I'm on a cooking spree today. I made japchae for our dinner (did a vegetarian version of this recipe) and I just made some chia pudding. I feel like I'm back in my groove, because cooking is normally something I really enjoy but I did not really get any satisfaction from it when I was pregnant b/c half the time I thought what I cooked would make me puke if I ate it. |

I think tomorrow I'd really like to try to put DD2 in the ktan and bake or something. Get things around the house done? Idk. I just am starting to feel really lazy. I did dishes while MH did the bedtime book with the girls.
I'm pretty sure we're hitting a growth spurt though bc she's been nursing SO much today and I'm finally coming out of rock hard boob phase pt 1. Last time this was hard emotionally because DD1 cried endlessly, but I know that it's coming so I'm hopeful it won't catch me that off guard.

I found my new favorite nursing spot! I have a 3pc sectional and I'm nestled right in the corner. I love it. That's my favorite spot too!! |

I posted on the BF board but anyone else have super fussy babies right now? DS has all of a sudden become super fussy at the breast, except for MOTN feeding. But during the day he has cut his feed time in half & screams as he pulls himself off. I burp him & sit him upright & he stops crying...I try to resume nursing & he loses his mind again. He’s still doing adequate diapers & gaining weight but it’s frustrating!

I posted on the BF board but anyone else have super fussy babies right now? DS has all of a sudden become super fussy at the breast, except for MOTN feeding. But during the day he has cut his feed time in half & screams as he pulls himself off. I burp him & sit him upright & he stops crying...I try to resume nursing & he loses his mind again. He’s still doing adequate diapers & gaining weight but it’s frustrating! DS has gone through periods like that. I called the lactation consultants and they advised to do exactly what you're doing - burp, upright time and try again. During those times he would only nurse for a total of 5 min but they said that was ok as long as he was gaining weight. It only lasted a few days (maybe a week?) and then he was back to his 10 min+ feedings. Every now and then if DS is way over tired he does that at bedtime too. |

dragonflyinn L goes though phases of this too. If he doesn’t stop after doing everything mentioned above, I almost think he’s screaming at me to tell me he’s done?!? Who knows babies be cray.

When your babies were new, how did they sleep? I can't remember how to get her to sleep on her own!!

When your babies were new, how did they sleep? I can't remember how to get her to sleep on her own!! We are still doing the same thing now at 10 weeks that we did as a newborn. She lays in the boppy lounger and when she falls asleep I move her to the halo bassinet. Now she’s not a great sleeper so take what we do with a grain of salt. |

sunfrogger I have to swaddle her and walk around the house/bounce and swag until she is asleep, and then I put her in the RnP.

sunfrogger, the "5 Ss are swaddle, suck (paci), side (as in yold them on their side), shhhh (white noise) and swing (swing or rock her). Doing all those at once will get kiddo to sleep. I'm lazy so I swaddle and rock and it works 50% of the time.
