chriskoo I was pretty confident my second wouldn't be as long, but i thought at least like 10-20 hours, which would be a breeze compared to my prior 87 hours. I was in shock when all was said and done after 4 hours! Lol. Edited because that read like gibberish.

Where do you live (general location/state)? Ontario
What do you do for a living? If you could start over would you do the same thing you're doing now? Office administration. I went to school for child and youth work but didn’t go through with it after graduation. After this LO is born I’ll be staying at home and running a home daycare and my photography business.
Do you have any pets? We like to call it our mini farm... 2 dogs - a German shepherd, a Bernese/shepherd mix, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs and a fish tank.
Favorite vacation you've been on? I’ve been to Disney World 5 times. The most recent time has to be my favourite because we brought DS for his first trip and it was also DH’s first time. Being able to experience it with my own child was amazing, makes it that much more magical.
Hidden talents/unique things about you? I played rugby all through high school.
Favorite book? Harry Potter
Favorite TV shows? Greys, This is Us, Friends
Your favorite thing about yourself? My ability to read people and situations. I can normally tell what people are like without speaking with them very much. I always try give someone a chance but 90% of the time my first judgement is correct.
Fun fact about yourself? DH and I both come from big families. Coincidentally MIL is 1 of 11 - 7 boys and 4 girls and my mom is also 1 of 11 - 7 boys and 4 girls.

Favorite book? I can't pick just one.

Let's tell each other a little about ourselves:
Where do you live (general location/state)? Wisconsin
What do you do for a living? If you could start over would you do the same thing you're doing now? I'm an attorney. I work mostly in family and children's law...but this time of year I prepare taxes because as a small town attorney...you get to do it all. I like what I do, but kind of wish I had gone to nursing school.
Do you have any pets? A six year old chocolate lab!
Favorite vacation you've been on? We took a month long trip to Europe after we graduated from college. It was so much fun! Also, our honeymoon in the PNW.
Favorite book? Oh, man...Harry Potter, Little Women, Bear Town, Empire Falls, all of Pat Conroy... I could go on and on and on.
Favorite TV shows? West Wing, The Good Wife, The Office, Gilmore Girls.

wisco family law was my plan after graduation. I had a soft offer with a group that represented indigent clients in neglect and abuse cases (in a large city). I lived that work, but economic crash and all that ruined everything.

chriskoo iforgot to mention one of the things that I did differently between pregnancies that I really believed helped was chiropractic Care with someone trained in the Webster technique. I had very bad hip pain and went for that, but the Webster technique is supposed to help alone so the baby can get into position better. My first ever fully dropped until labor which is why I labored for 4 days. I went 4 times in the weeks leading up to my due date and it helped!

blurnette989 thank you so much for mentioning that, I’m going to look into it. My first labour wasn’t nearly as long as yours (26 hours) but it wasn’t particularly smooth. I was stuck at 9 cm for 5 hours and ended in a vacuum extraction. While I’m grateful to have avoided a c section I’m very interested in any tips to help this time go a little easier.

I had hip and low back issues my last pregnancy and going to my chiro really helped. I started going at around 26 weeks because I wanted to head off any potential back issues because I have a history of herniated disc and sciatic pain. I can't be 100% sure if the chiro helped, but my baby also stayed in a great position all during my third trimester and I had a smooth, uncomplicated labor and birth (20 hours from first contraction, unmedicated).

I'm so late to this party!
Where do you live (general location/state)? Michigan
What do you do for a living? If you could start over would you do the same thing you're doing now? SAHM - before babies I'd wound up in retail management... I absolutely would NOT do the same thing again! Haha! I have a degree in Economics and Business Administration but graduated at the pit of the economy and never got into any "career type" jobs. I don't think that I would choose that education path again either - it's really not "me". I don't know what I'd study instead though.
Do you have any pets? Just our little chocolate Havanese pup these days.
Favorite vacation you've been on? I loooove lazy, all-inclusive resort beach trips where I can just lay in a beach cabana and float in a sprawling pool allllll day. But Venice may be one of the most amazingly unique places I've been a tourist.
Hidden talents/unique things about you? I like to think I sing decently well.
Favorite book? Not sure. I loved Summer Sisters by Judy Bloom when I was younger, but haven't read that in probably 10-15 years. I didn't read HP until my late 20s, but I really enjoyed them! I flew through the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy. Usually my fav genre is chic-lit, but I feel like I've kinda outgrown that single-girl-dating storyline so now I'm not sure what to read.
Favorite TV shows? How I Met Your Mother, Friends, GOT. We watch a LOT of TV....
Your favorite thing about yourself? Geez, I really don't know.... Is that bad?!
Fun fact about yourself? I lived in Denmark for 4.5 years in my 20s. I did my full undergraduate degree there.
