RunsforWineandCarbs I’m sorry about drop off. Hopefully the hard part will be over soon. Is this a bad time to tell you that Pilates (what you have tomorrow) is probably the hardest? At least it was for me. You will feel it in your butt. Did you end up getting the shakeology too?

jedi, i do have the shakeology - i'm drinking the whole kool-aid package for this challenge. I will cancel my order though this week - too freaking expensive. Lunges were my nemesis today. My left ankle hurts when i do them. Not to mention I am still super sore from full body cardio, my butt and thighs hurt bad! so it was tough. I have 2 choices for today and tomorrow; i went with the normal choice, lower body instead of barre - tomorrow i will follow this by going with the pilates. Next week I will do barre and flat abs to mix things up a bit. But thank you, I am now scared....

Pizzaslut and shellyr, I forgot to respond earlier. I felt a bit more grumpy/complainy during the 2nd as well. And that is just fine if that is how you are feeling. You have a toddler to take care of this time - not just yourself. Pregnancy drains you to begin with and then throw in a 2 yo full of energy and you are bound to be exhausted and cranky. Try to fit in time for yourself - a pedicure, a movie, or whatever. But don't hate on yourself for not being as perky this pregnancy - it's not the same pregnancy as your first and your home lives are way different now! Take it one day at a time and focus on what you need to accomplish for that day.

Betweenthelines, how are the kiddos today? how did the first day at the new center go for DD yesterday?

I went to the bathroom and thought I could smell gas or spray paint - definitely an odd smell. I stuck my head outside and realized I couldn't smell anything there. So I went to our furnace room and the odor is STRONG. Just opened a window in the area I am working, but seriously... that room is so full of stuff that even getting back to the tank is going to take time/work and I don't know that anyone will be able to do it by themselves without multiple breaks. Of course, i had just started laundry - I guess I won't be drying any clothes today.

Betweenthelines , how are the kiddos today? how did the first day at the new center go for DD yesterday? Everyone has been sent to school today. Woohoo! DD loved it. MIL's center just got all new playgrounds built so she was super excited that she got to go outside 2x and play on them. But the meltdowns that ensued after she got home weren't so much fun. Chick was so exhausted. DS is already loving it. His teacher sent me a video message from him and some photos and he is having a blast. They work really hard in the room he's in now with potty training, so I'm excited for him to get moving on that too.

RunsforWineandCarbs, Sorry about the rough drop off. That's so hard. I hope the teachers can give them some extra TLC as they adjust. Betweenthelines, Glad to hear the new center is going well. You need something to go your way!

Day 3 of kitchen renovation. Things are going okay with the exception that DS is not handling this well. I didn't realize how hard it would be for him to have the house disrupted and under construction. He melted down yesterday when I dropped him off at preschool and again in the afternoon when I left for work, not wanting to separate. That's not typical for him. He's also just been grumpy and uncooperative. Hopefully this settles down over time because the contractor is telling us to plan for 4-6 weeks before this is done.

So i haven't said much about the shooting last week. But after a back and forth with an old high school "friend" on facebook last night I want to share. {This is my rant. }I have a girlfriend who works for Broward County Schools - which is the county where the shooting took place. She is not a teacher at this school. But she is very good friends with Chris Hixon (he was a co worker of hers at one point). He is the athletic director who drove towards the gunman and put himself in the line of fire to save those students; sadly he did not survive.
Fast forward to last night when this "friend" started posting crap about how this shooting was faked, all those students are actors and no one really died. He is drinking the wrong kool-aid. He also is posting videos that have clearly been edited to reflect what the conspiracy theorist wants it too. I about lost my shit on him last night.
AND MY coworker has been friends with one of the arresting officers for over 10 years. This officer was one of the cops you see leading the shooter into a police car. He stayed with the shooter overnight in the jail.
I guess my rant is I am pissed that there are idiots out there blasting social media with reports that this is fake. With no regards to the victims families and friends. Or the survivors who are dealing with pts right now. I have unfriended this guy but first I posted the newest article on his wall about the person who started the conspiracy theory of child actors and fake shooting and how he was determined to be lying, had no hard evidence to back up his claims and ultimately lost his job. That is my rant. I had to get it off my chest.

RunsforWineandCarbs how terrible. There are no words. Some people claimed that about sandy hook. That equally pissed me off. There was a mom in s1 bmb (I didn’t know her well) whose daughter went to Sunday school with one of the victims. There shootings are so terrifying. When I volunteered in s1 class last week I couldn’t help but think about where they would hide and how I didn’t know if his classroom being right by a locked exit was a good or bad thing.

DS1 just said "change my poo-poo; it's really stinky" and I just put away several 0-3 month sleepers that are too small for DS2.

Got the furnace leak fixed today. I am not looking forward to shutting windows and running the furnace tonight. Also, I am having some minor side effects of breathing it in all day. I want Spring to be here full time.

Your abs and ass must be stronger than mine. Great work! My favorite is dirty 30 which I think is the Saturday workout.

Board meeting for moms club. One mom can’t make it. I am so tired of that. It was rare when I was on the board last year for people to miss
I have my self care class for parents tonight. It as pretty incredible last week. Lots of tears and people opening up. I felt less stress this week. So I’m looking forward to tonight.

11 days overdue. This is getting ridiculous.
I have an NST/BPP this morning, and then this evening I will be getting a gel insertion to see if we can't get the old cervix to do it's thing. I really hope that does the trick because I don't want to wait until Sunday for an induction.

@girlonanbike, I almost made a thread for you because I thought today was baby day.
I’m so sorry. I’ve been 11days over and it was fucking terrible.
Actually, literally this time 5 years ago, now that I think of it

Nope, no signs. Only the odd contraction here and there, nothing steady. I have no idea if I'm dilated/effaced because my midwives don't do internal checks.

Back from the hospital--gel has been inserted and I'm 5cm dilated. Midwife almost didn't want to let me go. But since they can't do anything for 6 hours after the gel insertion, and I wasn't having noticeable contractions, she let us go. We went out for dinner, and now it's time to play the waiting game. Gonna take a nice warm bath & go to bed. It hurts to stand or walk.
