BF product, I have to PSA this!
Newtion 2Pcs Babies Portable Silicone Comfortable Manual Breastmilk Pump Suction For Travel
Search that on Amazon
My SIL recommended this to me and I didn’t understand what it was but bought it bc it was cheap and I didn’t want to miss out. These are effectively handsfree manual pumps. You put one up to the nipple you aren’t feeding on, give it a squeeze, it stays attached to you hands free, it catches the letdown and uses negative suction to draw some milk out.
I’m not an over producer at all. I started using it last night bc I was dealing with a massive clog on my right side. Feeding on my left was exacerbating the clog bc I was letting down on right but nothing there to pull out the leaks. Well, not only do I think it helped unclog me but I have 16 ozs in BM from last night til now.
It’s more effective for me at this time than pumping.
I’m somewhat concerned it’s confusing my body but I don’t care bc I’m getting milk and keeping me clog free.
If you leak, want to build up a stash with little effort, are clog prone look into it. Very cheap.

That looks neat rebeccabunch! So far my favorite pp product is colace 🤣🤣 Also earth mama angel bottom balm. I'm not a huge fan of the dermoblast, this is much better for me. Also, my delivery room nurse sliced open a newborn diaper and put crushed ice in it for an ice pack that lasted longer than the gel kind and was more comfortable.

So I ordered a Hakka which sounds exactly like that @rebeccapunch . I'm excited for it.
I ordered earth momma bottom spray & nipple balm, haven't needed it yet so we'll see.

My Boppy, the Feed Baby app, the DockATot, and ER streaming on Hulu are the 4 things I could not live without.
I have heard awesome things about the Haakaa, I am tempted to order one but I also have an embarrassing amount of breastfeeding gadgetry in my house already (including a third pump I am not sure if I will even use but it was free lol) 🙈🙈

Dr Brisseau's ointment. It is a compounded ointment created by a Dr that used to work at the hospital where DD was born. DD had a bum rash so bad that it was bleeding, it was exacerbated by a zinc allergy so we couldn't use the "normal" stuff. You need a prescription and the pharmacy has to make it, but it is amazing! Link to instructions, should you need to request it from your Dr: www.iwk.nshealth.ca/sites/default/files/compounding-formulas/Dr.Brisseaus%20ung.pdf?m=1Also, aquafor as a bum barrier once the bad rash was gone. We've also had great luck with the Nuk bottles.

I’ve been obsessed with the dermoplast this time haha.

The Medela hand pump saved me yesterday. I have an electric pump, but I was so engorged and whipping out the hand pump was SO much easier than setting up the huge electric pump.
I’ve also been loving the boppy lounger. H loves chilling out in it. It’s so portable and is perfect for propping her up on. I used the regular boppy with DD1 but with all her squirming and kicking, she was always sliding down out of it.

Along the lines of the products mentioned, does anyone use the Milkies product to gather milk? A friend recommended it so I was thinking of trying it.

STM with an Inside baby still Baby - for my shower with DD1 we were given Caldesene powder. We swear by it! No need for any types of diapers creams if you use this. Cheap and way less messy. $13 for 2 huge bottles on Amazon Myself - original Belly Bandit. By day 4 I had a lot of loose skin after delivery around my mid section and it was very uncomfortable. My SiL told me about how supportive the Belly Bandit was and how it helped her loose weight and inches so quickly. I ordered it and agree completely! It was actually more comfortable to wear than nothing especially when I bent over to pick up the baby. No stretch marks and only 5 pounds from pre pregnancy weight at my 6 w pp check up.

@watermelon seed I’ve been wondering about the belly bandit or other like-products. I’d love to be able to get back to my pre-preg size sooner rather than later, but I’m super hesitant about those re: comfort. I’m all about comfort and if it’s super uncomfortable, I’ll just be irritable and not wear it.

amesie it really isn’t too bad once you get over the initial fact you’re wearing that type of thing. It has Velcro so its very adjustable and works best if you can have someone else get it to size you want each day. I even wore mine to bed for a week or so. Definitely size up a good size or two! The price $44.99 made me most hesitant.

I see nobody has suggested wine. 😏😏😏 Baha. Good point. In my defense all the beer I’ve had has been local brew and no one on this board lives by me to recommend it to haha 😜

Speaking of post partum, motherhood has "bounce back" pants. It looks like a hybrid of mat pants with the soft waist and just not super low for a belly. What kind of stuff do you guys wear pp?

As for my wine I'm also generally a local wine person. I did pick up a few bottles at the spirits store that aren't pa made tho.. My favorite is a good chilled rosé.

I am wearing any kind of soft pants. I have a couple of pairs of leggings, some sweatpants and things like that. I have a few pairs of maternity ones that I still wear and a few that are from pre pregnancy.

I broke out the maternity jeans yesterday and today. They're still maternity, obviously, but I only was doing maternity soft pants for the last month plus so it's a step towards normalcy, haha.

I thought of doing that before I donated all of them but the seam for the panel would sit right on my c section incision. No thanks to that. Lol

I can fit into my regular pants but am wearing mostly maternity pants since I'm just hanging out at home. When I leave my house I mostly am wearing jeggings.
I organized my pants into categories of too small, fits me, too big and maternity pants so I can choose based on the day's activities! I saved pants of various sizes from my previous pregnancy so I have a small store in my closet. Lol.
