Sooo jealous of y'all with good weather today. It's pouring here and supposed to rain for the next 6 days straight.

DD has finally pooped! It took almost 72 hrs but she pooped without our intervention during her lunchtime bottle. Fingers crossed we don't have to go through that again!

Not only does J fight daytime sleep, he also will only sleep while being held. I have tried the crib, the swing and the RNP. Anyone else dealing with this right now? Any suggestions to not have all day sleep in my arms? (Thankfully night sleep is in his crib!) I don't have great advice but I usually let baby fall asleep in my arms and then try to transfer. It works about half the time. I transfer him a lot onto the Boppy Lounger and put him on his side. He really doesn't like back sleeping. I feel fine doing this during the day when I'm right by him and can constantly check on him.

When I try to transfer to the crib or RNP, I make sure he is asleep. As soon as he is it the crib or RNP, he wakes right up. I love the baby snuggles but it would be nice to have him sleep elsewhere for part of that day so I can get somethings done

It’s noisy Tuesday over here. The landscapes blow all day here. I am putting the big down for nap and then I need to clean the first floor. Hopefully L will stay sleeping for at least an hour so I can get some stuff done.
ETA: didn’t finish.

It’s funny bc in the NICU they let him sleep every which way with pillows all that Jazz.

I’m hanging at the hospital doing the NST and I’m definitely stuck here overnight because I’m only dilated 2, oh well.
It’s fine, except there is a toddler on the floor somewhere sobbing and calling for her mom. I just said goodbye to my son for the last time as an only child a couple hours ago and I’m way too hormonal to be listening to this right now.

It was 70 degrees here in central Ohio today so Faith and I took a nice stroll do the park and back and it was wonderful. We were a little off schedule last night but she was sound asleep at midnight and I didn't want to wake her up to feed her, she had last eaten at 9 and she slept until 2 which was longer than I expected. The downside is that she also woke up an "extra" time so I felt really tired this morning and every time I tried to nap she decided to wake up and be fussy UNLESS she was on my chest. So of course I gave in because I wanted some sleep. Oh well...
In-laws are coming this weekend for a visit and I suspect they want to take us out for dinner one night to celebrate my birthday (Feb 8) and MIL's birthday (today). Part of me wants to go because they will pay for it but I also am hesitant to take the baby out to a crowded restaurant where people might be sick.

It’s gorgeous out here today, supposed to be even warmer tomorrow but I’m being induced in the morning so won’t be able to enjoy it. I am at the park right now with DS, then we’re going to get him a slush because he keeps mentioning them. I figure why not one last treat before his world changes a lot! Debating on getting something myself although I technically shouldn’t because I still have GD until this baby comes out.... goodluck tomorrow!!

They were snuggled in our bodies all tight and curled up and then we just lay them down on their backs. C loves sleeping in the wrap on me or on his side on the Boppy lounger best.

Unfortunately we can’t buy new because it’s just too expensive. We bought used. It’s a 2010 Town & Country Touring. It’s in amazing condition. I’m an ideal world I would be getting a brand new Pacifica but that’s not in the budget right now.

pippiann remind me when your lo was born? I’m trying to figure out when I should try transitioning them from their swaddles. I know they’re close to the actual age DS1 was but since they’re only going on five weeks adjusted.... 🤔

But he is starting to move himself all around the crib while swaddles on his back. But st the same time he still has his startle reflex so I’m kinda 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

I have been so dead set against a minivan. I feel so frumpy driving it. But the convenience of it has been really appealing to me lately. I might have to consider leasing one next year when my current lease is up for a few years and then going back to my cute SUV when the kids are a little older and I’m not getting them in and out of car seats a million times a day

It will be sooo much easier getting them both out. It also has a DVD player to entertain G if we go on a long ride. She is actually a really chill kid in the car so it’s probably not necessary but ya never know.

Minivan people!?" but I'm so over that. Can't wait for all of the conveniences of it!!!
