Vent ahead: My DD has been vomiting etc since Sat night. It’s been aweful. She’s been at MILs today and yesterday bc she’s not allowed at day until she’s 24 hrs vomit free. Well, today DD didn’t vomit at all (likely bc we had her on a STRICT diet)..... until MIL decided to reward the good day with a cheap waxy chocolate and glass of cranberry juice. Aside from my kid vomiting again is the fact my f*ing car now has a nice vomit interior. Arrrg. So many WTFs to her decision. Duuuude! You should stick to limited diet until you know the sickness is gone. What was she thinking!? Right?!! So frustrating!

45thparallel sorry about the vomit. That's the worst. jedi glad to hear E is doing better. I would continue to monitor over the next few days to see if there is any repeat behaviour. CestLaVie what a sucky way to start the day. That lady's reaction was OTT. She must not be canadian...lol...jk amichelle723. Hi!! I can't believe your DD3 is almost 1! That's crazy! Peekaru how's your week in pants going? Betweenthelines congrats on your contract (however I'm not exactly sure what all the steps mean in the US. Must be slightly different process in the states). Otherway, Happy packing! Lol. If only I can send you all the damn boxes we will have in 3 weeks! Lol RunsforWineandCarbs sorry for the rough start. I will totally admit to some days when we start with the crying feeling SO over the crying already! Like huge crocodile tears. Sigh. I hope your last day solo parenting goes well and you can plan some time for yourself on Thursday. mommabakes Hi! How are all your little ones? aydee I hope everyone is feeling better, and that the gym wasn't too crazy with all the kids! shellyr hugs lady. Let us know if there is anything you need. Recipes, hat pats, silly gifs...whatever, we got you.

coconutbacon that's disappointing about the spot. Is there anyway her current daycare would accommodate a part time spot? Then she could be part time at both places until the Y has a full time spot open up? I think that is also another great way to 'jump the line', and current families will be offered days as they open up before outside families (I would assume). Either way sounds like her current program is an excellent fit too though.

shellyr I'm sorry. It is super overwhelming to have to change a lot at once. Start with the things you can keep the same! Hugs! Is there anything we can do to help? I can't tell if recipes and stuff would just be more overwhelming. Thanks. I eat a fairly clean, vegetarian diet. I’ve always had a normal BMI. I have a very strong family history of diabetes. I’m waiting to hear back about a consult, so I don’t have a glucose monitor yet which is frustrating. I think I’ve cut carbs too drastically but there is no way to really tell without the monitor. I’m accepting everbody’s favorite low-carb, vegetarian tricks and tips

Please don’t quote will be deleting later
Going to share the videos. I called the dr which was the on call dr. It ended up being after hours too. She dismissed my concern saying the thermometer was not correct. There is no way itd be that low. Our normal doc isn’t in until Thursday. I’ll be giving her a ring and maybe sharing these videos.
This video was taken after I changed his diaper and dressed him. This is what he was like through that whole process.
poof
This video was taken a few minutes later. I noticed he was shaking and had goosebumps (which I told the dr and she just said make sure he’s dressed warm overnight 🙄)

jedi I'd follow up with the doctor. The trembling makes me think of shivering and cold. I'd push back at the on call doctor, insist the thermometer wasn't wrong. He does seem cold. Bundle him up extra tonight or have him sleep with you. But definitely call the doctor back. Hell, screw waiting for a call, make an appointment and show videos.

shellyr, I’m sorry about the GD. As for low carb veggie recipes, Minimalist Baker is one of my favorite food blogs. It’s all vegan and gluten free, with lots of completely grain free recipes too. minimalistbaker.comI made her sweet potato noodles with vegan garlic alfredo sauce tonight and it was delicious. Her noodle free pad thai is also one of my favorites.

Help me come up with some ideas.
My MOMS club typically plans a valentines day party. I don't wanna. I don't want to plan a party. We had a party in December. We will have a party in March (around Easter) I do not want to do a party in February. So instead I am trying to think of an activity we can do instead. A tour of some kind. Some of my ideas so far are:
Tour of a bakery then have lunch/brunch ice cream shop (but might be weird to do in the middle of winter) tour of a donut shop then have donuts tour of pizza joint... maybe see if we can make our own little pizzas and then eat them.
We will tour a fire station in April or May
Any other ideas?

Even if insurance doesn't cover it, it might be worth paying out of pocket for a couple appointments until you get the hang of this.

Snow day! So glad because I've been dealing with insomnia. I'm going to nap when M does this afternoon hopefully. redandblue I'm honestly not certain when I'll hear about an interview for the position. I applied the first day it was posted, so it's just been a week it was posted. I plan on asking my supervisor soon.

jedi, for this February party - is it moms only or are kids there too? Moms only: Coordinate a wine tasting at a local restaurant - with some apps to go with it Coordinate wine and apps at someone's house - kind of like a pot luck; everyone brings a bottle of wine and something small to eat. Kids Involved: I like pizza place tour - the cook can toss dough and kids can make own pizzas?? Do an arts and crafts party with pizza - valentine crafts for grandparents or teachers or fathers Tour an ice cream place - I was amazed at how many people were eating ice cream in MOA the other week; apparently snow doesn't stop MN from eating ice cream. Pizza and a movie; get a big screen and set up in someones garage to project a movie onto and order pizza. Hang up some hearts for decorations and call it a day. Trip to the science center / MOA Crayola Experience / All go to an indoor play place.
