I think so too, my sister is pregnant with twins due in September as well, but I'm not inviting her here. She is one of those people that I love but I need to vent about her from time to time. I don't blame you at all. I introduced one IRL friend to TCF, the same friend who is 1 of the only 3 people who know I'm pregnant now. I wouldn't want to share this place with anyone else. Like you said, sometimes you just need to vent and I like having a safe place to do so. Same here! My sister is due Sept 1 (our last two kids were 6 months apart) and I love her dearly and am excited we're going through this together again, and even closer together, but I don't want to share a birth month board with her.

When is your due date? How far along are you? September 14th, 11 weeks, 4 days
How big is baby? A brussel sprout
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Will find out!
Any Upcoming Appointments? I had a physical this week with my family doctor. Next appt is on March 9th for an ultrasound (NT scan).
Symptoms: Exhaustion, nausea and vomiting. I got an Rx for Diclectin and took it last night for the first time. I think it helped with the nausea but I also think it made me more tired.
Milestones: I'm just barely past my loss milestones. Not quite by enough to feel fully comfortable, but I'm starting to relax.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I haven't told work yet. Most of our family knows, and we've started to tell friends as we see them.

She already knows everything anyway! There were a few times I mentioned her in things I was talking about and I always just tagged her in my post so she'd never feel like I was talking about her behind her back.

When is your due date? How far along are you? Changed again but I think it’s finally settled on Sept 18th; 11w
How big is baby? Brussels sprout
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Will find out
Any Upcoming Appointments? Had my intake appointment with the midwives yesterday. It was good. Although she brought up my BMI a lot which was hard to hear. We have our NT scan on the 9th.
Symptoms: My headaches have started. I had them with DS too so I’m not surprised, just hoping they’re short lived.
Milestones:
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? The midwife tried to find the heartbeat with the Doppler but the little bugger kept moving away.

tbirdlove yay for great appointment and us. cheeksmum sorry for the headaches, especially since Tylenol usually doesn't so much. mirabelle only, me, MH, and a close friend from out of town know. We keep saying we are going to tell our families (told them around 6 weeks last time) but it's been really nice to have this "secret" for now.

I tried my home doppler last week at 9w5d knowing it was early and thought I caught the HB for a second once or twice.
Tried again tonight at 10w5d and I was able to catch it and hold on to it this time. Definitely a HB in there! Somewhere in the 160-170 range if my 6 second count extrapolated to a minute was at all accurate.

How big is baby? Key lime
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Pink
Any Upcoming Appointments? March 16
Symptoms: tired, have to eat constantly. Acne.
Milestones: 2nd tri is so close!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? My belly...I look easily 6 months along. It’s kind of insane.
ETA: my point with the belly comment was that we’ve told pretty much everyone now because it’s no longer hide-able. I still have a few close friends I need to text...

cheeksmum, I feel for you, my MW brought up my BMI at my intake and again yesterday. My OB didn't bring it up though, so I'm trying not to stress too much. It's still hard to hear though.

flutterfly88 cheeksmum I’m actually surprised that my doctor hasn’t brought up my BMI yet. I’m starting this pregnancy at my all time heaviest so I know it’s something I have to be careful of. That said, pregnancy is a terrible time to worry too much about weight loss so as long as I don’t gain too much I’m not going to stress about it.

That said, pregnancy is a terrible time to worry too much about weight loss so as long as I don’t gain too much I’m not going to stress about it. I think I've said this before it the best advice I got from a care provider was to focus more on eating avalanched diet than worrying about a number. Based only BMI I'm "supposed" to gain no more than 10 lbs. I gained about 40 in each of my prior pregnancies. My midwife was fine because my weight gain was slow, gradual and based off a mostly healthy diet. So she never pushed me and my body Kitty's weightwithin a couple months after birth.its just how my body pregnants. It is important to pay attention to factors of health, but weight/BMI are not sufficient sole indicators of health.HUGS!

BMI is stupid. Hugs for the feelings it being brought up by care providers is causing.
My body is going to gain what it needs to for the pregnancy and I figure as long as I'm not eating crap food all the time there's not much I can do about it and I try not to worry too much.

Thanks everyone! My GP never mentioned my weight but it seemed to be a lot of where topics branched off to with the midwife. I’m heavier now then I was 9 months pregnant with DS so I was already aware of my weight and I normally eat a pretty balanced diet so I figured I was doing okay. Just put my guard up when she kept bringing it up.

knittyThe email stated 10-14 days to know if I was approved to deliver there. I had to fill out a bunch of paper work first to make sure that medically it is safe and then explain my financial situation. So basically the board determines if I'm eligible to use their services and then also if they can work with my with my financial situation. Last Thursday was when they emailed me so hoping to know in a week. I am also waiting to hear back from Medicaid if I was approved too. I did learn that my old practice is actually the people who are contracted out to do the ultrasounds for the birth center so I'm just going to go ahead and schedule because I will be with either place for sure and they both need dating scans.

I don't know much about it koritto , but maybe the time of year is impacting you? Unless you're in a more Southern state then it's probably not as big a deal. I know low Vit D is much more common in the North/New England this time of year because of the weather.

Nymeria we moved from up north to SC so you would think that helps. I’m guessing extended nursing is probably part of the issue. Quick google search tells me it’s like most other things - can cause low birth weight, bone development issues etc. I’ll be taking the supplement for sure.

koritto I had the same issue in my early blood work. They just had me add in D supplements with my prenatals. We’re all a little deficient his time of year, I suppose...it did make me feel a little better, and I haven’t gotten any colds/flu/strep or anything (D helps immunity).
