@unicorn, thank you! The agent called me last night & told me not to dress bc we have 30 days from April 30 (our closing) so essentially we can buy another month of time. It helps, but I think I have to have a frank conversation with her about. She keeps sending me things that don't fit my criteria or are in different parts of the state. @yummee, yes, new construction would absolutely be an option, but time is not on our side. If we decide to rent for a year, I think new construction would be one of the front runners.

guster have you considered a new agent? My sister is working with one now (same one we and our extended family have all used) and she is SO proactive...and my sister and BIL won’t even be down in FL to look at homes til late March. I can’t imagine her screwing around for a week if we had wanted to see a house. With that said, it’s still very early in the real estate season so I do agree with predictions that more inventory will be going live in the next few weeks. I know y’all are in a time crunch but hang in there Yes, I have. I didn't know what area I was looking for when we started this process so Westchester was still in the running. Now that were set on Connecticut, these agents don't have much experience with the process there, nor do they know the area well. On my to do list today is to see if contract I signed ties me to her or not. If it doesn't, I will continue to talk with her up & through the weekend and even go out to see homes on Sunday as planned and then I can use that as a reason to cut ties.

Morning. H finally has preschool this afternoon. I plan to do some cleaning while S naps. Then tonight I picked up a shift in the ER because someone called in sick, 8-12. We are supposed to get up to 3 in of snow today so DH wasn’t sure if he’d be home at supper time. I need to get some ingredients for my chicken cordon Bleu still too.

Oh, I was also thinking guster is there something your DH is doing in the morning that wakes C up? I feel like there has to be something different on the days he’s home vs going to work.

I think its the alarms-- MH at 5 and mine ten minutes later. They're super quiet but he must hear us from down the hall.

Morning Ladies. I stayed home form the gym today to pick up the house a bit. SIL is coming to visit (and bring lunch!) and my BFF is coming over later to go to dinner. Can't wait!
I did the first coat of paint on the bathroom cabinet last night and it's looking a million times better already. I'm glad you guys lit a fire under me to do something. I might actually not hate going in there to brush my teeth pretty soon here.

guster I'm sorry...I hate having that kind of pressure for big decisions. House stuff is so hard as it is. Sounds like you have some options, and sometimes things pop up and move quickly, you never know. Hang in there! cagoldi Blood draws for 2 kids sounds terrible, sending you the best of luck it goes relatively smoothly xolastunicornxo Great news! What a relief.

xolastunicornxo Great news! yummeecookee where are y'all heading on vacation? Somewhere warm, I'm assuming? Hi! Just doing some housekeeping-type stuff; I signed up to consign stuff in a big sale coming up so I am trying to get organized for that. Can't wait to have some closet space back! Meanwhile my MIL is emailing me asking for gift ideas for my H's birthday, which is in a couple weeks. Apparently she's asked him but he has not given her much to work with. We did this exact same dance last year: I sent her ideas with links, and she went rogue and got him something odd/random that he ended up returning. Sooooo I'm not overly enthusiastic about sitting down to online 'shop'.

cagoldi, is there a way to separate them while getting it done? I feel like if Cadence saw someone else, let alone a sibling, get blood drawn that she would refuse to participate when it was her turn. That's a good idea, thanks. I think Dude will be okay, so maybe he should go first. If he sees X melting down he might freak out.

Now I hate needles but I looked at him and said it hurt a little but it was all ok. I didn't realize how much they were taking so much so he was confused when they only took 1 vile from him.

@yummeecokee because he is lazy and thought he was going to have to tie them. I asked if he didn't know how to tie shoes or something and he shut up real quick.

I know y’all are in a time crunch but hang in there +1 I am not impressed with your realtor. I texted mine at 2pm about a house and we were there at 6pk that night. Around here houses list on Thursday and there are quite a few new ones today..and we are just getting into spring. Lots of people wait until March/April bc of schools. I'd hold out hope.. but I feel you, I watch interest rates going up and get sad as our budget shrinks each week. EtA: since you are buying in an area 45 min away, I would look for an agent that specializes in that town. The networking is really important to get heads up on houses ahead of time and that can provide guidance. Otherwise I'd just go with a redfin agent and get the rebate. Hopefully you can cancel your contract!

Now I hate needles but I looked at him and said it hurt a little but it was all ok. I didn't realize how much they were taking so much so he was confused when they only took 1 vile from him. I think when they did mine, they had to look for deficiencies with all antibodies. Since we now know mine is specific to IGG, and not a combined deficiency, they should be able to just get enough for that? IDK if they're even going about this the right way, but I guess we'll find out. According to my Immunologist they have to do a pneumonia vaccine, draw to get a baseline, then draw again in exactly four weeks to see how well they manufactured antibodies in response. So far I've heard no mention of them getting a vaccine today, just a draw, but I guess I'll know when we get there.

guster I get your frustrations. That was the good thing about my mom being our buyers agent, I was brutally honest with her, as was my husband. She said that's how all buyers should feel. Are you under contract with your current agent? Would you consider Doing friends for suggestions and switching? I was so anal when we looked, I made a spreadsheet of all the houses I wanted to see, their locations and price, she scheduled us to view them all within a few days, all within the same weekend.

X threw up, slipped in it, and woke up Dude so everyone is grouchy. Including me.
I'm feeling so overwhelmed this week. My sanity is hanging by a thread. I don't know how people continue working when they have three kids. I get a lot of help from my mom and I'm still barely treading water.
Grumble, grumble, grumble.
