I don’t feel bad for Rex as a person, but I’m angry this is being said about our Secretary of State. Especially by the Chief of Staff. I think about the fact that Kelly is said to be hanging on to the job by his teeth and wonder if this was somehow his payment for keeping the gig. Usually I’d ask “was your soul worth this?”, but I’m 99.99999% sure Kelly sold his a long time ago |

The implications for the fact that this is public bullshit and makes us look like a total cluster are one thing. The fact that apparently it's just totes okay in the US government to fire people in retaliation, that shouldn't be fucking partisan. That should be fucking terrifying. Not everyone will be okay financially without their pension, not everyone has info to go public, and having a government where not falling lock step behind a narcissistic wannabe dictator is punishable by firing... ugh.

McCabe helped to hurt Hillary so i can’t bring myself to totally embrace him. I hope he can help to bring Trump down. He owes the country that. I feel sort of the way I felt about the comments about Rex. It’s less about the person it happened to than it is about the office it happened to. If that makes sense? |

People on Twitter are speculating that McCabe could sue over political motivation behind the firing since he’s civil service. Which could lead to some interesting discovery in a legal case.
I’m drunk enough to feel optimistic that this is going’s to backfire on them in one way or another.
