Ugh... taxes. We owe every year. A lot. I don’t understand how any of it works. Also- the super hero letter tracing book is a hit! Thanks for the idea flamingo ! I'm certainly no tax expert, and I know many disagree, but I have my W-9 set at single and 2, so I get a lot withheld. H has his set at single and 0, so it still withholds a lot. I would much prefer to have a lot withheld and get a refund, than to be surprised and have to pay. And trying to figure out the perfect amount to withhold so that you don't owe or get money back? Too complicated to me. Just take my money and give me some back in the spring. Please and thank you. H being off work and on disability really helped us a lot, it dropped us into a lower tax bracket, which I was surprised by. I hate taxes.

Off to search for indoor sport options. I keep telling MH that I'm praying both kids find things to do inside. I do not want to be out in the heat for soccer/baseball etc. Ugh. I never thought about this but now I'm dreading it. I will be a lobster! So will X. We are too fair to sit in the heat/sun.

We both claim 0 and we have still owed every single year since we got married save for 2016. The withholding tables aren't high enough so we have to write a fat check regardless. Boo.

Morning! FX on the house guster. I hope you get your date-night lahdeedah! I took C to get a trim this morning after we dropped B off at school. We've just been puttering since then. DH just got home and is going to pick up B from school here shortly. I think we're going out to eat tonight and I'm excited, I've cooked the last five nights (where's my medal??)

B does not seem bothered by the heat at all so I'm probably looking at a lifetime of outdoor sports. My parents spent many a Saturday in extreme heat watching me row so I guess that is my karma. Fortunately the races are only 7-8 minutes and then it's done. My sister did volleyball and basketball so climate-controlled, but more frequent games and on weeknights.
My H ran cross-country and track and played soccer; MIL swears cross-country is the perfect sport b/c you can show up at the end for 5 minutes, races are on Saturday morning and then you're done for the weekend.

I work for the third weekend in a row this weekend and can't wait until it's done. Nothing better than sitting in class when it's supposed to be sunny and 63 degrees after being rainy and crappy lately. I just hope next weekend the weather cooperates because I already have my weekend planned out.

klong11 have you watched Altered Carbon yet? I watched the first episode a couple weeks ago and it was really good. It's requires paying attention though and I haven't had time for that lately otherwise I probably would have already binged it.

When I say my kid plays hockey everyone says that's too cold (and early and expensive) but I can do hockey cold because it's controlled cold, no rain, no wind and most rinks have a heated viewing area. Baseball here starts out freezing in March and ends sweating in June.

Then of course work got in the way so I only saw up to the part where he was being taken out of the bag. That dude has really bulked up and become quite chiseled since The Killing and even Suicide Squad.

One of my HS friends is hawking Younique on FB. It's about how you would typically expect MLM FBing to go with a gazillion annoying posts and lots of CAPS and !!!!! She shared a post showing her leg and at first I was like "okay..." and didn't realize that both legs were in the picture side by side but one side had bronzer on and the other was about as white as the sheets in the background so I didn't even see it. I have to say, that picture did make the product look good for those who care about bronzer. I embrace my pastiness. For outdoor sports moms, I've had this on my Amazon wishlist since last summer and I was miserable watching my kids play soccer in 90 degrees. I think I'll get it soon. Quad chair

Quad chairI was really hoping it was going to have a built-in battery operated fan or cooling system or something. Maybe that is the million-dollar idea to fund our N13 compound.

I do! I have to say the quality is great, but the fit can be hit or miss. Although, that's the case for me with all clothing, so that may not be helpful. Recommend!

Morning busy day at work, but also found plenty of time to research our new getaway 😉. Since Edinburgh is way out of our price range during that period, we’re probably heading to London! I got Dh and I tickets to rufus wainwright for his birthday. Kids had a great day today at my parents and ds apparently loves his substitute teacher. Dh is making dinner. I really needed a day like this!

Morning. I'm dragging this morning. We didn't have a good night. The guest room gets super cold because of the window, so we had the heat up for my ILs, and our room was super hot. I changed M into just a short sleeve onesie after he kept waking because I think he was too warm. He slept better after that, but I still only got like 4-5 hours of broken sleep. We have teeball practice tonight. I'm thinking of having a date night tonight or tomorrow becuase we need it. We've been roomating (not even a word) hard ever since M2 was born and are so disconnected lately. It's work and kids all day every day. It would be nice to be out without the kids for a change. You should get a space heater for that room or just give them some extra blankets.

Ok, so far we’re making it! I got all the kids to school and wore C in the ring sling and went to Landon’s field day. Then we hit the grocery store , and then C and I walked to Rylands school to pick him up. He had a hard time this morning and was crying when I dropped him off but apparently he snapped out of it. Now lunches and nap time for ry (and maybe me?!?!) before I have carpool duty!! And I have a cold beer waiting for me in the fridge for when I get back from getting the kids! dapostrophe yeah, I think it actually worked out well that he went back on a Friday. He bringing home pizza and beer tonight and we can watch a movie and relax. C is actually a pretty great sleeper. She usually goes from about 10-11:00 (depending on when we go to bed) to 2ish and then eats and goes right back sleep and wakes up again around 4 or 5. She sleeps in our bed in the snuggle nest so I just pull her out and we side nurse and doze so sleep is pretty decent. I mean, I’d still love to get more of it, lol, but I can’t complain.

kim22 yaaay for sleep, but ouch to the medical bills... Re outdoor sports: it only gets really hot a few weeks a year in Holland and those are usually during summer break, when sports have their summer break. Do not want to be out on a field during that time. But then again I also hate sport halls and pools 🤷🏼♀️. Re looking like a lobster: I’m quite fair, as are both kids, luckily we don’t burn easily. I’m also team spf50, sun hats and long sleeves . Re taxes your taxes sound really complicated!!! We’re having ours done this years (because of the building deductibles) but normally ours take about half an hour and we get money back, which we normally use for vacation 😬.

FFFC: When I had first my kid with DH, I had no idea what I was doing with sunscreen. Both my oldest and I get really dark in the summer, so I would only ever use it if we were going to be out all day. Even then it was probably the wrong SPF and I'm sure I never used enough. When my first pasty baby came along, he got super pink the first couple times I used my SPF 5 or whatever. So, then I went overboard and bought the highest SPF I could, which was like a paste. I didn't know to rub it in, so he walked around all streaked with white looking like a paper mache project gone wrong, until the first time my H joined us at the pool and told me to rub it in.

Re: sports. It is not uncommon for us to be in the 100 degree range for soccer and baseball season. So hot. Thankfully the kids all got dh’s Hawaiian skin and don’t burn
