I think we are busy being lazy!
My sister came over and took pics of Liv. We're trying to figure out dinner. Sound of Music is on. 👍🏻👌🏻

The girls & I went to my moms for a bit today which was a good break. My mom is always so helpful and has lots of different toys to entertain the big. Last night was back to normal, too.
Tomorrow H is off and we will probably be lazy.

We decided to do Chinese for dinner. Noms.
My next MBA class starts Monday. Finance. Eeeep. I'm going to try to read tonight and get started early. Once this class is over I go back to work. I'm not ready to go back to the real world yet!

MIL picked up the boys this morning and outside of my noon pump and lunch I slept until 530pm. It was amazing and I'm so thankful.

So I’m in a mood today. Maybe it’s sleep exhaustion maybe I’m about to start my period? I feel like my baby isn’t a baby anymore. It’s not helping that I’m looking through all her newborn pics and it feels so long ago. She’s still sleeping like a newborn so it hasn’t been that long! Haha. Look how much she has changed Now I’m going to get back to staring at my big baby.

I’ve had a busy day. My sister and bil came over for lunch so that they didn’t have to go out to eat. Then my grandmother invited us out to dinner so we went. Now I am cooking the chicken thighs I had intended to eat tonight and I will save them for tomorrow. Both kids are in bed and I believe they are both asleep. I have to straighten my living room and then I can relax a bit.

sarahh. Right there with ya. Maybe it's them becoming more interactive or that we have bigs and know how quick it goes? Makes me really sad because we are 100% done

There has never been a photo that sums up my day so perfectly well than..well.. 😂 In case you need a recap, my sister came for a visit today, and brought the kids gifts from Australia, then we went skating. 2.5 year old insisted the gift goes to the rink with her.

I am eating ice cream and watching blue bloods. Both boys are sleeping, thank the Lloyd. L is passed out in the swing, he doesn’t transfer or dream fed well so I am going to try get a little sleep on the couch before he wakes. I have one more day solo, I can do this.

My phone says it’s 7am, but it certainly still feels like six. I’m hoping DS gives me a couple more good hours after he eats! No plans for today besides getting a nap and possibly going over to my parents place later for dinner. DH has to work, so I’ll have to decide if I’m too lazy to get everyone in the car, or too lazy to get dinner organized on my own 😛

Watched the Big 12 championship game yesterday, Rock Chalk!! So glad KU won. I need to meal plan and get groceries today, and I’m running a Girl Scout meeting. The in laws might come for dinner.

We started dd back on her iron at a half dose a couple days ago, and her sleep has gone to pot. She was sleeping fairly well in her crib, but now she can't seem to stay asleep for more than 30 mins without being held. She is so gassy and cranky, even with burping after every ounce and holding upright for 10-20 mins after the bottle. DH is going to see if he can find a non iron salt based supplement because some of my research suggests that it might be easier to digest. Fingers crossed that something changes soon, and she goes back to her old sleep pattern.

Ugh, screw DST. I am going to wake the older two kids since it is 7:30 here and I don't want the rest of their day to be thrown off. DH already volunteered to get coffee.
Today is DD2's birthday party. I always try so hard to have my kids' parties have a gender neutral theme - Winnie the Pooh, Very Hungry Caterpillar, Home (it was DD1's favorite movie). That is apparently out the door as DD2 very specifically requested a My Little Pony party 😂 I am not a Pinterest mom or anything so "theme" just means I buy plates and a centerpiece from Oriental Trading Company and find a grocery store cake decorated that way.

Liv slept better last night thankfully. 🙌🏻
DD1 is up helping mh make pancakes... Oh man he is no good in the kitchen with her. I can hear them from here. I'm snuggling Liv on the couch.
I struggle with how to get her to eat from both boobs. I think she's just so tiny (comparatively) and I have so much milk one is filling enough. I'm antsy to see her gain on Wed so I can better formulate a game plan! We NOD but if she goes outside x hours she gets woken.
My parents are coming over to see the girls today. My SIL was supposed to but she works in a daycare and she said that there are kids in her room w strep. So, yea. I feel bad for MH because his family has not met O at all yet... And I can tell it kind of upsets him. Tho at this point w his parents we're on the "don't bother coming until May" train. I'm not entertaining my ILs without him home so they can wait until he takes the second part of his leave 🤷♀️

sunfrogger I was only ever able to nurse on one side at each feeding with DS1. In the beginning I had to pump the opposite side when he was done eating.

sunfrogger I’m in the same boat with nursing from 1 side. DD1 did it, and now DD2 as well. When I pump, I usually get 3oz from 1 side, so I think she’s full enough from 1 side that she doesn’t need both. It took my boobs a bit to get used to it, but now it’s NBD. I never feel engorged

We’re all getting ready to get out the door for church. We usually go to the 830 service but that was a big heck no with DST. Then MH and I are going on a date tonight!! Im psyched. We have been off lately and I hate it. We dealer need to reconnect so I don’t want to kill him all the time haha.

My DS1 also only ate from one side per session. I usually pumped the opposite side first thing in the morning. Turns out he refused the bottle so I gave most of it away.

Is anyone else getting annoyed at the pinned threads at the top? I’m sick of having to scroll down so far to see the new threads and keep missing some because of it!
This very well could just be me being overtired and easily irritated haha

Today is the day from hell. I asked H this morning if it was normal to really not like who my kid is right now (hypothetically, I know it’s normal) but like I really can’t stand her lately. She’s so whiny & doesn’t listen & makes me insane. Like I’m praying every second for the energy to treat her with love even though I can’t stand her 90% of the time right now. She’s been a nightmare today. On top of that DS is still stuffy and nursing like crap which makes me so stressed. Basically been in tears for every feeding bc he acts like I’m killing him by trying to feed him. And he won’t even comfort nurse, he just screams his head off until I stop trying and lay him down. So that feels great...
I’ve been in tears all day. H just walked in and saw me with DS screaming and I’m crying & just took him away. DD hasn’t napped, has only sat in her bed crying herself for the last two hours. Our house is a complete shit show today.

Gahh dragonflyinn. That's a lot! Toddlers are rough and this transition with them is way harder than I imagined. Do you think you might have an overactive let down? That could make a baby not want to eat. Or possibly reflux?

That could make a baby not want to eat. Or possibly reflux? I know I have a strong letdown, but it didn’t seem to bother him at all until a few days ago which is when his cold symptoms started too. Up until then he was doing 10+ minutes on both sides (so about 20-30 minutes total nursing) and now I can’t get him to do more than 5 min in a feeding before he starts screaming. I’ve tried all sorts of positions, walking & nursing, etc. Our 2mo appointment is on Tuesday so if we are still suffering by then I’ll talk to our doctor.
