My last day of work today, one way or another! I have an OB appt today where they will let me schedule an induction for next week. An induction is not my ideal way to go, but I’m looking forward to having a finish line.

snowyowl I didn't think I wanted an induction but mine went great, if that helps you feel better!

So DD had a better night overall but I woke up with a slightly sore throat. So I’m over here just willing myself to not get sick.

We had a great night! We were in bed by 10 (toddler stays toddlerin') and then V woke at 12:30 and 4:30 to eat and that was it. I woke at 7. It was a little warmer in the house last night so I think that helps and she is sleeping really well with the swaddleme!

Today we have parent teacher conferences for the toddler. I'm so looking forward to hearing about how she's regressed and is grabbing and pulling hair to get attention since we had a baby. 😒😒😒

I'm pumping and can hear DH whisking something in the kitchen. He's making us breakfast before the toddler wakes up! I love this man.

Good morning ladies! We are up and dressed. Breakfast has been made an eaten. I feel better than I did yesterday but I’m still not totally recovered. If MH comes home right after work and doesn’t do overtime, I will call my dr. If not, I may go to urgent care. That is if I don’t feel better by then.

Good morning and happy Friday! We got a decent night of sleep last night. The baby woke twice as did the toddler. Oh well, I still feel more refreshed than I have all week.
Today is my friend's birthday so I am taking her out to lunch! We also have a hip ultrasound for DD since she was breech so long. Then I am hoping to do some laundry since tomorrow is my day solo with the kids and nothing productive will get done.

Morning! I’m still cuddling in bed with baby - my mom is upstairs playing with DS1. My babysitter is taking him to MyGym this morning. It’s DH’s bday so picking up an ice cream cake for him this afternoon and cooking his favorite meal.

marygracerich baby smiles are the best!!! So cute. I hope everyone is feeling well soon. I think my house is finally crawling out of the fever/cold zone. DD2’s cough/asthma still sounds rough but she feels fine. We’re having friends over for dinner tomorrow evening so I’m hoping baby will nap in the RnP so I can clean. I’ve tried to put her down once already and she lasted five minutes. DD2 and 3 will be home from preschool in two hours, I’m on the clock!! 😜

I have to give a shout out to all the curly and/or thin haired ladies who helped me out with DD1!! This week she switched to a silk pillowcase, I started using a different leave in conditioner, I’ve been putting her hair up in a high pony at bedtime, and last night she used the shea moisture shampoo for the first time. For one, her hair has been much curlier, and for 2, I forgot to put her hair in a ponytail last night because H put her to bed, and her frizz today is SO much more relaxed than normal! It won’t be near as hard to get through. THANK YOU ALL!!

I have been underemployed for the last year and have always toyed with the idea of going back to school. Being a SAHM is not for me so I am considering it heavily again. It's okay to not know what you want to be when you grow up when you're 30, right??

It's okay to not know what you want to be when you grow up when you're 30, right?? I would have never guessed HR would interest me so much. I've used my experiences to help me figure out what I do - and don't - want to do. I'll be 30 this year so I'm right with you! And I JUST started my graduate degree last year. I'll have my MBA by Christmas. I also really recently realized SAHM, if it were an option for us, isn't for me. So I feel you there.

It's okay to not know what you want to be when you grow up when you're 30, right?? I’m 33. I work part time for a greeting card company. I didn’t finish my degree when I started it because I had life stuff get in my way. Now I don’t want to do what I started to get my degree in. Now that I am for sure done having babies, I want to go back to school when they start school full time. By then I should have a better idea of what I want to do and have the time to do it. That will be at least 5 years from now. I don’t mind being a SAHM for the most part. I only work like 10 hours a week so I am close to being a SAHM. I work to get out of the house and for pocket money.

A coworker is bringing me lunch in a bit and will be filling me in on the work gossip while she is here.
Faith is starting to have a rash/baby acne on her face, behind one ear and a little on her chest. I called the doctor's office and I have an appointment at 3:10 this afternoon. I'm almost certain it is baby acne, but the redness "rash" part concerns me.
We also had a pretty good night. Last feeding at 11:00, in bed by midnight, up at 3:30 and then she slept until almost 8. I pulled her into bed with me and nursed her while I dozed off. She ended up nursing for two hours, but most of that was "pacifier" sucking. She then had 3 oz of formula and a sponge bath since we will have visitors today.
Even after a good night I'm drained. Three weeks of interrupted sleep is starting to get to me. I'm tempted to see if DH can take the middle of the night feeding tonight, nursing be damned... Just one full night of sleep is all I ask...

aprilz81 Ian had a rash that sounds similar to what you are describing. It started like baby acne on his face but it spread to his chest and his back. My pedi said that baby acne doesn’t often travel to other parts of the body but it’s probably just because baby’s skin is so sensitive. He told me to put fragrance free lotion on it. Sure enough it is almost gone. Even on his face. I hope it’s something so simple for you too!

I haven't used any lotion on her face and have been using Aveeno Baby bath soap (may have a mild fragrance). I've used the Aveeno Baby lotion on her body (lavender and vanilla scented) but that isn't where the rash is concentrated. I'm using fragrance/dye free detergent and fabric softener. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm glad that Ian's rash is going away quick!

You guysss ❤️ I have the best IRL friends. Three of them have been running all over town checking all the grocery stores & pharmacies for a flu preventative for me to take. It’s sold out in most of the grocery stores so they have each been to like three stores looking for it & one of them just found it and is on her way to my house right now 🙌🏼 These are all mamas with toddlers+ deployed husbands too.

Also— DS has decided he hates the PNP. Napping in arms is all he wants. Probably bc he has been by himself the past few days. DD is napping now and I just want to lay down so I’m praying he will keep sleeping in there too.

::crawls out of a hole::
It’s Friday?! All days seem to run together these days, but I remember that when DD1 was a baby. We are mostly adjusted at home. DD2 had her checkup yesterday and she’s back up to her birth weight already. Girl likes to eat. And sleep. Still trying to get a routine down, but we’ve only been home for a few days. DD1 is obsessed with her new sister.
BFing has been challenging. She has a tongue tie and only gets like half my nipple in her mouth. So both nipples are now cracked, scabbed over and bloody and I cannot pump enough to keep up with how much she eats (about 3oz a feed). So we’ve been supplementing with formula.
Hope everyone is doing well! Happy Friday!

Otherwise she had just been using whatever kids shampoo I bought usually whatever was on sale haha. That works fine for my short and thick haired DS, but it didn’t even really occur to me she would benefit some a different shampoo! And I’ve cut it down to washing her hair only like twice a week. Do you have another suggestion? Amazon had to ship me the Shea Moisture kids stuff in from the States but I did want to give it a try, but it took awhile to get here. I’ll probably be keeping my eyes open for something I can buy local or using Prime so it wouldn’t take so long!

N’s basically been living in the Ktan the last few days especially since getting sick.I’m hoping I can get her back into the RNP a little bit anyway soon just to get a bit of a break!
