So sorry you just ovulated obscureference and that your cycles aren’t cooperating! I know this is unsolicited advice, but if it were me, I would increase the invasiveness for treatments. What are you leaning toward? I would at least add a trigger shot so it will make you O. More hugs! Thanks sally. I do use Follistim for medicated cycles. I was hoping for a Follistim only cycle to get all that in before H and I leave for vacation in 12 days. RE said no. Now I have 2 options. 1. Go on a few weeks of BCP. 2. Do nothing and wait and see what my body does. Call on CD35 if I haven’t O’d by then to get Provera. I’m not sure what I want to do. I have 1.5 hours to decide.

orangehibiscus I think I want to do a trigger and more monitoring at the least. The nurse said he might switch me to clomid since femara isn’t being reliable. I don’t know though. If I already seem to be getting a cyst every cycle, not sure how I could do clomid. I’m sorry you have two not so great choices. Do you normally O on your own? I hate bcp but I’ve never had to do Provera so I don’t know what I’d do. ETA the nurse called again and he wants another progesterone draw on Tuesday. I guess he will decide then if I come in to talk to him about changing things up.

I think trigger and more monitoring is a great plan obscureference! I’ve never taken Clomid so I can’t speak to that, but it seems like cysts would be a problem with that too. I do O on my own, but usually not until CD50ish. Provera isn’t bad. It’s the CD35 that is getting me. I’m pretty sure I could take 2.5 weeks of BCP and then stop it. I would waste less time with BCP I think.

Ok so I have a question. How many ultrasounds do you typically need in a monitored cycle? I assume there’s still a baseline but I’m not sure about the rest.

I usually only have 1 US per cycle. Sometimes I have 2. One time I had 3, but that was for my own scientific reasoning. RE wanted to cancel the cycle after the 2nd US for poor response, but I demanded a 3rd. That cycle got canceled anyways.

Thanks orangehibiscus! One ultrasound per cycle would be great. I hope that’s what my RE does!

Thanks orangehibiscus! One ultrasound per cycle would be great. I hope that’s what my RE does! It all depends on what your follicle(s) is(are) doing. That’s what determines how many US you have. If your follicles aren’t big enough, then you’ll need another US a few days later. I hope you only need one though!
