Is anyone getting back into anything yet?
I started back at the gym 2 weeks ago doing 25 minutes of cardio with some weight lifting mixed in. My hips/pelvis is still out of whack so trying to take it slow but also work on core strengthening. I'm only 8w pp but looking for some more activity exercises to add into my workouts as well as some advice on what is recommended at this stage.
Feel free to include eating plans and what not if you want to! Always looking for new recipes to try out

The OB resident suggested I could start resuming my work out at 2w pp.
I laughed at her. I do not know what this working out is that you speak of.
However i might join the gym at work when I go back. Maybe. Not sure.

I struggle with convincing myself not to just take a nap on the mats everyday lol but then I remember that I have a good 40 pounds to lose from the last baby and I want to wear my old clothes again hah

I started last week. 30 minutes of cardio and some weights. I need to get better on my diet though. I have this weird overhang right above my csection scar that I really want to get rid of but I’m trying to take it slow to I don’t burn myself out.

I’m on week 3. I started at 5w pp because I didn’t have any tearing or anything from delivery so I had been feeling fairly normal down there for several weeks at that point. I’m doing a Beachbody program that I did last year to get myself looking good for H’s deployment homecoming. It’s only 22 minutes so that’s great bc I can’t fit in much more than that right now lol. I haven’t lost any lbs since I started (I’m 30 lbs away from pre-preg weight— I gained 60 this pregnancy) but have already lost several inches & feel so much better mentally & physically. Logistically it’s been pretty easy since DD likes to exercise with me & the paci will buy me at least 30 minutes of a happy DS lol. Or I just workout while DD is napping & I put S in the bouncy seat.

dragonflyinn is the program online? We just joined a gym but it would be nice to do some at home workouts the nights that I don’t go.

Yep it’s online & they have an app too so I have it on our Amazon fire tv or stream on my phone if I need to. We pay for “Beachbody On demand” which is $99 (I think) for a whole year & I have access to all their workout programs. So so so worth it for me especially when H is deployed bc I don’t have to worry about trekking to the gym with both kids alone. (Also I’m definitely NOT a BB coach so take this as just my personal opinion lol)

I haven't started any exercise yet unless you count a few walks I have done outside. I am 5.5 PP
For those who had a C-Section, when did you start exercising?

I actually started working out 2 weeks pp after DS1. ::ducks:: I am a fitness instructor and it's hard on me in many ways to not exercise.
I'm 4.5 weeks pp now and taking barre this week on Wed and Thurs. I'm really excited as I've missed it terribly. I've been walking but that's it.
I started a 6 month Diet Bet last Mon to motivate me diet-wise. I fell into some bad eating habits during this pregnancy.

I have done yoga a few times but nothing consistently. I should get on that. I feel I could do most exercise except really bouncy stuff because of the boobs.

I'm starting mom baby yoga this week. I did bikini body mommy after dd1 and will probably do that again. I'm still enjoying all the food but I definitely want to look better this summer so I need to get on that. I am 10 lbs from prepregnancy weight but looking more than 10 lbs flabbier.

The gym is like 5 minutes from my house. You would think I would go pretty frequently. Lol I haven’t been in more than a year. I am 2+ months pp and I haven’t worked out. We have started eating better though so I dropped two pounds last week.

Does anyone follow a paleo/whole30 or keto diet?

A bunch of local women started up a healthy living Facebook group March 1 so we could all check in together and follow exercise challenges together (like those monthly calendars where you start out with small reps and work your way up throughout the month). That’s the extent of my organized workouts right now. Laundry room and extra freezer/fridge storage is in the basement so I do a ton of stairs daily haha 😂

I started walking at 2w PP. Threw some jogging in at 3w PP. Last week (6w pp) I ran three days and did 21day fix videos the other four days. Another beach body on demand user. If you like doing videos at home it is 1000% worth it. So many options.
Just signed up for a 10k on April 21st, I’ll do another 10k in July, and signing up for a half in October!

ajetter is it your first time or do you normally eat that way? I usually eat paleo but had to introduce grains because of gestational diabetes and now I'm having trouble switching back to compliant. Thinking of whole 30 but don't know if it will be too hard right now

I can’t do anything new until 6 weeks pp. I’m already to pre-pregnancy weight (I only gained 11 lbs) but I have toning and diet changes I want to do. I’m planning on yoga and bikini body mommy 7.0 (I did 6.0 right before I got pregnant).

maddisonrose this is the fourth one I’ve done. I generally eat mostly compliant, but during pregnancy and especially right after I fell off the wagon big time. I just decided to commit. Meal prep and leftovers is huge, plus my mom cooks for me regularly. So I have a lot of help right now. It’s tough and can be really time comsuming, but my energy levels are very level and I feel good. I’m not losing any weight which is totally pissing me off though. I’m eating decent sized portions because I don’t want to screw with supply but I was eating so much junk prior you’d think something would happen.
