WWN13 do? I'm trying to decide whether to stay home with the kids tomorrow or send them to daycare. H is snotty (like always) and has no fever today. M has a bit of a cough and no fever today. Would you send them or keep them home one more day? I would send them. Over 24 hr being fever free. A bit of a cough and snotty is unfortunate baseline for a lot of kids during the winter.

peachsmama that's bad but not in the league of horrible names that really stand out to me. At least the double Ds will be hidden in a middle name? I will never understand the logic that effing up the spelling of a common name somehow makes it unique. You still say it the same--it just makes it look like the parents can't spell. The other day Cass was telling me about a kid named "Kalix" from her playgroup. I thought she was mispronouncing the name and it was really Caleb, or Alex, or Kayla. Nope. It was Kalix. (Pronounced like letter K followed by "licks".)

I normally agree with this but weren’t they both diagnosed with the flu? The wait for being non-contagious with the flu is longer than just a regular day care cold.

H wasn't diagnosed but he got a fever the same day M was diagnosed. What's the wait period for the flu? She was diagnosed Tuesday. Yesterday both of their temps were 99-99.2 and they woke up without fevers.

Current criteria for returning to work Workers who have become ill with influenza should stay at home until all of the following criteria are met:
At least 5 days have passed since the symptoms of illness began; AND Fever has resolved and has not been present for at least 24 hours; AND Cough is improving (decreasing in frequency and amount of secretions with no associated chest discomfort or shortness of breath)

So I'm trying to entice Cadence to walk on her heels. She is getting better at it, but she is still up on her toes a lot. So I've done a little research on best shoes blah blah blah. Long story short: how hideous are these? I hate busy shoes, but I know she will probably like them. They light up, but only if you step on your heel and since they are hightops if she goes up on her toes it will kind of dig into the back of her ankle, basically being uncomfortable enough that her stubborn butt should put her foot down. www.zappos.com/p/skechers-kids-twinkle-toes-shuffles-10776l-lights-little-kid-big-kid-black-multi/product/8875147/color/1415

cagoldi I bought the matte shape tape foundation online and hated it, it settled into my fine lines immediately. I was going to exchange it for the hydrating one but they were out. I ended up with dry shampoo and chapstick, both of which I needed. I’m going to order the foundation online, probably. I’m sorry your grandma isn’t doing well also. tgrimes since it’s Friday I’d just keep them home, that way they have 3 more days to get better before returning to school.

S was a holy terror after H left with MIL. She screamed in my face for like 15 minutes after they left. Then I got her calmed down enough so that I could get ready. She’s wearing her new Moana shirt today and was very very upset I made her wear a coat and cover up Moana so she screamed all the way to Ulta. H is at school, and S is napping. I am enjoying the silence for a little while before it all starts up again. S is getting another molar so that’s probably why she’s been so crabby today.

peachsmama I am not a fan of the name, but I read it as like Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad, not the motorcycle. Still just as weird. I'm not sure I'd try to talk her out of it, or to spell it differently. You might just offend her, which isn't your intention. Seems like when a parent decides on a name, they are set on it and there is no point discussing, that could lead to a change.

Like A's cousin spelled it that way, but because they planned to called her Maddie. And thought it was weird for the NN and actual name to have different letter. IDK.

PSA for anyone that is looking into buying a double stroller: amazon has the city select on a super good sale right now. This is the stroller I have and love, and highly recommend.

trtlcrzy New Lilly swimwear is super cute, in case you were wondering! They used to sell it, and then stopped for a few years, so I'm glad it's back. Back from errands and I may need a glass of wine, but we got everything accomplished that I needed to and the kids were good. We got C some cute Cat & Jack rainboots at Target and I just ordered B some by Hatley to match his raincoat. No one really wears them down home but I guess they're a thing up here. Heaven forbid the baby flamingos not be appropriately attired for all seasons/weather/occasions/eventualities ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I think I'm going to order C a raincoat from Gymboree and they'll be set. Crap: B just asked about the "PJ Mask" puzzle that came with one of his valentines. I quickly distracted him with an offer to play Hi Ho Cheerio and promised we'd find the puzzle later. I threw it away yesterday.

Speaking of bad names, there is a little girl in S new class named Isis. A 4 year old. So it's not like the meaning was not well known when she was named.
