L is always talking. She loves talking. Most of it is gibberish, singing songs or doing a fake laugh where she bends over and slaps her knee.

C is also very vocal. I always know exactly where she is in the house bc she’s ‘singing’, babbling, etc. B was much more quiet at this age—of course now he never stops chattering and has more than made up for lost time!

cagoldi A was/is way advanced verbally so I don’t know that you can use that as a baseline. I still remember him saying “magnesium” perfectly super young. I had forgotten about that one, but yes! His pronunciation is great for his age and I know X has different aptitudes but I was pretty surprised by the difference. I know I can't start to worry yet but it's hard not to compare them. trtlcrzy I think you made the right decision. I would not be willing to wait until 2.5. Exact same. S was talking long before his day care friends and his pronunciation has always been excellent. It’s very hard not to compare but I have to remind myself that all the time

N doesnt have many words, but j didn't either at 15 months. She has great receptive language though, so am going to hold off worrying.
Exciting pickup, I tried to get j early bc we had to get to the pharmacy by 6 (stupid hours, I need to switch). As I was talking to his teacher a kid tripped over him and he busted his lip on a step of the playground. It stopped bleeding quickly and got an ice pack, but for a bit there we thought we may need stitches. We do have a dentist appt first thing tomorrow, so will have her take a look. He ate dinner just fine, so I think he's ok.
Thankfully mh got to the pharmacy on time... And our ear drops were only $10, so we got lucky or generic or something.
That's about it, just watching new listings pop up on redfin and trying not to plan our life, but MH isn't in any hurry, so it's a useless thought exercise..

DH got a seat on a flight tonight and it's already been canceled. I don't know when he will get back now. Boo!! I hope he gets back soon. Could he fly somewhere close and rent a car to drive the rest of the way? Yes, there are a few people from his company and they are looking to fly to Philly then rent a car although I'm not sure the wind will be much better there.

Oh, S isn’t quiet. She babbles all the time or says her few favorite words. She just doesn’t have a lot of recognizable words. And of the words she has only a handful would be recognized by anyone aside from me.

flamingo, I saw a bunch of Lily glasses when I was picking out new frames. I wanted to get a pair just so I could tell you, but I went with my standard Kate Spade.

Boy moms: HOW DO I GET THEM TO KEEP THEIR PENIS IN THEIR UNDERWEAR? I'm tired of seeing it.. Have you had a talk with them about privacy and boundaries? Due to the perv arrested last week that used to teach at the school we've been doing a lot of that lately.

Hi!!! Don't get mad but I worked 11 1/2 hours but it was super productive. I'm super tired. C left lo's tablet on top of my car last night and I didn't see it this morning. Someone at work found it on the roof and left me a note where they hid it so it wouldn't be stolen. Not only was someone honest and nice but the tablet didn't fly off when I was on the freeway.

I talked to S’s doctor the other day at her appt re: speech. I’d say she has 20 or less words right now. He basically said she didn’t talk much because “she doesn’t have to with big sister around” which I think is a crock. He said we can wait till her 2.5 appt to see how she’s doing then. I was not about it so I called EI this morning and scheduled an appt for 2 weeks from now. This is why my nephew didn't talk for the longest time. His older brother talked constantly, literally, he was never quiet. My younger nephew would just shake his head or say "brother" when you talked to him or asked a question. Once his brother started kinder baby brother had alone time with the babysitter and started talking like crazy. He had all the words in him, he just never had a chance to say them!

Also work has been in quite a few negative news articles. I have a feeling some major drama is coming soon.

Chase kept singing "ashes, ashes, we all fall DOWN!" after dinner tonight. Except the second half really sounds more like "ahl fahll DOWN" but man, he's got the tune down! So funny.

I can’t believe it didn’t fly off on the freeway chrisy01! I know, right!! I should take a picture of the note the person left me. It was pretty amazing that it survived the freeway and didn't get stollen.

This is ds too, we can make him say the hardest words and he’ll use them in the right context very soon. I stopped counting words at 20mo or so. Dd is 21mo, I think she says about 15 words, she can make herself perfectly clear though 😉. ETA her passive/receptive language is amazing though, so I’m not worried.
