ArielMermaid I hope you feel better soon. The stomach bug while pregnant is no fun. calendula I hope the baby stays put until the weather clears We took DS1 to get a haircut. He absolutely hates them. The last girl who did it was awesome with DS1 and getting him to calm down. The girl today was quickly overwhelmed. She said it would be quicker if they used clippers and DH told her to go ahead. I didn’t want it, but was assured there would still be length...ha. The girl took off way too much hair. He doesn’t even look the same child. The back of his head looks terrible. He looks like a seven year old instead of a four year old. I am frustrated because it is not the little boy haircut I wanted for pictures he may be in Thursday or for his preschool picture Monday. I know his hair will grow back but not in time for pictures.

I tried to do a quick, low-key trip to Ikea (they have a nightlight that I love for MOTN feedings but I can't take the one out of DS's room) but even with shortcuts, it was a lot of walking. I took it super slow because I started to feel crampy/BHs. I'm also feeling some more pelvic pressure, so I wonder if he dropped a little. Thinking cozy, inside baby thoughts for those wanting to stay pregnant longer, and outside baby thoughts for those of you ready to get things moving! woodenshoes I'm sorry about the haircut fiasco, especially with the timing. I'm not sure if it's too short to make a difference, but sometimes a bath helps refresh my DS's hair after a cut and makes it lay a little more naturally.

MH made tea for me so I asked him to bring a banana and piece of cake with it when he comes up. He came back with a banana and glass of milk. Then he goes back down to put the milk in the fridge and forgot to come back with the tea and cake and went outside.

I just got told to Eff off at Costco. I touched a teenagers shoulder and said excuse me. The dad told me not to touch his kid and then To eff off when I said I just wanted to get by. If I had more time I would have had it out. Screw you buddy.

mattsgirl2004 Congrats on the new car! ArielMermaid Sorry that your still not feeling good, but glad you were able to keep something down. My back has been killing me the last few days. I wish we had a bigger bath tub so it would be more comfortable to soak in.

katietopaz what’s the nightlight? I am needing a good MOTN nursing nightlight like woah. Sorry I’ve been so MIA, everyone. I’m sorry for the sickness and BH and pains. My sister arrived for a visit and she is so helpful. Shes currently making dinner and talking to my son who has been endlessly babbling all day. It’s a big snowstorm outside. Baby T is napping on me. I wish she’d sleep more at night than in the day, but no one can complain about a napping chubby body in front of a wood stove on a snowy day with madeleines in the kitchen for dessert, and grilled cheese/soup almost ready for dinner.

ovenrack This one. It does look a little weird, but I like that it's a nice soft light - it cycles through colors kind of hypnotically, or you can tap it twice to have it freeze on a color. My favorite thing about it is that it doesn't have to be plugged in. It holds a charge, so you can put it right on your nightstand or hold it close to get baby latched or for MOTN diaper changes. If you don't want a color nightlight, they did have this one too that works very similarly, but with a white light.

I'm so tired. Just got home from a long day of running errands, shopping, and my appointment.
I'm dilated at 1cm and baby is definitely head down. My OB said she asked the neurology department to get me in ASAP when they hear back from my insurance, so I can hopefully get a little relief in my hands. I had protein in my urine today, but just a little and my BP was good. This is the first time ever in all of pregnancies that I've had protein in my urine. My OB said we'll just keep an eye on it, but for whatever reason thinks I'm going to go into labor before my RCS. We'll see, I guess.

Nah, I'm equally as creepy. Trust me. This is, like, the bare minimum I expect. I'm really not that hard to keep track of, if you know who to talk to. Haha. It helped I’m alreAdy friends with her too. Next time I’ll just be super creepy and message you myself. (With my luck it’ll be the wrong person) Or just never leave again ok? You're welcome to! I'm really not hard to figure out. Just let me know who you are. XD

I can't quite keep up with the board this last week, but I think that I'm caught up with everything but this thread. So know that I read and cried/laughed with you as appropriate.
We're doing well. I feel great except for my stiches and a bit of soreness the rest of down there. not going to the gym or energy to clean my house great but under the circumstances. DS is over the hump with the bilirubin levels we think. One more check tomorrow. His little heels are covered in cuts. 😓 Nursing is rocky but doable with DH's help and support. Of course we are falling in love more every day.

