Trigger warning: infant loss mentioned
We’ve had a running list forever but are pretty set on a boy and girl name (for now) (depending on what the sex is) (we think). Our son, who passed, is named Otto Alan and our daughter is Hazel Marie.
So we are working with: Girl - Lucille May/Mae aka Lucy Boy - Orson Alan
Otto lived for one day, and I love the idea of honoring him with his potential brother’s name also starting with an O. Truth be told, I love the name Otto and wish I could use that name again without confusion. Lucille is so classic but my family is going to have a field day as we are all Arrested Development fans, and having a running joke on her name doesn’t worry me. We might even have a Arrested Development baby shower! Welcoming (gentle) thoughts on the names and would love to see other people’s lists!

I love the name Lucy and if it didn’t rhyme with my #1 choice for a girl it’d be on my list. We’re settled on Ruby & Claire for first names but haven’t discussed middle names. In my head they are Ruby Matilda and Claire Beatrice, but I’m going to wait until like...37 weeks to let MH know and give him a chance to come up with something else. He won’t, so 95% sure that’s who they will be.

I have no idea. DD is Eveline Sora. Her middle name is an actual name in both Korean and japanese, so I'm trying to keep that tradition. So middle names will be either Mika, Mina, Yuna. I kinda like Liliana for a first name, but I think that's too many "a" sounds. I was going to name DD Rowan/Rowen, and I wish I had, since it's much more her than her real name, but Eveline and Rowan don't go together really. I'm so lost.

My girls are Syd.ney and Pen.el.ope. New baby we are thinking Lily but are still deciding. DH wants Lillian but I prefer the shortened name. I love Ruby and Grace but DH didn’t. We are frankly out of names we both like by number 3.

DD is Jocelyn Dan.ielle and DS is Isaac Nath.aniel
We have agreed on Gabrielle as a middle name...even though I can’t stand matchy, themed names, DH does, so we have compromised on middle names that end similarly, lol. We’re not locked in if we decide on a first that doesn’t go well. Like Hazel - absolutely love that name but DH nixed it 😭
So far, the only name we both like is Cecilia. While that’s quite the mouthful, our last name is super common, so I don’t think it would be too much. Just not sure I like it enough to not keep talking about other names.

We are going with Madelyn May. May is after my H’s grandmother. My first daughter is Gabrielle Aileen. So I’m going to have a Gabby and a Maddy and I’m probably going to confuse their names all the time! But I’m excited.

If baby had been a girl the name would have been Kathryn Tess or Kathryn Claire.
Since it's a boy, my favorite names are Connor, Wesley, Mason, and Henry. DH likes Connor Mason, as do I. I'm a tad nervous since my cousin is due five weeks ahead of me with a boy. I hope she will at least tell me a couple of her top names with the promise that I won't use or tell anyone. If she uses any of those we would choose something else. Of the four, Connor and Mason seem like names she would like 😂.

DD is Madison Lynn. H's name starts with M so I was think to have this DD start with a K like me. H likes Kylie, but my brain thinks Kardashian when I hear it

If we have a girl I'd really like Catherine. H isn't feeling it.
If we have a boy he really wants Winston, after his father, but I'm not feeling it.
We won't know the sex until April so we're holding off on this argument until we know if it is a boy or a girl.

no flipping clue. if it's another boy we are really screwed. both times previous we spent the whole time in the hospital trying to hash out a name, up until the very last minute when we had to fill out the paperwork before we left. we do like to see the kid before we see what name "matches" with them to some degree, and of course we won't know the sex until he/she is born, but we don't even really have short-lists of names we like. siiiiiigh...

DD has the same first initial as H, and MN same as me, my mom, and both my grandmas (Amelia Louise). We're thinking of keeping some of that going, so the current front runner is Emmett Michael. (First Name because we like it and same first letter as me, and Michael was my grandpa (H's MN starts with M, but it's after his grandpa, who was not a nice man). I have not talked H in to the MN yet, so other names in the running for either slot are: Peter, Oliver (too commmon for my taste), Ezra, Isaiah, Edgar. I like a lot of classic names, but we know too many people that have them/have kids with them (Benjamin, Thomas, Patrick, Henry) but might be potential MN.

I've named our angels Emily and Isaac. If this one is a girl my husband wants to name her Emily, but in my mind, that name is taken. Rachel and Natalie are contenders.
We're struggling for boy's name. We like the names Matthew, Michael, James, and William but they're all out for various reasons. Christopher and Zachary have been discussed but nothing seems right yet.
We already have a Nich.olas, Rebe.kah (Be.kah), and Thom.as

Almost exactly like Evelyn, but with a "leen" instead of "lynn" at the end. We still get Evelyn a lot. Sometimes I think I should have gone with Aveline instead. I'm thinking I really like Josephine now. And Roselyn. They both go well with Eveline. I like old fashioned names that aren't too common, but also not too old sounding. I have a super common name and it was annoying having like 8 other girls with the same name in school.

I love William, but that's my Uncle's name. He goes by Bill, and we wouldn't use that as a NN, but I'd still rather not use any names that current family members have.

My uncle is William (2nd) and his son is a third then grandson is a fourth. They all go by Bill as a nickname. So when the youngest had a son his wife came up with the nickname Liam (last 4 letters). So much easier.

My picks are Nora Elizabeth for a girl and Lucas James for a boy. I think H is on board with the boy name with little argument (James is his middle name and we both had grandfathers named James, so that's a definite for the middle name). Our other pick for boy name is Liam James, but we know so many people with boys named Liam.
Girl names, we keep going back and forth. Our other picks are Lillian Marie, Amelia Marie, or Cora Mae/May (we disagree on the spelling right now, lol).

DS is Henry Martin. We're having a girl, and Corinne Rose is the top contender right now. Too indecisive to lock it down just yet though. MH is much more easy going and agreeable this time around.

We will wait until we know whether it’s a boy or girl as we did the first time around/. We made big lists last time then crossed off some from each other’s list, narrowed it down and came up with a name we both loved. If it’s a boy this time it will be much harder for me I think because I like classic/traditional names but not too popular/ common and that seems harder to find with boys.

My H suggested a C name to go along with our DS's name. For boys we came up with Cameron and Carter. All the other C names we really like are already taken by family members so we're very limited here.
For a girl, I really like the name Camille, nn Cami. Ultimately, we would've wanted Claire but that's already taken so it'll probably be used as a middle name. Despite wanting a C name, H really loves Audrey. I like it, but much prefer Camille.

To all of you going with a form of Katherine. I just want to say thank you. I wish my name was Katherine but my father said if we aren’t going to call her by her name just name her Katie. I hate it

I’m sorry for your loss. I’m no help as I have a similar conundrum, we named our first son Isaac but lost him early in the 2nd tri. No other boy name has really spoken to me.
I think honoring your first son by using his name in some way is sweet.
