A is going back under the lights. Bummer, I wanted lots of snuggles today! Should just be 24 hours though.

Add me to the tired list. DST really messed with us this time around. I had to drag myself and all my kids out of bed this morning.
DH had to run to the hardware store at 6 am this morning for a tool for the water softener. Our water was off most of the day, and he was up late last night working on it. He's a grouch as a result, but the water is back on so I'm cautiously optimistic we might be back up today.

I'm dragging but DST was good to me this year and I had to wake the kids at 7:15.
They had been waking up too early so hopefully this is the antidote.

We put Charlie to bed an hour later and Josie just a half an hour later than usual. Charlie slept till 615 and Josie till 730. We'll see what tonight brings.

I'm tired. My brother stayed the night and left this morning. He is driving back tomorrow evening though, which makes for super short trip, so I'm not sure he will even get anything done besides a single Goodwill trip. I'm rather annoyed by it, but whatever, I guess at least he is trying to help out.
Took Cadence to her physical therapy appointment. Basically, just more of the same, tight muscles, she looks taller, did she grow? That causes muscles to tighten (great). I scheduled her appointment with the ortho next week to see where he feels she is at and if she will need the braces.
Then, after I dropped Cadence off at dc, I was nearly plowed into by some old man who thought it was perfectly reasonable to go 70+ in the 55 while people are trying to enter and exit the highway. I flashed my brakes so he wouldn't slam into me, so he flipped me off, zoomed around me and slammed on his brakes to try and get me to hit him. Seriously dude? It is way too early in the morning for this b.s. Well, I changed lanes to get away from him and the moron ended up exiting anyway, so he was in the wrong lane to begin with. I hate idiots.
I feel like my mind is a jumble of dates and things I need to get done and deadlines and mish mash random b.s. that I can't even think properly. I slept like crap and woke up with my back in knots. Maybe I will look into a chiropractor.
....and that was Katie's Monday morning ramble. Bleh.

I’m sorry you’re having those issues w your bro and SIL peachsmama. It’s a shame they don’t even seem interested in keeping some sort of peace for at least your boys’ sake.

I don’t know what happened last night...but S didn’t go to sleep till after 10! I gave her her dose of melatonin at 7:15 and put her to bed at 7:45. Then she just laid there and talked to herself. She got out of bed 2x and turned the light on. Finally crashed out at probably 10:20ish. So either she spit the pill out, or her body is getting used to it. Or last night could have been a freak thing. But she usually crashes out quick! Now I’m paranoid about breakthrough seizures since she didn’t get as much sleep since that seems to be such a trigger for her.

Random question, I signed up to be mystery reader for S class next week. We are supposed to bring in a book to read and either a craft or snack relating to that book. So far, we had 1 fish 2 fish and a bag of goldfish, and the other parent that did it, I have no idea, so I am assuming they did a craft. I am... not crafty. Like at all. And am struggling for ideas. I thought about reading one of the Star Wars books and bringing in the Star Wars Pop Chips link but I think those books are so boring to read, and long. I need ideas!!!

DST is awesome when you don’t have anywhere to be in the morning. H is still sleeping and it’s 10! This means either she’s sick or her staying up late last night got to her. If she doesn’t wake up soon I will wake her. Today it’s supposed to get to high 30s and it’s going to get progressively warmer as the week continues 🙌🏻 Yay spring!

Oooh @klongoria that's a good one. We have that book, but I have the tiny board book version, maybe I'll pop over to the library and see if they have the full size!!
I had been thinking about a Cat in the Hat book (he loves the Cat in the Hat Returns... I think that's what it's called) but I couldn't think of something to go with it!!

Thinking of you today, wedding!! I'm so sorry, peachsmama. I'm generally very anti-cutting out family because my Dad is quick to cut people out for the dumbest shit, but this seems like one of those cases where it's going to better for you and your family to take some serious time and space. You guys don't deserve this shit.

Thinking of you today wedding. I hope surgery is over quickly so you can eat! peachsmama sorry your brother and his family are still being like this. It’s really shitty of them to place blame on you for anything. It’s not like J purposefully got bitten by their dog. Maybe some time and space will help them to get some perspective.

Hope everything goes smoothly today wedding!!! I’m sorry peachsmama that sounds like a hard, frustrating situation. wineallthetime Did they give you any sort of time frame of when A will be discharged? Or is it too early to even predict that? Indiana did not do daylight saving time until a few years ago and I hate it! Everything was fine without it. 🙄

You can pre-cut some top hat shapes out of construction paper and then take some stickers, pom poms, and sequins for them to decorate the hats with. Then attach strips of paper to act as headbands to hold the hats to their head (does that make sense?)

peachsmama Maybe write them some letters. Write one to your SIL and one to your BIL. Just let it all out. Everything you are feeling and thinking about the whole situation. After you get it all out, then either give them the letters, or rip them up and throw them away. The point is to just get it out of your head and heart. It's important to do individual letters though, because I think you should view them as 2 separate situations.

Add me to the hating DST club. Chase was not ready for bed last night and neither of the boys were happy campers when it was time to get them up this morning. I slept in an extra 20 minutes too, using sore legs as my excuse. I mean they ARE still sore because Saturday was brutal, but really I just didn't want to get out of bed.
Anyhow everyone is freaking out about this storm coming in tonight. Tomorrow's the 25th anniversary of the Blizzard of '93, i.e., the worst 14th birthday EVER, and after all the downed trees and power outages last week, we're just so over the winter. My old manager and I are trying to convince everyone that we need to reschedule tomorrow's meeting in NJ for another day. We have people flying in tonight and early tomorrow morning, plus it's a 2-3 hour drive for us in good weather, depending on traffic. DNW to spend hours of my birthday driving through the tri-state area in a blizzard.
DH is going to try to convince his Mom to come stay with us or his sister. She lives a lot further south from where FIL is right now and she's not going to want to NOT visit for a couple of days while we dig out.

kim22 I think the surgery itself is really quick. Like a half an hour. I’m waiting now to go back for prep. I hope they run on time because it can be up to four hours in recovery and my parents are away so we need to make sure we are out in time for school pickup at 6. I’m sure it will be fine. We haven’t had DST issues either. I’m pissed about this storm tomorrow. We are expecting 12-18inches. Recovering with my family home and snowbound does not sound ideal.

I think I've mentioned before that you share a birthday with my BFF. I remember we were home from college for Spring Break and insisted on going out (she drove a jeep) and made it like 2 blocks from my house when we turned around and spent her birthday in my parents basement. However, I don't think this storm is going to be so bad. I might be wrong, but I don't think so.
