This baby is clearly totally comfortable where he is. Not that I think having a newborn and a 20 month old will be easier... but I’m 100% over the massively pregnant with a toddler stage and ready to move on. My OBs office doesn’t induce until 41 weeks minimum. I know that’s reasonable and it’s totally possible I’ll have the baby before that, but the 22nd feels very far away right now.

It’s a mostly solo day for me. MH is at work until 5 but he will be home for his lunch break. G and I are watching the Lion King. Little man is hanging out next to us. I managed to do a load of laundry but that’s just about it so far.

Happy Saturday!
My ILs are coming over later this afternoon to take DD out to an indoor play place so she can burn some energy. I plan on doing lots of resting today! I’m still losing my mucus plug. No contractions, but tons of pressure. Sleeping last night was rough, but I know either way, we’ll be on our way to the hospital tomorrow around 6pm. 😬

I’m watching DS have a very elaborate fake tantrum. Carefully arranged himself on the floor, flailing and pretend crying for a bit, check to see if I’m watching, grab a drink, find new floor position, more flailing, fling himself against the couch and sliding down dramatically... he’s really going all out.

DH took DD1 to open gym, then he and DD2 are running errands. DD3 is still running a temp so we’re at home along with DD4. DD2 has a birthday party to go to at 2pm, so I’m hoping I can manage to get showered and ready by then. I have just under 4 hours, and I’m still unsure if I can make it happen. Lol. Our Girl Scout troop was supposed to hold a cookie booth this afternoon, but who I like to call Girl Scout dad (he takes care of cookies and our finances) was deployed somewhere for a month, it’s supposed to be less than 20 degrees, and my ass is not standing out there for two hours. So I canceled. 🤷🏼♀️

It is my first day solo with all three kids. I ran upstairs to start a load of laundry and came down to my older two "giving the baby medicine" and vitamin D drops everywhere 🤦🤦 FML

On the bright side though my neighbor was nice enough to snowblow my driveway. Thank goodness for kind neighbors.

My husband worked for a few hours this morning, DS and I hung out and filled out his valentines for his first valentines party at preschool, he’s super excited! I’m now getting a pedicure while my husband hangs with DS. This is my first pedicure since October and it feels good to be pampered. After DS has a nap we will go out for dinner. Tomorrow is supposed to rain so we probably won’t do much. Only have a few more baby things to do, but we’re mostly ready.

Brag alert. I have to do it, I can’t help myself, things were really bad here for a few days.
My baby got her act together and slept from 11-2:30 and then 3:15-7:30. The past two nights were a million wake ups with me legit feeding her 6 times between 12-7 so this is glorious. I feel like I could conquer the world. This means wine tonight!!

How long do you try and burp your baby before you give up?

I also really feel for everyone that’s still pg. I was thinking about it yesterday and I didn’t realize at the time how awful this particular pregnancy was on me. I felt terrible all the time and it was harder getting through the days sometimes than now in the newborn phase.
Hope the next round of babies gets here soon!

This is me exactly and I was wondering if I should be more dedicated and persistent. Usually I’m like pat, pat, pat, rub, rub, rub, repeat, nothing? F it.

How long do you try and burp your baby before you give up? I rarely actually burp her. She usually passes out on the boob and I am not one to mess with a good thing!

I know it’s not for everyone, but I am obsessed with the Owlet. I can let C sleep by me and not freak out. It is amazing seeing his heart rate and oxygen level in real time. Last night he slept by me from 10:30-1:30, in the RNP from 2-5, and then by me again from 5:30-8:45.

Still pregnant. DD1 and I went to swim group this morning and she came home and napped. My mom surprised me and asked if she could take her out to lunch & play. YES, please!
My midwife confirmed this week that I have what she refers to as “taser legs” shooting random pain in my upper inner thighs. Mostly from baby moving down and applying pressure. Holy heck they hurt.
I’m sitting on the couch in the house alone. So nice!

H and I are just working on my to do list for the house. It’s odd without DS here. H still thinks baby could be here this weekend and would prefer it so he doesn’t have to race from work to the hospital. Besides low pressure my contractions aren’t steady though.

My sister and her wife took DS for me for a few hours yesterday so I could go to my OB and run some errands. SIL woke up this morning with what is almost certainly the flu. I could tell she was getting a little sniffly last night and we joked about her coughing on me, but it never occurred to me that it wasn’t just the sniffles. They are also living with my parents right now before moving to a new place in a couple months, and that’s where DS is supposed to go when I go into labor. I’m kind of at an 11 right now... trying and failing not to spiral on things that haven’t happened yet. But if pretty much anyone else gets it, it’s the worst timing.

Ok. Took some deep breaths. It’s the flu, not the Black Plague. Plus, upside, I am now much less impatient to go into labor!

DD1 requested a pajama day so this has pretty much been our day. Pajamas, popcorn, and movies.

We are also having a pajama day .... but DD (4) is also doing a bowel cleanout due to frequent constipation. Fun times.

snowyowl Ds was throwing up last night and my parents took him so that hopefully h and I don’t get it before the baby comes. Now I’m worried about my parents getting it because they are our childcare while I’m in labor. Trust me I had a freak out too.

DH is sick and puking so I'm basically on my own. I don't know how you guys do it (wrangle a toddler and infant solo). I'm also afraid we will all get what he has.
