Love that couch, chrisy01. I want something like that for our basement eventually!

Morning! I slept in the guest room and woke up still feeling like crud. Colin's cough still sounds bad but he's full of energy and seems to have forgotten that he's sick. Chase is practicing his words and noises in his crib, and I'm hoping he'll fall back asleep for a bit. He'll need a morning nap if he doesn't get enough now. And let's be serious, I want more sleep.
ETA: and now I have a cough, awesome!

Morning! I'm up with the kids. MH offered to get up, but I'd rather have the snuggle time and go back to bed when MH gets up and the kids energy kicks in. We may do brunch at my sister's restaurant. Superbowl party later on.

Good news, @klongoria! @wine, @sands, and cagoldi,We continually break free from the bottle and then re- introduce it. C is, however, bottle-free to go to bed and bottle-free in the middle of the night, but sometimes I'll give it to him before his nap or in the car.

I wanted to share this last night, but I'm so afraid of jinxing anything, but I am bursting inside. We got a full price all-cash offer . I am so excited and so sad and so terrified. Talk about mixed up feelings. The only issue is that they want to be in (or at least in contract) by March 1 which means finding a place, packing, and more devastating to me moving Josie from preschool. The goal was always to stay here until at least mid-May/early June so she could finish out the school year and graduate with her class. My real estate agent was going to see what kind of wiggle room the buyers had and try to push the contract until April 1, so we had until May 1 to close. Please keep your fingers crossed it all works out. I feel like the rug could be pulled out from under me any minute so I'm a walking stress ball today.

How exciting, guster! Have you found any good potential new houses? No! Yesterday when we had nothing on the horizon, I could've pointed out at least 6 houses that I loved, but now that it's real, there's nothing. 😬

guster exciting!! could you do a rent back option for a few months? I feel like inventory will be picking up in a few weeks. Is her school public and that's why you'd have to pull her, or are you moving too far?

Is her school public and that's why you'd have to pull her, or are you moving too far? That's what I'm hoping happens today, but the realtor seems to think that with all cash offers they usually want in quickly because they night need out quickly. I'll find out today, I hope. J's at private preschool program, but we'd be moving about 45 minutes away from here so bringing her over for 3 hours each day wouldn't be worth it.

Wow, that’s exciting guster but I can see where it would be simultaneously terrifying! You will find the perfect house, I’m sure. And like you said, some inconvenience in the short-term will be worthwhile if it means being in a great house long-term.

Morning!
We’re having donuts and trying to figure out what to do today. We were going to try a church but it is -300 outside so we’re shooting for next weekend 😜
My H is over here torturing himself looking at FB pics of people fishing on their boats in FL—in shorts and flip flops.

One of the houses we really like is four bedrooms, but two on the third floor (Master bedroom it's up there) and two on the main level. What are thoughts on that?

I would prefer all on same level. Or if I had 2 of same sex then I'd make them share a room indefinitely. But if floor plan works that it's not too cramped downstairs, or could be used as an office, I'd consider it. I think when we move we will have kids continue to share until they kind of need their own rooms, in which case maybe being older I'd be fine with being on a different floor? Hard to tell.

tallb, that's pretty much where I am. I prefer bedrooms on the third floor and all together, but we like a lot of the space of this house and it has some elements that we got used to here that we're not ready to give up if we don't have to (it has a glass atrium like we have here). My thought is that while they're still small they could share the fourth bedroom next to us upstairs (we'd use the two main level bedrooms as an office and a playroom) and then as they get older they could move to the main level and we'd make the upstairs fourth bedroom an office/library-ish area.

guster Congrats on the cash offer! I personally would want my kids on the same level as me. But maybe once they are teenagers it would be ok?! Then again, they’d probably be able to sneak in and out of the house without being heard. We have a master bedroom on the first floor and three small bedrooms upstairs. We turned the master to a family room and are all upstairs.

guster Congrats on the offer. I think your idea with the bedrooms works perfectly. You can always post links in the private board if you want.
