Ready for this week to be over!
The school nurse came to find me yesterday to let me know that two students in the school have been diagnosed with whooping cough. Awesome 🙄 Fortunately none of my students, though they are passing the flu around. I had my TDaP and flu shot a few weeks ago, so I am just sanitizing a lot and hoping for the best (and standing a few feet from my students when possible).
I had a horrendous sinus infection when I had DS, so one of my goals is to be as healthy as possible when I go into the hospital this time!

Hi!
7 more days of work.. Including today. I can do this. I can do this! I'm wfh today. I'm reeeeally lazy but I have a ton of home stuff to do.
My Amazon CC had fraud last night on it though, so that's fun. Another thing to add to my to do list today. 🙄

Good morning! The toddler pooped herself awake at 4 so I was up. Boo. I finally got back to sleep for a half hour or so. Now she's sleeping and I'll have to wake her soon for school.
Oh and I'm still pregnant.

The public health nurse is coming this morning. It’s a service they offer to all first time moms. Really just to help with breastfeeding and answer any questions I have.
Then to the doctor for another weight check. H lost 12% if his birth weight at Monday’s check up. I wasn’t producing enough and my milk still hasn’t come in. So we’ve been supplementing with formula. He was up 3oz on Tuesday and will hopefully be up a good amount again today.

I’m so tired of waking up and coming to work super pregnant. Like, I dread it. Yesterday, I fell asleep at my desk for almost 10 min. I’m exhausted. Today is going to drag, but at least it’s my Friday! I’m looking forward to taking DD to daycare tomorrow and then relaxing in a clean house all day (my cleaning lady is coming today)!
Also, it just dawned on me that I forgot to get the TDaP and whooping cough is going around DD’s school. Should I make a trip to the CVS minute clinic to get it tomorrow?

You are probably current on your TDAP but they like to give a booster around 36 weeks so your baby has some protection! I am sorry I don't remember how many weeks you are but if you are past 36 I would ask at your next OB appointment, if you're not there I wouldn't worry about it. Currently you are protected and the booster is just to protect baby after s/he is born :-)

I couldn’t fall back asleep after taking my thyroid meds so I’m exhausted. I have so much to do to. I have no motivation to be at work but I need to chug along until I deliver.

Hello from L&D. I had contractions from about 1 am on that I thought were the BH first but figured out they were real. They were coming 3-5 mins for almost 2 hours, the Dr advises I come in. As soon as I headed to the hospital the contractions slowed. I was only 3. 😭😔 they had me stay and I’m walking for 2 hours then getting checked.
Things are starting to pick up and I just had my bloody show. I really want this to be it but worry I’m putting pressure on myself.
Has this happened to anyone before? Where you started and it slowed? With DS2 I came in at 7 and it was rolling. This one has been harder!

cake my first lost more than 10% so we had to start supplementing and her growth took off like crazy. You’re doing great!

It just slipped my mind!

rebeccabunch, yay for (maybe) having a baby today! I hope things pick up for you. I have no real experience of going into labor on my own. With DD1, my body was not ready and they induced because of high bp and it took forever. Here’s hoping things progress faster for you!

mrsp84 , how many more days/weeks of work do you have if you are already 38+3? Eep! I am only 36+1 and I am already really tired of going into work like this. With DD1 I took some vacation time on the front end of my leave since I was going to lose it at the end of the year, so at this point of my pregnancy I only had something like 2 days of work left. This time around, my last day is next Fri when I will be 37+2, and that feels forever away.

Best quote about Tylenol, ever: "It’s regular-strength Tylenol! Here’s what’cha do: Get her to open her mouth, take a handful, and throw it at her. Whatever sticks, that’s the correct dosage.". Thanks to the lovely Dr. Cox (Scrubs) 😂

sunfrogger, I’m basically going until this baby comes. In hindsight, I probably should have made this week my last week. My last official day is next Friday since my due date is 2/5. Either way, 2/2 is my last day. I feel myself getting stabby with co-workers. So I’m just going to sit in my cubicle and work/browse the interwebs.

It’s so bad though. It feels like my ovaries are about to explode

Today, co-worker said I looked more tired than normal. Wut? Thanks? Yes, my hair is in a pony and I don’t have makeup on, but come on, dude. Same guy (jokingly) asked me Monday if I gained weight over the weekend. I wanted to cry.

Ugh. My hall walking didn’t do enough. My Ob stripped my membranes and told me to go home and try and relax a bit. She thinks I’ll be back within 12 hours. I’m trying not to be too defeated but it’s not easy!
My contractions have picked up in frequency and intensity but this is frustrating! I haven’t slept in days and it’s not like I can sleep through these.
I need some of that fast labor juju that’s been heavily present on the board.

I forgot how terrible contractions feel while you are in it but as soon as it’s over it’s minutes of complete normalness. Like being possessed by pain for one minute and normal for a duration and back again.
Speed up contractions! Do you thing so I can go back to the hospital and get my epidural!
