grandparents always wait until two days before a holiday to invite us for dinner, and then get annoyed if we already have plans. The first year we moved here we didn't know we were invited until the day before Thanksgiving and they were mad because we had made plans for a friendsgiving with some friends that didn't have any family nearby. I also get invited to a weekly "family dinner" at mils house when I'm in town...she always says dinner is at 5pm. I usually show up between 4:30-4:45 and they've already eaten dinner and the food is cold. I was so excited to find out that Hamilton is coming to town, and I've been making plans with my bff to go see it thinking it's going to be here in July. Was very disappointed to learn this morning that it's not going to be here until next July. But I did wake up this morning without my back hurting and no nausea...so I guess today might end up being a good day.
