Great job! I weighed myself this morning after going pee and I hit my first goal! The goal was to be a certain weight before the wedding tomorrow so I just got it by the skin of my teeth. On to the next goal!

nam2013 I didn't do freestyle but before I used my points. Do you have high points because of the carryover? Remember it is ok to eat the points. It is about making healthy choices not about not eating. But this season was easy fir me top lose with all the fresh fruit and veggies and grilling out.

I guess I just need to figure out how it all works. There are a lot of zero points items (veggies, fruits, eggs, chicken and seafood) and besides the 23 points per day, there are 42 extra point per week to use whenever you choose.

So last week I decided I need to step it up to get to my goal by my birthday in July. I got up early two days to run and ate great all week and lost 5 lbs. but then the weekend happened and I gained 3 back. Ugh. So starting over again today.
Since our basement is in shambles, I told dh he should bring the rower up to our bedroom so he’ll be motivated to get up and use that in the morning and it’ll wake me up so I’ll go outside for a run. So we’ll see how that goes.

nam2013, you're doing weight watchers, right? I'm struggling to find something with flexibility that I'll stick to. I was doing some weight watchers research MOTN and thinking I'm going to pay for the app and give it a try! Any advice?

What food trackers do y'all use? I'm interested in WW too wineallthetime. How much was the app?

Sunny41 also did WW. klong11 I use(d) My Fitness Pal. There are tons of food preloaded in it to search, you can scan barcodes of food you eat, or enter your own recipes to get calories per serving.

I just installed Lose It calorie counter app. Our office manager and a friend of a friend used it and lost significant weight when they kept up with it.

I use the Samsung Health app. I love it! When I do it. It has most foods in the database. It tracks water caffeine food and workouts. It gives me macros and breaks down the macros. I also used WW online. I lost a lot of weight and I try to stick to that lifestyle now. I don't enter fruits and veggies into the tracker because they are 0 points and shouldn't be a limiting factor.

wineallthetime yes I’m doing WW. I bit the bullet and got a subscription for the app for 6 months (€120,-). So far it’s okay. You can eat all the fruit, veggies, lean protein (fish/chicken/turkey/seafood) you like. Beware of seemingly ‘okay’ foods like avocado, peanutbutter and regular Greek yoghurt. I have 23 point per day (plus 42 extra to divide as you please) I swapped my big whole milk latte (7 points) for a small skim milk latte (1 point). I’ve lost close to 8lbs in two weeks, but went out to dinner twice and breakfast once. So for me it feels more like getting insight in your eating habits and changing them for the better!

Really any tracker will work. If you don't enter it doesn't help. I didn't enter into mine last week because I knew I was way off and didn't want grief but I need to start tracking again. Same thing happen with WW

I was doing some weight watchers research MOTN and thinking I'm going to pay for the app and give it a try! Any advice? Not nam but, reading some of the people on the GD motivation thread, they say that after a while they realize that the WW app is similar to the Lose It or My Fitness Pal app, and they’re free. I’ve used Lose it at various times and recently have been tracking for over 3 months, it seems cumbersome at first but it saves your meals and food so if you eat similarly through the weeks it’s easy to pick up the memory of it.

I've used WW off and on for years and have always done well with it. Like everyone else said, just tracking everything is helpful for me. It helps me to not snack on stupid stuff that I don't even really want throughout the day, and to make better choices. But most of it I already know, it's just forcing me to pay attention. I am thinking of trying one of the other apps that vino mentioned that are free to see if I have the same results, but if not, I will go back to WW since I know it's worked before.
