Morning!
Taking DD to swim group and my dad is meeting us there to help out.
Then my mom is coming down after her nap to take her out to lunch and play.
I’m looking forward to a little kid free time to rest.
No plans tomorrow!

No big plans today. My mom leaves tomorrow morning and I'm ready. It is nice to have extra help but I'm ready to have my space back to myself.

Ttma about engorgement- my boobs are so so big and painful. All my nursing bras from DD are too small now, they crush and contort my nipples which I think is adding to the pain. I'm 8 days pp. When is this supposed to settle down and regulate? I'm hesitant to buy new bras in case they go down quite a bit when my supply regulates.
What can I do to relieve the engorgement without increasing my supply? I've been hand expressing a bit but would prefer not to pump since I find pumping a pita. What about hot/cold compresses? Which do I want?

I ended up staying over at my parents last night. My sisters are in town with their spouses, so when we got back from dinner I decided not to venture back out in the cold. DH works Friday night and Saturday morning, so I’m on toddler duty anyway. The only problem is that DS always wakes up SO early at my parents place. So I’m chasing him around their minimally baby-proofed house hoping someone else wakes up soon and wants to play with him 😬

Good morning! I have been up since 2am because apparently my body hates me. Baby slept pretty good though. I am on my way to get my taxes done. I am with my dad and stepmom. MH is Home with the kiddos. It will be several hours until I get home because our accountant is 2 hours away and we haven’t stopped for breakfast yet.

Hi ladies!
We went out to look at a new car this morning. MH drives an 11 Sonata and we are not happy with it anymore, so he test drove a '18 Impreza today. He wanted to get stick but he's actually the worst.
I have a '17 Forester and love it. We love the 0 down on lease programs at Subaru and they basically don't penalize you for leasing before you own to lower your payment.

Good morning! I am taking DD to the doc at 11:30 this morning. She is definitely sick. Just not sure it’s the flu. She sounds like she did around Christmas and had bronchitis. I just want her better.
We went out with my parents last night to celebrate my birthday. It’s not until Tuesday, but I’m hoping to have an outside baby around then. So far, there are no indications of this happening.
We’re supposed to get about 6” of snow starting this afternoon into tomorrow so we’re just hanging out at home being hermits.

DH came up to bed last night to find me fast asleep upright in bed with DD3 on my lap. I apparently picked her up to nurse her and passed out. I have no recollection of any of it! No alcohol involved, I promise. I guess it might be time to consider cosleeping - I would rather safely cosleep than risk dropping DD3 off the bed if I am in that situation again. I feel terrible.
We have no plans for today. I made a fancy breakfast of egg muffin bakes and “skinny” chocolate peanut butter muffins. I think it is supposed to be really nice out today so hopefully we can make it outside so the older two can burn off some energy.

benandjerrys mine were super hard, large and downright painful starting right away at 3 days pp. I even had a huge lump of breast tissue in my armpit. For me it lasted around 5 days with the first few being the worst. I just had to stay on top of pumping and keeping the heating pad on them often. Hopefully they calm down for u soon

I feel like I basically sttn! M did a dream feed around 9-930 and slept until 115 but MH did that feed while I half slept. Had him back to sleep by 215 but at 4 D came into our room and asked if I would go back to his bed with him (I now gladly accept this offer every time) and H did Maddox's next feed at 5. I feel like a new woman
I'm also at that place where I want to eat and make all the delicious super bowl foods but I'm currently 15 pounds below my pre pregnancy weight and would like to keep that going and finally get rid of my first pregnancys weight gain. The struggle is real

benandjerrys I dealt with painful engorgement that almost took a bad turn but didn’t just in time. Hot before and cold after I did some dangle feeding (lay baby on your bed, hover over) for a few days and it helped. It’s annoying but it really helps drain. I also used those little pump things I can’t shut up about for just a couple minutes while I was letting down on the boob I wasn’t feeding on. They really helped me. I also would squeeze one on for a minute or two before feeding so baby could get the boob in her mouth easier. I should probably do marketing for that company.

Last night was not good! I couldn’t even go into the MOTN thread bc it was so bad I didn’t want to document it.
This was after some really good nights and days and a perfect 10 of an evening so I hope we get back to that.
The timing of her poops seem to dictate the length of her sleep.

5w3d is too early for a baby to legitimately smile right? I don’t think DD1 smiled at me for a few months but I swear DD1 smiled at me a few minutes ago. And me laughing made her smile more.

I'm here. Still pregnant. I had some more diarrhea this morning and also puked pretty hard, more than the usual these days. I'm also feeling more pressure so I think my body is getting things going. I'm just hoping it is her head down and not her butt. I really can't tell. I feel like I'm getting feet up in my ribs but don't know if I'm right.

Hopefully sometime this year Well, we were hoping to get out from under our Sonata, but they won't give us enough in trade to pay it off, it's rough for its low mileage. I'm really risk averse and MH is very $-averse, lol, so we're at odds on what to do. Right now he wants to try to fix his Sonata, it had some things going on with it that shouldn't at 60k miles. Plus, the info we got on the Impreza really didn't thrill us finance wise. I drive the Forester, so its his decision to make.

Every waking he had a diaper full of poop. So irritating! He could definitely sleep 4 hours but last night it was barely 2.5-3 because of the pooping.

We have a photo session this afternoon. The main focus of the pictures will be of james but we will also do some pictures with the family.
I feel frumpy but will regret not being in any pictures.

Man y’all. I’m glad I’m not still pregnant— listening to y’all who are still suffering is just like man, I’m so glad haha. I hope it goes quickly for all of you Feb mamas!!!
I’m reading a book & DS is napping. Everyone else is still at the zoo. I’m surprised they’re not home yet since it’s DDs naptime right now. I’m not complaining though, the peace & quiet is really nice.
