Thank You, but forget my whines, how are you doing? I’m ok. Luckily no more contractions since Thursday morning. Emotionally I’m all over the place. Kind of a wreck. I’m exhausted. I know I’m going to be crying in my OBs office on Wednesday and I’m already dreading it. I’m going to have to explain to her about my friend’s loss, so she has context for the insane questions I’m going to be asking. |

I’ve only got one more week of work to go, eek! I’m over feeling so uncomfortable but not ready for baby to come yet. Hope I get a couple of weeks to chill a bit (on the days DS is at daycare) before I have this baby.

Crib mattress has been raised.
2yo daughter is only slightly miffed that it isn’t her bed anymore (of course, she couldn’t have cared less for the past month since she switched beds/rooms... but now it’s got a SHEET and a BABY BLANKET...).
One more piece of art to hang, and the pNp needs to come down from the attic for our room, and newborn cloth diapers need to be fitted into the changing table (SO MANY DIAPERS).
Then I’ll be really ready.

I woke up in a MOOD. Spent all morning cleaning and then grocery shopping. By the time I got home I had to sit down to time legit contractions that have since ceased. J is putting together the bassinet today and rearranging our bedroom furniture.

I had contractions for a few hours last night but they went away. Prodromal labour is lame. I’m also really annoyed at MH because his idea of ‘clean’ is not on par with mine and I’m tired of doing everything. I’m tired of being so stressed all the time gahhhh.

We got 8 more inches of snow and I worked this morning. Dd1 is being awful so I sent her for a nap. So fine with the attitude. I have stuff I need to do and no motivation to do it. Plus I’m sore and tired. Bah. Bad combo.

Impromptu visit to the city to see my cousin who is unexpectedly in town for a gig tonight - bringing the kids. Wish me luck! My daughter gets carsick and I just hate traveling with them both, even 45 minutes.

We had Mh's friends over for dinner last night and they brought gifts for the baby. One of them made a really cute diaper cake and we got a bunch of diapers and onesies for the baby. They also brought DD a gift which was nice because she got a little jealous. She is very excited for her baby sister but I'm anxious to see how it's going to go once she's actually here.

Good luck ovenrack! We are on our way to visit the in laws and they live an hour away. Which is not good for my bladder because I constantly need to pee. |

We are in the home stretch now where all my prep is done and bags are packed, but we have no plans for the weekends because it's so close. So this weekend was super awesome. I went to the gym, sat on the couch with tea, played board games with DS, watched Olympic replays, and today I went and sat in a coffee shop with a friend for TWO HOURS.
I DONT EVEN RECOGNIZE MYSELF. WHOSE LIFE IS THIS.

ovenrack , How old is your daughter? Mine gets carsick when we go on long car rides and I give her kids dramamine. She just turned two! How old is yours? The pedi didn't recommend it until two, but I haven't tried it yet. For her, she pukes on anything over 20 minutes or so. Which feels like it would become really easy to give her dramamine... a lot. Though my current solution is never going anywhere. Which sucks. Does it work for you? |

We drive between TN and VA a lot, and it’s a 16 hour car ride. Driving through the mountains is pretty much the only time that I’ve had a problem with car sickness, but giving her half a tablet really helps. I’m sorry yours gets sick on such short rides.  |
