snoopmommymom Ugh that does not sound fun. I manage a small team too, apart from one weak link (she’s leaving in three weeks) they all do great and they’re really easy to work with.

I'm at work. MH actually woke up 15 min earlier than usual & was pissed off the whole time he was helping with the kids. I was actually ready to leave at 7:20 but his car was parked behind mine so I had to wait on him.

After talking to my sitter this morning I decided he really needed to see an ENT. In the last 8 weeks he's been on three 14 day rounds of antibiotics. I called insurance and we don't need a referral so I scheduled an appointment with my sitters ENT after checking that he was in network. She raved about him and how great he was with her son. I'm really impressed with my insurance customer service and the scheduler at the hospital. Sitter told me it normally takes 6 weeks to get in, we go next Wednesday. Everyone was so helpful and kind. Hoping this bodes well for the rest of my day. SO GLAD baby is still cooking wineallthetime. I hope they can make you more comfortable soon.

wineallthetime thinking of you! C screamed for 2 hours last night like he was in pain. I think my meds are bothering his belly. He never does that so I was both concerned for him and greatful that he doesn't always do that because DS1 did that for months. He finally slept, not as good as usual but decent and is sleeping on me now. The 2 middle kids have colds. We are all home for a snow day but it's not bad so far. I realized we had no infant Tylenol in the house so I sent DH out at 6 am to get some just in case.

flamingo Random, but do you get the Grandin Road catalog? They have some beautiful floral prints in this last issue that made me think of you. There are some artisan rugs that are to die for.

Just got it yesterday. So fun to look through. ETA: I’m obsessed with the chinoiserie-style outdoor benches. They don’t really go with the style of our current house, but I’m hoping when we move back to FL we’ll have a spot for one.

Thanks, don't have that either. I usually give the big kids ibuprofen because it was once thought that acetaminophen triggered DD's asthma.

Just sitting with my coffee paging through catalogs this morning. No bad dreams last night, but all the babies came in this early this morning and woke me up to make them paper airplanes.
I am going to attempt to put our room back together today, but man it is a disaster. Sometimes, I think the space is obnoxiously big and just ends up being a place for all our stuff to gather in. Would have much rather seen the square footage used in another way.

cagoldi, how did A make out w the Pom Pom? He did pretty well. He got nervous when it came time to get it out and didn't hold still as well as he could have, but once we were back there it was over with pretty quickly. Apparently Pom poms are a very popular item to shove into your nose among the 3-5 crowd.

I hope the owner of our rental isn't creeped out; I sent him a FB message b/c we got a thing from the city property appraiser's office in the mail for him. I don't really trust the property mgr. to get them their mail in a timely manner so I asked if he'd like for me to send it to him directly.
He just accepted my message request and is responding now. I feel oddly nervous, lol.
I did meet him when he stopped by the house last month to see the new roof and he's really nice so hopefully he won't think I'm a total weirdo.
eta: He was very appreciative and asked if I could send to him directly. Apparently he does not trust his property manager, either.

Are they doing rechecks each time to make sure the first EI cleared before starting him on the next round? If not, sounds like he is developing resistant strains and that would be enough for me to take him. Glad you're getting in so soon.

Glad you're going to the ENT, Peach! Never hurts to at least go see. We did an ENT appointment with C and it was good to have a specialist look at him even though they opted to not do anything.

wineallthetime and cagoldi I was thinking of you ladies and your darlings all night. Glad things worked out okay. Cook a little longer baby wine! dapostrophe, I've been looking at houses a lot lately because for a while I had a wild hair in me about moving (not likely to happen anytime soon--just kind of checking out the market). It drives me crazy how many floorplans waste space. Huge master bedrooms. Our master is pretty big as it is now and I can't imagine ever wanting anything bigger. For what? I don't get the seating areas in the bedrooms. I would never go downstairs, fix tea, carry it upstairs and just sit in my bedroom and stare outdoors and sip tea. Or the landings at the top of the stairs that are oddly large and misshapen but nothing you can do with them. I'm also a big nope to open staircases looking down. I realize my kids won't be little forever, but hell, I could even see a dumb teenager injuring himself trying a stunt. snoopmommymom ugh! Sorry your teams are acting like toddle playgroups. I really can't stand adults who carry on like children. We have a 73 yo doctor here who is the most crotchety old bastard you've ever met. This morning again he was bitching and arguing at our team meeting about a policy that has been in place since the dawn of time. Sometimes it's all I can do to not just snap at him to shut up or retire. Clearly I'm not well cut out to deal with other people's nonsense. I hope they settle down for you and it sounds like your managing as well as anyone could. chrisy01 have things settled down at all at work or is it still tense?

H asked me this morning when we woke up if we are going on a field trip today, lol. Yes, we are to see wedding! Sounds like the roads aren’t super great but it’ll be fine. We’re hanging out this morning and will hit the road after the girls eat lunch. In other news, here’s a picture of the rug (ignore the things on my counter and pdq). The piece of furniture against the wall is a temporary placeholder, the one to replace it won’t be as deep. The table has leaves to extend it to an oval shape. It is also temporary until we can buy one I really like. The rug is as far to the left as it can go without it crossing onto the carpet.

SweetPotato I had a dream about you! My girls were going to be in your very large wedding party (I guess you were remarrying your husband). You picked a really klassy theme of "Red Wedding." It wasn't like the GoT Red Wedding though, but supposed to be like some weird Queen of Hearts thing from Alice in Wonderland. I should have known it was a dream by realizing there's no way you'd commit such a fashion crime.

But the sitter mentioned that he's gotten increasingly whiny. And having tantrums and fits like I've never seen before. So I'm wondering if something more is going on to cause his moods to change like that so fast.

trtlcrzy I see it’s too big, but i love that style! i think if you centred that piece of furniture on the wall and make the table in to an oval maybe it would look better? I’m sure flamingo would have much better advice to give!
