Oh, so excited for baby day easternshoregirl! Fx she gets in the right position! Glad the transition is going well jedi.i set up a very consistent routine when I put M down for nap and bedtime. I kept it very similar to what I said/did when he was in his crib. I think that's helped. skinandbones I hope tomorrow goes quickly so you can get to the weekend! How are you feeling about the surgery fierymama?

Second interview went well I think. They complimented me several times about my work and told me I'd totally exceeded their expectations. Last one tomorrow! I'm ready to be done with interviews.

armpants I went into the appointment confident he would be scheduled for surgery, I just wasn't sure which route the ENT would want to take. We will do the right side this year and if he gets through next winter without any fluid in the right ear, we will schedule for repair on the left.

Fundal height measured small today at my 32 week appointment. I’m prescribing myself more cheese and hoping that it’s nothing.

fierymama what does the surgery entail? Even when you are expecting it it’s hard to take I’m sure

For Isaac when he measured small, they ran some other tests too. And my bp was high. High enough that the nurse really freaked out. Sounds like none of those things happened.

shellyr my fundal height was 2 weeks behind with E from 30 weeks on. By delivery, it was measuring 4 weeks behind. She was 7.5 lbs, 19 in. There are a lot of factors that can affect fundal height, many of which have little to do with size of baby. It can be baby’s position when the measurement is taken, placental position, fluid levels, or just the way you’re carrying the pregnancy within your pelvis. H was supposedly small as well, but that was based on u/s so she was diagnosed IUGR. Anyway, I know it is worrying for anything to be off when it comes to pregnancy. But do your best not to stress too much about it at this point. I’ll be thinking of you & baby

fierymama what does the surgery entail? Even when you are expecting it it’s hard to take I’m sure I believe they are doing a medial Tympanoplasty. They will make an incision behind his ear and harvest some of the fascia/cartilage for a graft. They will freshen up the edges of the perforation and then place the tissue graft to cover the perforation. Then they will place packing in the ear canal to hold the graft in place while it heals. I believe the packing will stay in his ear until his 2 week post-op appointment. The procedure should take about 90 minutes. It will take 6-8 weeks to fully heal. He should be back to school that Monday though.

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well. I've peeked in a few threads and seen a few updates from some of you, I'll try to catch up a bit more.
Things are good over here, but BUSY... always busy. I cannot believe how many A15 mamas have already had another baby or are currently pregnant. I just renewed my birth control prescription for another 6 months... in case you're curious where I'm at for family planning 😂
B is doing really great! He's a perpetual handful, but a sweetheart. I'm just amazed at how much he is learning. We registered for preschool last week (Sept 2018), I know he'll LOVE it. He's naturally very social and doesn't get as many opportunities to play with other kids as I'd like.
Speaking of preschool, he needs to be potty trained before he starts, and that is a huge struggle right now! He has done poops on the potty, but only because we catch him mid-squat and put him on there... he still has no desire to do it himself... I know there are some things we can try if it's getting into crunch time, but we'll see if he comes around. He sure loves reading the Elmo 'P for Potty' book though.
We switched to a big boy bed at Christmas, and that went better than expected. We usually have to stay in his room til he falls asleep, but since he doesn't nap anymore (🙄), it's usually pretty quick.
As for me, everything good. Work is just out of control, I always feel like I'm drowning... lots of balls in the air... but there are worse problems to have. I've been lucky to still fit in a lot of "me time" for socializing or working out. No exciting vacations planned this year, but we are doing some much-needed renos in the spring/summer.
Thanks for reading my life sorry. Here's my big boy PDQ: *poof*

shellyr you can always call the doctor back. Ask what you measured at and if it's concerning, and if it's not when would it be. Hugs, it's so tough not to stress, knowledge can be soothing (sometimes). I agree with the diagnosis of eating cheese though, cheese is a wonderful thing. You know I'm astound oud you want to chat ❤

Happy Friday everyone!

drop off today was the worst for A. She started crying before we left home because C got 1 mNm for sitting on the potty. She wanted candy too. The crying continued in the car. deep breaths weren't helping. she then started crying harder because she didn't see the 2 lion statues since she was crying (we look at them every morning and it's a big discussion to who's side of the car they will be on) and then at drop off she clung to me, her lip was trembling and she had tears just spilling out of her eyes. OMG, my heart was breaking. I hope she cheers up today.

I'm so happy it's Friday. Today is the bank appraisal on the house and tomorrow we're going to the house to do a final punch list for the builder to complete before closing. I can't wait to see how much is done since we've last been there! The builder has also been reaching out to us to let us pick final finishes which is really thoughtful of him.