My randoms: Thanks to ovenrack for mentioning that she puts a cloth diaper across the front of her bra at night. I've been doing this on the side I'm not feeding on. We have had milk everywhere lol. Golfball sized clots are 😱 even if you've been warned. Why do I still have RLS??!! So thankful for dermoplast. I'm ignoring that the can says don't use more that 5 times/day. I had a couple questions that I can't remember. 😶 Now to catch up in the next couple days. Has anyone had a baby since me??!!

I’m finally soaking my poor beaten and battered lady bits in a warm bath and it feels like heaven. I just had to tell someone. Why do I keep forgetting to do this??! Oh because I'm trying to keep alittle human alive and taking him to the hospital for lab work every day. Will do first thing tomorrow morn!

alwayscheese There's a limit on the number of times you're supposed to use Dermoplast per day? I...am confident I ignored that the first time around. Postpartum mamas, if you don't have a sitz bath I'm going to throw out again the suggestion of using a removable/handheld shower head on your lady bits, especially if you have stitches. I swear it sped up my healing and it felt aaaamazing and so soothing.

I’m in a probably unnecessary funk. Had my 38 week appointment today, and I’m suddenly measuring small (35 weeks, I’m 38+5). OB said it’s partly because baby is soooo low but also I have less fluid. Where did it go? Last week I had good fluid levels, today just ok. So my one goal for this pregnancy/delivery was to avoid induction but OB isn’t keen for me to go past my due date (next Friday) so we’ll be booking an induction next appointment for a few days after my due date.
I’m one cm dilated and not really looking like going into labour any time soon apparently.
I know it’s not bad and not the end of the world but its just not what I thought would happen and I’m spiralling a bit that this delivery will be like DS’s (not smooth- he had decels which was scary as fuck, my BP dropped really low and DS had the cord around his neck when he was born. I ended up with an infected episiotomy, spinal headaches that I had to put up with for weeks and a fissure which is still giving me problems).
Ugh. Sorry for the whine.

alwayscheese Oh my gosh, that's right 😩 I love sleeping on my stomach and can't wait to be able to again, but I forgot how uncomfortable it was those first several weeks with engorgement. nevertoomanyshoes I'm sorry for the added anxiety. I'd forgotten how difficult a go you had with DS. 1cm isn't nothing, and hopefully your body just kicks right into gear since it's done this before, even if you get to the point of induction. Don't apologize for whining - that's a lot to have to process, mentally and emotionally!

nevertoomanyshoes I totally understand and sympathize with your nerves, but every baby/pregnancy is different. If anything your body is more experienced this time so things may go more smoothly. Fx for you.

i feel like this baby just knows i need her to sleep. it’s pretty much the only reason i’m doing alright right now. dd1 has definitely been acting out the last few days and i just don’t know how to handle her or help change her behavior. coincidentally, i got a call from the school we are on the wait list for yesterday saying they have a spot starting either mid-april or may. i just think she would benefit so much from being with other kids and having interaction with adults other than mh and me and other family members. damn hormones made me teary thinking about sending her though😬 ladies with toddlers - do you think mid-april gives enough time to transition with the new baby? i don’t want her thinking that we are shipping her off/replacing her because of her sister. i’m thinking mid-may is probably best but i’d like to hear what you would do... eta: we would only be sending her 2 days a week but for the entire day

It sucked so bad😩 but she was cluster feeding so thankfully it was easily remedied! I was able to belly sleep once my supply regulated more so never fear, the time WILL come🙏🏻

It's Pi day so I'm making pesto pasta pie for dinner and blueberry muffin pie for dessert.
I'm over pineapple and lemon already and this baby seems firmly stuck in place.
I have an OB appointment tomorrow and if she says I'm not dilated at all I'm probably just going to cry.
