Inspired by the second book thread that started from the first one (it’s like book thread inception):
What are your guilty pleasure/embarrassing book loves?
You know it’s wrong, but you don’t want to be right.

Time Traveler’s Wife
The Hunger Game series
And I can’t say I LOVED them, but I was definitely on the Twilight bandwagon in the peak. It was all in good fun, I swear.

My mother-in-law loaned me a copy of a Jodi Picoult book (TOTALLY not my usual style) called Handle with Care and I loved it. Cried when it was over.

Jane Green books. It is modern day fairytale chic lit, but done so poorly.
They are fantastically awful and I read several.

ALso, Chasing Harry Winston.
I went through a chic lit phase when I lived in NYC and wanted that Sex and the City life. Meanwhile, I was having peanut m&ms for dinner cause that is all I could afford.

I also enjoyed The Hunger Games and can easily read Twilight without rolling my eyes too much. They're quick and fairly mindless reads, so I grab one if I'm bored.
FFWC: I enjoy reading erotic short stories and have found some interesting ones through the Cosmo book suggestions. 😂

Ok, here is a doozy...The Kadin by Beatrice Small. It’s so fantastical over the top. Just unreal.

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. I read it as a teenager and didn't see the problems, as an adult I cringe but read it anyhow ;-)
And there's a series of "Ghost mother in law" books set in a place called MudBug that are embarrassing in a different way, yet highly enjoyable.

At one time I got really into a Beverly Lewis’ Amish series. I’m embarrassed because they were so cheesy, but I still throw in an Amish word or two when I’m talking to my sister who is the one who introduced me to the books in the first place. denki

I read a lot of Francesca Lia Block books back in high school. Teenage Angst Bobyn felt so understood. I'll pull one out for nostalgia sake every now and then.

Anything and everything Nora Roberts. Tagging HilarityEnsued because I know she agrees. ME TOO!! I have a super soft spot for her trilogies, even though it's literally a rinse and repeat formula. I just. can't stop.

Is Prep by Curtis Sittenfield embarrassing? Because I read that more than once. This is I think her only novel I haven't read. LOVED Sisterland and American Wife. I've been considering Prep, I might get it now someone else has said it's good.

I read a lot of YA, so sometimes I feel I should be embarrassed by my choices. But #redhairdontcare Most of the books I read and enjoy the most are YA fantasy/sci-fi/dystopian/historical fiction nonsense. #noshamehere Besides the obvious ones that have already turned into movie series (HP, Divergent, Hunger Games, but NOT Twilight), I love Sarah J Maas, Elizabeth Hunter, Deborah Harkness, Victoria Aveyard, Kiera Cass, Laurell K. Hamilton (although definitely not YA...), Philippa Gregory... I have a lot of ridiculous books that I really like.
